I made a purchase in approximately the third week of December 2022. I received a notice from Macy's stating that my order shipped on December 30th. On January 11,2023, I contacted Customer Service to track my package without positive results. I was told that I could cancel the order or place an order to expedite again for immediate shipment. Since I already paid for the purchase, I asked that the funds be deposited back into my bank account. I was told that this could not be done. They would have to credit my Macy's account. I will not do online shopping with Macy's again. First, of all why would a package take over 15 days to be delivered? I understand that sometimes there is a delay in delivery, but I have ordered purchases from other retailers even during the busy holiday season and it has never taken over 15 days to be delivered. Secondly, after I canceled the order, the funds that I paid should be deposited back into my bank account. I don't need funds credited to my Macy's credit card. Anyone reading this post, please learn from my mistake.

I ordered 2 items online. One was shipped without the barcode tag and appeared to have been worn, with the tags reattached. Both items needed to be returned so I went to the store to do that. There were no sales staff in any department! I wandered around the entire second floor looking for someone. I finally came upon one woman working at the "service center", which is apparently where all purchases/returns are made now. The sales woman was very polite but she refused to return the item without the barcode tag. I told her I had a receipt with the UPC code on it. She clearly had no idea how to hand enter the UPC code. A manager had to come down, which took about 15 minutes, and completed the return. My goodness, what has happened to Macys? What is stopping people from robbing the store blind? I will never shop there again.
I am so disappointed with Macy's customer service. It takes forever to get ahold of someone, then they make a ton of excuses why they cannot refund your money within a timely manner. Apparently, I bought 3 dozen dishes from different "vendors" and it takes them 2 weeks to approve the refund. I also bought a sweater from Macy's and it shows up in a blue and not a pink! I didn't have the sense of humor to deal with that. Anyways, I thought Macy's would be way better than Amazon, but no, they are not. Very disappointed.
Ordered a dish set online, received a cancellation for the item stating the item was out of stock, the item is still available online so other fools will think Macys has what they advertise.

Some bozo supervisor named Isabel ******* does little to rectify the fact her agent clealrly lied on the transcript. JThis companies has gone to absolute $#*!. Over the years I have found Macy's website to be very challenging to place orders through. This time, at first it seemed to be better, although I noticed that they had neglected to give the full name/description of some clothing items as they appear elsewhere, leading to some confusion.

After the first cancellation I found Macys had an outdated phone number for me. I fixed that and put the order through again. It was cancelled again. They said they were unable to confirm information about me. The rest of my information looked okay. I don't have this trouble elsewhere. Others online were mystified by their orders cancelled by Macys, which grabs defeat from the jaws of victory.
I have tried to order from Macy's a lot of times. When I enter my card, pay for the goods, then in 10 minutes I recieve an email that my order was cancelled for no reason and then I need to wait for 14 days for my money to be refunded! I tried different cards - but always the same!
Tried to return a defective item bought on my store credit card and have spent a few hours trying to return. No one can help! Will be taking my money to Nordstrom. Customer is always right there.
I ordered Frango Chocolates on December 15th with a promised delivery date of December 21-23rd. They came in December 27th, a little late for Christmas gifts. I've ordered these for the last 10 years as great last minute gifts. No excuse! Plus the wrapped boxes look like they were dragged here behind the UPS truck.

I have been waiting for a credit from Macys of $101 and a replacement credit card since June 2022 there was fraudulent charges on my account in June and I called that month I physically went to the store and spent two hours trying to fix this! I was assured at the time that they would send my credit of $100 out and my replacement card at that time. I never received either and since then I have called 12 more times and visited the store three times each time they've told me I will receive my new card in 7 to 10 days I still have not received it! I finally got the credit in the mail on December 12 but no card when I called today they said all credit cards are delayed! IT HAS BEEN 6 MONTHS! THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH!
I bought a ring that was on sale on Dec.16th, and Macy's did cancel my order without notifying me. Now they want me to buy the same ring at full price.
Worst customer service that you can get. I called *******229. I don't know why they are not checking phone calls to see what's going on. Today someone hung out on me. I purchased a men's shirt for my step father that says was delivered along with a pajama set for my mom. The tracking number included both items, the pajamas and the men's shirt. Unfortunately, when my parents opened the bag, only the pajama set was in the bag! The men's shirt was missing! How disappointing! My step father had nothing to open on Christmas morning!

I have been a loyal Macys customer for over 35 years but finally got a taste of their utter inefficiency and disgusting customer service. I bought 2 suit jackets in May 2022 which unfortunately were the wrong size. I returned them immediately using their return ticket. Surprise? I got the two damn ugly jackets back in December. I called to return the jackets and was told that the customer service rep who processed my request coded it for replacement - why will you replace an item tat is a wrong size with the same item? Now their excuse is - sorry you cannot return it for refund because it was initially bought in May and past the 30 day refund period in December when they return it back to me.
Macys customer service seems to be located offshore as I could not understand a single word they were saying. They have no ability to resolve customer issues and are just a little better than the AI robot they have on their online chat

For Christmas I made a purchase at Macy's and pay extra to get my kid an expensive toy, so it was the only gift that I can buy for him. Now Macy's say we are sorry but it's not going to be here on time and also, we can't refund or even made a good discount for the inconvenience. I bought it with time, but now I don't have the time to get the only toy that he wants for Christmas. The customer service for Macy's has gone down in the years. This definitely the last time dealing with them. They will put you on hold, transfer you back to que or simply put you on mute until you hang up. This year they have ruined Christmas for my family. After calling every day the past few days and them sending gifts to the wrong address, they now have over $1000 of pending charges on my credit card for 6 pair of levis jeans. This is absolutely ridiculous coming from a a supposedly high end store. I am so disappointed in their customer service. Please bring back the agents who speak english
