Yahoo should have a contact email which I'm trying to create an account, going to yahoo answers while some information is about five years ago.
And I'm trying to contact them with my default email account and of course they don't have a email how are people suppose to contact them about issues?
But new I'm trying create a account but of course where's your phone number?
Well I don't have a phone number!
I haven't even tried it yet all because of the phone number thing!
If you want to tell me what it's like please contact me.
My email is *******@gmail.com
But I have heard some bad things about it but I am not sure If they are true.
I have had a Ymail account since about 2007. E-mail received was initially just from my friends. I then joined a list serve for attorneys. I would get dozens of e-mails daily from this list serve. Yahoo seemed unable to handle the increased volume of e-mails. I don't recall now what kinds of problems there were. One thing I do recall is that if a list serve member responded to a posting, the response would come into my e-mail as a separate e-mail. If 10 people responded to a posting on the list serve, I would end up with 11 e-mails (the original poster's + the 10 responses). If I tried to search for a certain subject line (so I could read all the related e-mails at one time) Yahoo often seemed to malfunction (i. E., returning no results, etc.). Fed up, I opened a Gmail account and have used that for the list serve e-mails. If there are multiple responses to a post, only one e-mail shows up in a person's Gmail inbox--the original post and the responses are all "bundled" into one e-mail.
My Ymail account has been hacked at least twice while my Gmail account hasn't been at all.
Yahoo is also lousy at filtering out spam. After the most recent hack, I've found that I typically get about a dozen "pornographic" e-mails in my spam folder. I delete these without opening them but, based on the subject matter, it's clear that they are filthy (i. E., "want to watch me masturbate"). I also get almost daily e-mails in spam re Viagra. I get none of these types of e-mails in my Gmail account. The only genuine spam I get in Gmail is of the "Nigerian scam" variety and I might get 1-2 daily.
A few years ago I was having problems with my Ymail account so sent a complaint to Yahoo about it (don't recall the exact issue now). Anyway, I did get a response from Yahoo--Yahoo took NO responsibility for the problem and informed me that the problem must be MY computer!
Anyway, I am in the process of shutting down my Yahoo account. Wouldn't recommend Ymail to anyone.
Had yahoo for as long as I could remember, it's just garbage now. Stupid updates and keys its ridiculous. I can't login, it won't let me replace my recovery number so I obviously can't get a text message on a number I don't have. AND WHICH MAKES NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER, MY "RECOVERY EMAIL" is the SAME EMAIL I'm locked out of! $#*! me right?! Forget that I have important emails I'll never be able to access. Absolute garbage and you HAVE TO PAY for their help, so stupid.
I have had the same account with yahoo for ever I have a landline listed as my phone and now it doesn't like my password but there is no way to reset it since my phone is a landline and not a cell. Not going to be using that site any more I have tried other ways and they are not helpful at all. I have had a yahoo account for over 25 years and if I can't get back into this one then it will die off and I will no longer use them
It automatically signs me out each time. I now cannot access the account at all because I have a new phone and phone number. It wants to send a text to the old phone to make sure it is me. I didnt ask for that kind of security for my email. I dont have another email account like the other option it wanted. Now I am forever locked out of this email. I will never use them again and highly recommend others not to as well. I should be able to log in with my email and password with no problems. If I wanted to have higher security on the account I should have to ask or choose that option.
If you lose your emails, you will never see them again!
They have absolutely no customer service.
No phone number, no chat, no way to contact them.
I filled out 5 tickets that weren't answered.
They have absolutely no customer service and don't give a damn. Use any other email... it has to be better.
Shocking that after 4 months of being locked out of my own account, losing out on all events that I had booked online - still can't access my account.
Everything you do ends full circle with you back at the start of yahoo asking for details of old emails addresses / passwords and no way to update them, a telephone service would be so much easier!
Can't believe a service could be so terrible, obviously I will probably not be able to send this review as it will need details once again of an email address that I'm locked out of - so would look forward to your reply but once again I will never be about to access it - very angry about this and wish the service was as good as it was 12 years ago when you could phone someone when their website was crap

Been a yahoo user for years and now, leaving. There is no need for them to keep asking me to input a phone number or mobile as there is security questions. They just want my details so they p%ss off. Battle after battle with being locked out. Now they have introduced another click page to get into my account which is just a waste of time. Their news pages and opinion feeds are censored so clearly free speech is not tolerated. For pittys sake Yahoo, call it a day
My mailbox on Yahoo was recently hacked! I have no idea how and why, but someone just used my login details and logged in with no problems and read all my emails. The customer service didn't even respond to my ticket... Not recommended.
Yahoo mail has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE everrrrrrr! They all have super thick accents then when you ask them to repeat themselves they hang up the phone. THEY HANG UP THE PHONE. LIKE WHATTTTTTT! Ive been trying to get help for almost 2 hours now because when I ask them to repeat themselves they hangup the phone because I cannot understand them. Yahoo mail needs to hire actual people instead of a company from india who can barley speak english. NEVER USING AGAIN
Used Yahoo for 15 years. Kept everything in my email. Looked 3 days ago and all my files were GONE. I know that I could not have deleted over 1000 emails with one click. I tried to have them restored not 1, not 2, but 5 TIMES. I got 2 spam emails back. They do not respond. They do not reach out. There is no way to call them to help. They make you ask other users for help who are just as frustrated as you are! STAY AWAY FROM YAHOO OR YOU COULD LOSE EVERYTHING JUST LIKE I DID! BEWARE!
I've been with Yahoo since their very early days (when it was called rocketmail). Recently I seemed to have a problem with some emails disappearing. After logging the issue online and receiving no response in 24 hours, I proceeded to call Yahoo. Having spoken to 3 people and a manager, all I can say is that all my calls were a sales pitch from beginning to end. When you say you don't want to pay £100, they simply hang up on you. Even the manager! It's as simple as that. No alternatives, no ways at fixing things, they just hang up on you. When I asked how to make a complaint, the manager told me to go to my police station. I've never, ever had such poor service from such a large company.
Yahoo Mail make estate agents and used car salesmen look like angels.
STAY AWAY, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
Absolutely NO customer service to help you - overnight accounts were made inaccessible and no recognition of our recovery information
RUN, RUN, RUN as fast as you can - absolutely no access to the accounts
Browser beware.
For safety's sake I would leave no personal info on any emails. Delete, delete and delete often.
Served me diligently for more than a decade. It has been having numerous troubles of late, but its still my main mail service
Have been a user (for personal email) for many, many years. Seems like lately, it's just been a bunch of!@#$%. It's been many issues, but today I can't even forward emails. I use Gmail for work, and have to admit I'm liking it more and more.
Easy to use and simple. Didn't have problems with registration.
I have been using yahoo mail for some years now, I think it is very well put together. So I give it 4 Star Rating.
Answer: You can get the old version back by clicking on the "SWITCH TO BASIC MAIL WITH FEWER FEATURES" below the YAHOO POP-UP AD BOX. UNFORTUNATELY THIS YAHOO AD BOX CONTINUES TO POP-UP whenever I TRY TO OPEN AN EMAIL. I can find no way to delete this MOST ANNOYING YAHOO AD BOX. YAHOO HELP IS NO HELP as they IGNORE my requests.
