I was making a $4 purchase and unknown to me envato had added 2 items to my basket that were from a different website that belonged to them. I then checked out and ended up being charged $80.

I asked them for a refund explaining what had happened and they said it was up to the person whose items i had purchased. THE PURCHASE IS WITH ENVATO. THEY TAKE THE MONEY NOT THE PERSON WHOSE ITEM WAS PURCHASED. ENVATO IS A SCAM AND ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF

А если за 1 мес. то 29$ в мес. и это не одноразовый, а ежемесячный и автоматически снимаемый платеж, другими словами подписка.

После оплаты 29$ выясняется, что доступа у вас нет ни к чему и сайт поделиться на 2 части В первой части вместо кнопки скачать у вас появятся замочки.

Нажав на замочек вы узнаете: Для того, что бы, что-либо скачать нужно оплатить весь год 228$

Но! у вас в любом случае не будут полного доступа ко всем темам и плагинам. за ежемесячную или ежегодную плату вас откроют доступ только к шлаку. За самое интересное все равно придется платить отдельно

Утаивание, недоговаривание это одна из форм обмана. Идти на поводу у обманщиков или нет решать только Вам! Предупрежден значит вооружен! Всем удачных покупок!

The idea behind purchasing themes and plugins through Envato is to save time. This only actually works when the items they sell work 100% as advertised, which many of the most "popular" ones don't. You will waste even more time trying to get your money back, because Envato attempts to stall the process for a month. If you do a charge-back however, you will have their full attention, but they will lock you out of your account and anything else you have purchased through them (and not just the disputed item) will no longer be available.

After opening a dispute with PayPal, It was only then that Envato paid attention, they asked me to close the dispute FIRST... before refunding my full money. I did close the dispute and I did get my FULL REFUND.
Envato, you simply need to refund, if your products are faulty and not give credit notes out...
By doing that you have lost any credibility where trust with other peoples hard earned money is concerned.
The negative feedback that you are getting is purely your own doing and yes, no doubt you will change your name or open a sister company, but! With a few simple checks, it can be found out who you are and where you are.
Just play the game by using DECENT respectful rules and not hide behind Giving CREDIT NOTES as a disguise to saying... "So what, I'm keeping your money" as you well know PayPal and other online banks do not take kindly to stealing peoples money... and you and I know they will lock your account and let you have to go through what you put others through to get your money back.
PLAY THE GAME BY THE RULES.
You might even start to get good feedback and get some respect from potential return customers.
At the moment I cannot see anyone trusting you right now.
But! Hopefully given time you may learn how to run a company BASED ON MUTUAL TRUST.
Right now there is NO TRUST when you accept that customers deserve a refund and then hand out CREDIT NOTES?
Change your tactics, get good customer relations and grow your business honourably.

I ordered an Envato product by mistake.
I did not activate it. In fact, I did not even download it.
A request was made to Envato to refund the money paid to them as the product was not even received by me.
The reply that I received was shocking, to say the least.
They claim they will give me a credit against any future purchases but will not refund me the amount paid. Also the credit will expire in 12 months.

I am giving them a 1 star: not for the quality of their product as I never used it, but for their uncouth, unfair and un-American business practices.

Rip off online company. Got a "special deal" from them which was tons of photoshop and website add-ons. Clearly too big to download all at once, would take several weeks to do that. I downloaded what I needed at the time and when I came back to download some more the link was not available. When I enquired about it I was passed around different depts all saying it was nothing to do with them. When I asked for a reinstated link I was told there was not one available. When I asked for a refund I was told no refunds were available. I then asked to see a copy of their terms and conditions, which is a legal requirement in any country, and my email was ignored. This company just cares about taking your money regardless of how good their products might seem. When something goes wrong they don't care. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS RIP OFF COMPANY AGAIN AND HOPE THEY GET SHUT DOWN.
