Wanted a Drupal theme to simply and quickly apply to site. After downloading there is a note saying "Note: The installation theme drupal on an existing site very hard" - really did not have the time for fluffing around so moved to WordPress and was up and running in an hour. Asked for refund but now been pointing to terms and conditions basically saying take a long walk off a short pier. Have a theme I have paid for but not using because they themselves said it was "very hard"
I am a long-time themeforest client & often refer them to others. After ~20 purchases I had (1) sour experience. I contact the developer & he does not help. I didn't even want a refund, just to switch to a different/lesser version of the same theme without their added (and terrible) code.
I leave a review for the theme & in 2 days it disappears!
I leave the review for the second time & this time I do hear from Envato. They don't really help but they explain that they want to help. I ask about the missing review & they can't explain it. They assure me that they would not manipulate reviews or artificially remove them. He agreed that my review was civil & fair, but reminded me that uncivil or unfair reviews do get removed.
I then move on with my life having forgotten about the issue. I come back today (1 week later) and my review is AGAIN removed. For no reason, without notice. I now have it in writing that my review didn't violate any policies, but it is still gone.
I'm going to write the review again.
Horrible experience. Tried to buy a theme and kept receiving error messages. Still don't know if my payment was processed - did not receive the theme. Attempted to login later and my account was locked. Emailed customer support who replied saying I could no longer use the account. I replied asking why. Eventually heard back with a refusal to tell me why. I feel sorry for theme developers who sell on their platform.
This company is a nightmare when u buy something from them. They will answer only by e. Mail which takes two days or more to respond to. Then u will be transferred to the software vendor who will decide if the refund need to be offered. They have millions of reasons not to refund your money including that you need to give proof that their software or add-on is malfunctioning and the have no solution to fix it etc... Forget if u buy it by mistake. If u downloaded it, don't even waste your time. No refund straight up.
Waste of money and time! Don't get into this if you are a beginner! They are not friendly in accommodating of anything! Plus the merchandises/programs that MOST of the authors sell are NOT clear that you would need subscriptions to yearly purchase of another program. Again, I would not recommend unless you really know your stuff and can easily spot the difference between a file and a program.
They doesn't warn you properly that you will be charged with hidden costs called 'handling fee" for your buying what is a disgusting extra profit-earning method for them to trick the customer if you need a just a cheap item.
You only realize it when you already downloaded the item with the bills, but can't get a refund if you downloaded it already. I'm buying content from marketplaces for 20 years, but never ever had a customer-hater behaviour like this. Never.
Reposting my review here as it looks like Envato decided to remove it without explanation to protect one of its authors called thememove. No wonder they have a 5-star rating as all the negative feedback is being removed.

The absolute worst customer support I encountered so far on Envato market. Every ticket I opened so far was unresolved. You can expect at least a full day delay between each message from the support theme and "go get a 3rd party developer to help you" or "our theme does not work except with the supported plugins supplied with the theme" or "as per Envato policy, we do not support such and such". So, literally, unless you are planning to only use the theme as-is out of the box, I suggest you avoid it like the plague. I shall not be renewing my support as it is worthless. Pity, a nice-looking theme, but with the wrong people to support it."
I ordered a theme installation for $50 and Performance for $20. The $20 is for the installation of a W3 Total Catch Plugin. The provider that Envato subcontracted is Pixelanka. Pixelanka took 7 days to install for an express job that should be 24 hours. On top of it, he claimed that he has already installed the W3 Total Catch.
I contacted Envanto Dispute Department twice. I even sent the attachment of screen shots in the conversation threat, showing W3 Total Catch plugin WAS NOT installed. Plus, the Theme System report indicating that it needs a W3 Catch plugin installation (system showing yellow status)
It seems like the Dispute department did not read the conversation between the Pixelanka and Me, showing clearly that the W3 Total Catch was not installed.
Maybe the Dispute Staff have no clue about WordPress? The Provider, Pixelanda, gave them False information and told them that the job was completed as expected. So, they trusted him and paid him. They closed the dispute case, saying that I have to resolve it with the provider myself. In other words, it is useless for me to complain to Envato. It is not their problem!
Conclusion, DO NOT USE ENVATO FOR INSTALLATION or any other services related to Word Press. Envato will not do anything to make sure that their subcontractor did the job properly. Their staff may not even have a clue of what you are talking about.
Purchased a nonworking plugin for booking. Noticed they try to make you contact their support. They even try to charge you $20 to install it. I reached out to their support team, total joke! I was ripped off for $89
I bought a plugin that was quite honestly laughable in functionality and it was not fit for purpose. I had to go back and forth with "customer service" a few times and was only given the option of a credit.
AVOID
I purchased six months of support for a specific WordPress theme from Envato Market. (I already bought the theme before... so the whole purchase was just about extending the support to another six months.)
The support was never provided. And with this I don't mean I just wasn't satisfied with it. There was simply no answer to my support request for months. I got absolutely nothing. So I obviously aksed for a refund because I paid for something that wasn't delivered.
Now guess what: They refuse to refund the amount to my credit card and instead only want to give me "credits" on their market.
When I insisted to get back the actual money I paid they still refused, saying that their "credits" (that are useless to me) are actually already an "exception to their Refund Policy". So they say basically that I should be glad to get anything at all. In other words, if this is a positive "exception", then their "Standard Refund Policy" must be "we take your money, never deliver your order and don't pay you a cent back". Shocking!
Because it's obviously completely fraudulent to take money for something that isn't delivered and since they openly refuse to do anything about this situation I call EnvatoMarket what it is: A scam operation.
I have paid for the annual subscription to this service, and I am constantly getting errors when trying to download anything, and I always have since inception. It is bogus and not worth your time. Go with ANYTHING ELSE.
Tried everything to get a refund within the 5 day period. Envato and the Author of MSPro total useless.
This company cannot resolve even a simple request. After my Envato Market account was locked (so I was unable to make a purchase) I enquired if it was possible to merge all my Envato accounts (I was paying for Placeit & Envato Elements subscriptions) so I just had one login.
After almost a month and me doing everything they requested, I was told they have decided not to re-enable my account. Of course they continued to take my monthly subscription fee - despite me not being able to use it.
I will make sure to spread the word about this horrible customer service.
Purchased Theme with support - very misleading advertising - did not mention it uses 9 plugins many of which do not work well - after 3 weeks & many emails they offered a Envato credit despite their refund policy stating I would be entitled to "a refund from the author"
Never buy from this marketplace. Most of the php scripts sold are full of Bugs, miserable support from vendors who hang around responding. If you want to buy a script to make it your business, you are going to waste a lot of money and time. Many of the scripts offered for sale are scripts stolen from other websites and that is why they are not finished and full of bugs. You can even find clones of other scripts for sale on this same site. Most of the graphics for sale on this site are also stolen elsewhere and resold on envato. Envato was fine at the start just before the greed made them do anything. Now it's borderline a mafia, agreeing to sell anything for profit. They have absolutely no control over the quality of the products being sold (as they claim) or whether there is an original version elsewhere. Do you want a refund? Forget! For them, sellers are more profitable than buyers. They are the ones who bring them more money. Even more, if you show them that a product is defective, they will clearly answer you that there is support provided and therefore that they do not want to refund. If you buy a faulty TV you don't get your money back? I do. So clearly, go your way.
I bough the product on Envato (Codecanyon), but product doesn't work well. I wrote product's author and couldn't get any support, so I wrote to Envato, but they don't do anything, the worst that Envato locked my account.
I wrote to Envato support repeatedly, but they don't back to me. Extremely bad customer satistification!
The locker does not work, only the social share, so do not buy through the locker. I asked for a refund and was not attended. I didn't even get a response from the programmer. I asked the envato to intervene and they didn't help at all, they asked me to show that it didn't work, to make a film, a giant job, and what reason would I have to ask for a refund? I didn't even get a response from the programmer. I was at a loss. That is, do not buy.
