According to Kleargear, they are Better Business Bureau accredited with an A+ rating however this is what the BBB has to say:
As of November 28,2012, the BBB became aware that the company's website is displaying a BBB Accredited Business logo and BBB Rating A+; however, the company is not a BBB accredited business and the BBB rating is not A+.
The BBB contacted the company regarding these issues and this matter is pending the company's response.
As of November 28,2012, the BBB discovered that some pages of the company's website display the BBB Accredited Business Logo and state "BBB Rating A+", when neither is true.
The BBB contacted the company at the Michigan mail drop address instructing the company to immediately remove the incorrect BBB logo and reference from their site.

Macy's has deceiving online billing practices. If you set up automatic billing on your account it is turned off if you do not have a balance for 1 month. This is a terrible consumer experience. If you think your bill will automatically be paid and then you find you have been charged a late fee and interest payment because your automatic billing was "turned off". Does Macy's expect me to purchase something every month? On top of this complaint, their online billing system does not email a card holder about an upcoming bill or a missed payment.
They fine people for being dissatisfied. If you have to punish those who don't like your service then your service is poor.
Unreal that they would place a blemish on someone's credit report for a "fine" for $3500 for a much-warranted negative review.
Fine me, I dare you.
Would never purchase from scum retailers such as this. Their sole intention is to rip off dissatisfied customers.
Wow that was the worst publicity since the hindenburgh for air travel. Unless they are making good money from fining people what were they thinking. Who in their right mind would deal with them now. Wtf. If a company contracts you out of the right to review their bad service then they are saying WE HAVE SOMTHING TO HIDE.
These thugs are trying to stifle free speech. They have included non-disparagement language in their ToS that effectively says, "No matter how badly we screw you over, you can't say anything about it publicly. If you do, we will fine you $3500 and put a ding on your credit score." The only kind of company that would even think of putting that kind of language in their ToS, let along ENFORCING IT, is a company that OUT TO RIP CUSTOMERS OFF. Avoid at all costs!
On-line scam artists! Can you believe such an agreement...? NEVER WILL I ORDER FROM THESE CRIMINALS!
Do they intentionally deceive customers so as to get negative review then sue these customers? An innovative Troll.
This morning, November 29,2013, a video clip titled "Lawsuit threatened over fine" posted on cnn.com, showed Kleargear.com fined John Palmer $3500 for posting an online negative comment about it. Below is the summary.
John Palmer Bought some Xmas gifts for his wife on Kleargear.com in 2008. The couple said the ordered item never arrived and the transaction was canceled. After 30 days, Paypal returned the money to John's account. After repeated calls to Kleargear to find out what happened, they posted a negative review of Kleargear on rip-off report.com, saying in part "…There is absolutely no way to get in touch with a physical human being… No extension works…"
Three and half a years later, they received an email from Kleargear stating they would be fined $3500 dollars if the negative review was not taken down in 42 hours! Rip-off report did not allow the couple to delete the review. So, Kleargear sent to the bill to a collection company. Consequently, that caused the couple a lot of trouble when they tried to get some finance to buy a car. The Palmer said they would take their case to court.
I will certainly stay away from Kleargear.com

Scumbag company sues people that write truthful reviews.
.. Like the current media story of the $3500. 00 "fine" KlearGear slapped a rightfully dissatisfied customer, who then started that, we will NEVER order from them. They have not one thing unique that we cannot find anywhere else, often for less. And as a Michigander, I'm disgusted they are from my home state. KlearGear is not typical of the many well-run online companies based in MI.
Namaste,
Anthony Vincent
This company sues their customers & blackmails them via credit scoring agencies if they dare say anything negative about them. BEWARE

Kleargear.com on their website falsely claims a BBB rating of A+. That is fraud since the best they had was a B before they attacked their own customer.
I would not buy from this site ever. Suing your customers for writing a review of their experience?
The arrogance and evil nature of this company is so sickening. There is no way any company like this should have the ability under the law to lower a persons credit rating with impunity. How did they get that right under law? I think these folks should be able to collect damages from them. And I mean simply in there local courthouse and garnish the account of KlearGear for incurred. Damages and expenses. Who are these people? KlearGear YOU SUCK!
They had a whole bunch of specials advertised, and then lo and behold! The "add to cart" button doesn't even work for those items once they go on sale! Nice scam to get people to your website, though!
Anyone buying from this site needs their head examined. They've proved themselves to be complete rip-off merchants.
KlearGear.com has just cost itself a mega load of customers. What an idiotic thing to do! The proper thing to do would be to contact the customer and try to appease them. This is not the way to approach negative reviews. The negative review was TRUE. Not FALSE. You brought it on yourself.
One star is too much for this company. Do NOT buy there.
