Be careful with this company - They say you can cancel your subscription but will not refund. So basically they collect $$ from you, will not refund and that indemnify them from providing a minimum service

I went to Envato to purchase a bundle pack of After Effects presets. Upon creating an account and finishing in the checkout, my account was suddenly locked. Annoying, but not the end of the world. You know, it happens. However, after filling out a ticket to have my account unlocked, I was informed that my account would instead remain locked. I insisted that all I had wanted was to purchase a couple things, but to no avail. When I inquired as to the reason this might be, I was told that they were unable to disclose that information. What kind of company refuses to unlock a customer's BRAND NEW account in order to make a purchase? The employees I spoke to were unhelpful, apathetic and the company as a whole seems to care very little about the treatment of their customers.

I just bought a theme from Envato. Once installed, some plugins don't work because they are not updated anymore, others need to buy licenses to be used ( twitter, quickview, whishlist, slider, redux...!)
It would be normal that all this is indicated before buying the theme.
Moreover, to set up the theme, you will need courage and research, nothing is indicated, it is absolutely not organized, you have to spend hours looking.
Honestly, it's really very disappointing.

If you are thinking that the reviews here by others are sour grapes & exaggerations, then think again! I purchased themes from them because I liked the look of them. No time limits & all had lifetime licenses. After purchasing & downloading, I went to install the themes onto a test platform to see how they would look only to find that the lifetime license had expired leaving me several hundreds of Pounds out of pocket. Out in claims for refunds, only to be ignored by the sellers. Raise disputes on each only only to be ignored by Envato! Now waiting for my solicitor to send them notice of legal proceedings to try to get these scammers into coughing up my cash that they stole with their lies & misleading trading practises. Avoid at all cost unless you don't mind your money being taken for nothing in return - in which case send it directly to me as at least I am honest about what you would get in return for it!:-)

Absolutely do not purchase anything here. They accept payment like paypal but if you are not happy with something you purchased there they will litterally blackmail you.

They close your account and send you an email where they invite you to close the despute on paypal ortherwise they won't reopen your account.

So if you purchased previously many items for years then you will loose the possibility to renew the assistance for example and if you haven't downloaded the token of your theme or plugin code then you have to purchase them again after reopening a new account.
If you really want to buy here I suggest you to stay sticked with paypal as they will never refund you in their platform and open as many as account for each item so you won't risk to loose everything.
Alternatively I STRONGLY SUGGEST you to stay away from this platform. There are many on internet that are very loyal and trustworthy.

I have purchased many products from Envato that simply do not work as described. They are outdated and no longer compatible with software due to updates over the past few years. I requested refunds for one in particular and never got a response after submitting twice and emailing customer service. I then dispute the charge with my bank to get my money back. Later, I go to make another purchase to see that my account has been locked. I now have customer service saying that I must pay the money I disputed back in order to unlock my account. Absolutely despicable, manipulative service. Never purchasing again. Do not recommend!

Acting as if they have a perfect website template, when in fact they do not. Highly unethical business practices allowed on this website.

Leider muss ich nach einigen Käufen bei Envato sagen, das das ganze an Abzocke grenzt. Der letzte Kauf war eine Shoptemplate was fehlerhaft war. Ich forderte das Geld zurück. Eine Sekunde später war mein Account gesperrt. Ich kam auch nicht an meine bereits gekauften Artikel mehr. Das Geld wurde durch Paypal zurück gezahlt, aber das Konto bleibt gesperrt Ich kann jedem nur Raten auf andere Seiten seine Template zu suchen, auch wenn es ein wenig mehr kostet. Diese Firma ist alles andere als seriös

So, i found one Wordpress template that I decided to buy.
For purchasing - I had to create account on their website, and just after creation - I've been locked.
No any description -just locked. Well, so I wrote to support - no answer.
I created another account, another email, browser, credit card - again locked.
I was trying with and without vpn, from different devices - accounts going to be blocked automatically.
Support - doesn't answer, or I have to wait month for their answer via email.
So... definitely perfect time if you want to waste your day for nothing just trying to PAY THEM money for template.
This is the worse service on web I ever seen.

I purchased a WordPress theme from "envato.com". After I checked it I found its interface was too complicated for me as I am a beginner blogger. So, I requested a refund just the day after I purchased it. I received no response to my request for 11 days. A reply came after I posted my complaint on the forum page at Envato website.

In the reply given to me, it was written that they would not refund my money but that I could buy other products. In addition, I have been told that a favour is being done to me.

However, I am not asking for "a favour". I have the right to get my money back. But, Envato takes my money and force me to buy another product.

How do I know that? Because the license of the product I purchased has been cancelled. That means the author will not get money. Envato is a platform that mediates between author and client. Because it is so, they took a commission as a service fee per order from costumers.

As I see, Envato has a kind of monopoly power as a software sale platform. With this power, it exploits both the author, the customer and also the trust of online shopping in line with their own interests.

This method of confiscation is can not be a way to make money.

Purchased a theme through these folks and could not get it to work. They referred me to the author of the theme and I had to contact them through this cumbersome login process on some other website. Very confusing and unhelpful. Tried to get a refund and ended up having to get my credit card company involved. Not a great experience.

I have downloaded video clips from Envato for several years. I saw one that showed a Zoom meeting. I bought it and downloaded it. Then I discovered they were not the usual. Mov,. Mp4 files etc but Adobe After Effects files. I don't have After Effects so I asked the creator if he could supply me with the actual demo video without the Envato watermarks. He said he couldn't because that's what he'd used.

So I then started the tortuous process of requesting my money back from Envato. They point blank refused, parroting some nonsense about them not being responsible for stuff on their platform.

They are obviously a pretty scummy outfit and I will never use them again.

They sell bad quality products, or products that are not as advertised and then refuse to support you and refund you.

They support the sellers over the buyers, so the sellers have an attitude and do not care because they know you will not get a refund.

They block your account when you raise a dispute with PayPal for a refund. So it just shows you that they have things to hide and know that they have bad service and quality.

Do not buy from these thieves.

I recommend to Use alternatives like creative studio, envato remove negative reviews without notifying you!
Envato allow publish low quality products and also support sellers against buyers, thats make seller dose not care give bad support coz the know even if you complain no thing will happen envato help them by remove negative reviews so in many cases you will be wasting your money there!

I was customer since 2014 recently I discovered they removing your review if was negative, not important if honest or no, you can see almost all product have full 5 stars coz invato remove the negative reviews,

I bought theme and had many problems so I contact support but they gived silly dissapointed answer so I submited theme review about exactly what happened, but I Surprised envato was deleting the review 2 times
