Purchased a Herman Miller Aeron chair on their website 12/27. Here I am 12 days later and it still has not shipped. When I contact the company they tell me they can't cancel an order over the phone.
When I email them, they dispute the date the order was placed. Tell me I 'agreed to 10-14 day shipping'. They also insist that I agree to a 5% order cancellation fee.
At no point do they apologize or make any effort to make sure I am going to remain a customer. Just a lot of finger jabbing at the customer and snotty tone.
Stay far away from this company. You can find similar prices elsewhere.
I recently purchased 2 Steelcase Leap V2 office chairs from Madison Seating. After putting the chairs together we noticed that one of the cylinders was stuck. I contacted Madison's customer service department and was pleased that each email/question that I had was answered promptly. Unfortunately we were unable to resolve the problem with the chair and Madison Seating said that they will be sending me a new chair! Thanks for the great customer service. I will be purchasing from them again.
I bought a leap chair v2 from them. It came with three parts, the chair, the cylinder, and the wheel base. After putting it together, the height adjustment lever would not keep the hydraulics up. I emailed them and they were very responsive to email offering solutions. I went through their youtube video and instructions to try to fix it. There is a clip and slides almost like bumps at the bottom of the chair that can be access with a long flat head or flat metal shimmy. I tried for about 3 hours before giving up. This likely is the issue to try to adjust the piston from the seat. I may not be doing it right so I contacted them again. They said that they will send me a new chair to try it. You cannot ask more of their customer service. They are continuing to get this resolve for me. I appreciate it.
I ordered 12 office chairs, 6 of on style and 6 of another, spending almost $6k. They all came damaged, plastic peeling off, missing parts, and no instructions. When I contacted Madison Seating (many times) their customer service is horrible and they will not help you, at all. Please do not give this company anymore business!
I have ordered from Madison Seating twice. The first time I ordered a home office chair from Madison, I was so pleased with the quality and price that I ordered a second time for my school office. My chair is top of the line and practically new, but cost so much less than the normal retail price, and less than any other used seller, too. At one point I had a hiccup with my second order, and Madison Seating's customer service team addressed the matter quickly and fully. I was very pleased!
Hello, I have bought 3 office chairs with madisonseating: 2 knoll life and one humanscale diffirent. The prices a great, the shipping is not super fast but products are very well packaged and you can track your delivery, and the support is fantastic: I had a problem with one of the chairs shortly after delivery and they offered a simple, convenient and fast resolution.
Buyer Beware! Pls read the 1-star reviews before your purchase. This company has a very unscrupulous business model, whereby they ship a defective chair, ask for a false positive review in exchange for shipping a "free" replacement which turns out to be a different model. Then they want the customer to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee for their discrepant shipment. Madison Seating clearly does not stand behind their "100% Customer Satisfaction" claim. Thankfully, my credit card company agreed with the facts and credited me for the entire purchase. It was an exhaustive experience that I don't wish upon anyone.
I would like to commend Madison Seating for their outstanding customer service. Before I purchased my office chair, I reached out and requested a price match, which they happily did for me. Next, my chair was delivered with a few problems. After a few email exchanges they offered to replace my chair and let me keep the defective chair for spare parts- absolutely for free. Their prices, warranty, and customer service is unmatched.
We have purchased quite a few chairs from Madison over the years and they have always been great. This time we received the wrong chair but they rectified the issue very quickly. We will continue to go to them for lower cost quality seating.
I'm updating a previous negative review I left for Madison Seating to say that despite my initial bad impression, when I was mailed a broken chair and left with it for a month, as of today, Sara from Madison Seating reached out, she was very apologetic and kind, and said this never should have happened. She is now not only sending me the replacement parts I needed, but also a second chair at no cost, as an apology. I feel much better about Madison Seating's customer service after this, and the company as a whole. It appears that I simply dealt with one very rude customer service rep the entire time, and I'm hopeful now that this experience was the exception, not the rule. The positive experience of having them go above and beyond to correct their mistake is worth more to me than the initial bad impression they left.
I have been getting Steelcase chairs over the past year from Madison Seating and all has been good. On my last order 16 Leap V2 Steel Chairs when the came in 2 of the chair were damage. I E-Mail Madison Customer Service they reply. I was able to use the two chairs replace parts making one good chair. Then Madison replace the other chair with a new one. Madison advise me to keep the broken chair for parts. This was all taking care of in one day.

I have purchased from them a few years ago and again about a month ago.
We purchased over 10 chairs from them and one of the chairs unfortunately had a broken piece. I contacted support and they are going to let us keep the broken chair and they are sending a replacement free of charge!
The chairs are at a great price and perfect condition!

I received a chair that somehow would not assemble properly. The people at Madison were exceptionally responsive, sending replacement parts and ultimately agreeing to replace the chair at no additional cost with expedited processing. It takes a great company to deal with problems in such a responsive manner and would make me want to order through them again. Also, the chair is offered at exceptional value pricing. Very happy with my Steelcase chair and the level of customer service at Madison Seating. They were very responsive when we had questions about the assembly.
This company had the lowest price on the Steelcase Leap Chair v2 on the Internet. The chair arrived in a very large box and only took a minute to put together. I would purchase from this company again.

On the first shipment, both chairs arrived completely broken and not at the fault of FedEx because the boxes were in great shape. When I contacted Madison, they offered me 70% off to keep the 2 chairs. How funny is that. Why in the heck would I want or pay for 2 broken chairs. I understand why and it's because of the shipping cost they didn't want to eat. So I refused their offer and they sent out 2 more chairs which satisfied the deal. Unfortunately, I had to wait another 10 days for those to ship out. When there is a problem with the first order, I would expect the second shipment would have been escalated if you want to be known for good customer service. But, the bottom line is that customer service did fix the issue. I would consider buying from the again despite the issues because you can't find Steelcase Leap chairs anywhere for $250 that are not used. They are open boxed items, but I don't care as long as they are in great shape and function correctly. In the end, the complete transaction took over a month, but I'm a patient person to some degree and the second shipment was good.
I ordered a All Steel chair for an employee, however the chair we received was damaged. I worked with Annie in customer service and was issued a replacement chair in no time. This was an easy and great return experience with MadisonSeating. Would recommend this company to others.
This was the first time using MadisonSeating, and my experience with them so far has been great. We ordered Liberty task chairs, and unfortunately, one of the chairs had an issue where you couldn't adjust the height. I emailed the company, and within a couple of hours, I had a response back stating they would replace the chair. I was pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting a reply so quickly. I thought it would take a day or two. They just made this whole process so easy. I will be sure to use them again.

We offered to pick up the chair at our expense and issue a full refund as we are now sold out of the blue Aeron chair. We did not intentionally ship you an incorrect color chair. Mistakes happen. This was an honest mistake done by a packer, probably due to the holiday rush. The color black and blue are hard to discern on a mesh chair. Please return the chair at this point as your reaction to the error has been a tad excessive.

The first order was processed successfully with the payment you provided and shipped in a timely manner. You were emailed a confirmation of this order along with an order number assigned for that transaction. On the second order you attempted to place you provided a new email address and an invalid credit card number. The order was flagged as a potentially fraudulent transaction and subsequently canceled.
