I made a reservation more than 24 hours before I needed the car. It never came. No reason was ever given. I have generally used Lyft over Uber in the past because it usually was cheaper. But I'll pay the extra $$ if the reliability can be counted on. And Uber is far more reliable. Lyft just lost a customer.
The most disgusting - never take a Lyft or Uber in JC- never again use this trash - do not use this at all
The drivers are fine but the app is INSANE. Schedule a ride and it doesn't show up and you have to call another? Yeah. Assume that will happen cause otherwise you'll end up like me waiting for an hour. Need help in the app? You won't get any. It's set up in such a way as to make it entirely impossible to resolve ANY issue no matter how minor.
Just use uber.
Drivers are not paid adequately when rides are cancelled due to no show! Drivers should be paid at least half the money when riders cancel or don't show after driver has arrived for pick up I am a 5 star driver that they just lost because of this issue! Time to try Uber and see if they handle their drivers better because as long as Lyft gets theirs they don't care if they pay you well below what it cost you to go do the ride that was cancelled and all their support does is apologize like that apology is helping pay bills and for gas and time wasted NEVER DRIVING FOR LYFT AGAIN…… This is why the good drivers quit
On August 9,2023 at around about 2:42am I ordered a Lyft and kept trying to call the driver but he never will answer the call because I was trying to see where he's at and the driver never picked up me and my grandkids… So I had to order another Lyft to pick us up same location and drop off location the same as the first driver… That first driver put in like if he picked us up and he did not I even showed the second driver how many times I tried calling the first driver to see where he's at… That second driver said that's probably why he have a 2.8 ratings because he probably been doing the same thing to other customers, I put in a dispute and haven't heard anything back from Lyft, but when I ago on the app talking about they see nothing wrong with that ride… Like what I know they can clearly see that that driver neverrrrr picked up and I had to order another they trying to basically just take my money for a trip that never happened, Uba is the first driver that never picked us up
As a driver that is at a gold status with 5 star rating, you would think that I could get help when needed. Their customer support chat is awful. They don't even read your message, just send a canned response and close the issue. There is no number to call and speak with someone. I would really look into other options and opportunities before deciding to drive for Lyft. I am currently looking for other opportunities myself. Hope this is helpful.

Lyft maintains your credit card number even if you delete your account. If you try to delete your credit card number, you have to choose a different form of payment. They hold your card hostage. Uber lets you delete your card without picking another form of payment. Most companies do. They ask " Do you want to keep your card on file?" Not Lyft!
The basic job of Being a rideshare driver is great, and I really enjoy it. However be aware that if you drive for Lyft there is a huge lack of support and it's a F*%^king joke. There will be rides that are "scheduled" and it's 50/50 that that person will even show up and a 50/50 that you will not be compensated for that ride at all. Example: they send you a medical pre paid/pre scheduled ride, and you were supposed to pick that person up at 3:00 but it's already 3:15 when THEY assign you the ride, then that person doesn't show up- YOU WILL NOT BE PAID. You can contact support all day you can screenshot them proof all day but it won't help cause they won't help and they won't care they will say you were late and it's your fault. And this happens way more than it should. Also the bigger issue so i was scammed and my account was hacked into, money was stolen out of my app and I was conned into going to a bad neighborhood. Did Lyft care? Hell no! They did nothing! I was told time after time by a "tech support" robot text thing that my case was special and important and I needed to be contacted by their "special team". No one contacted me ever. I sent MULTIPLE messages to them about the same thing and nothing, I was dropped and disconnected everytime and no "team" ever called or emailed me about it. I even sent them the Police report number I filed with the Sheriffs department and told them it's a legit scam and problem and still nothing. When there are actual crimes happening you should be able to get a real English speaking person on the phone to help get these things solved. Lyft has failed miserably on this. How is it even legal for a company to do this? I hope Uber is better I have not tried them yet but I will for now.
The just kept stringing you along. They have no drivers available but they don't want you to leave the platform so they just say 5 minutes and then after 15 minutes they say 2 more minutes and after 8 minutes you're thinking WTF? I'm done
Be careful when taking Lyft in Canada. Last week was charged for a ride where the drive made me wait for 35 minutes no pickup atill charged. Lyft are crooks they refused to look up my concerns s or address them. Take a taxi they are dishonest. Pic of driver in the bottom. Do not accept a ride from him.
Been driving for lyft already for 5yrs. However recently Lyft started garnishing my wages. I tried to contact CS and you cannot speak or call CS only through chat. Finally a person said my garnishment was due to child support. I payed and finished paying child support and then 3 years ago I became the custodial parent and started receiving child support. Long story short I contacted the CS office and they informed me that my case had been closed 3yrs and I did not owe they actually send me back a check for my back pay. I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE DRIVE FOR LYFT. Unless you wanna pay someone else child support.
The most BS place to drive for, they will use and abuses you, driver doesn't mean anything to them just a tool to make them money
Lyft is the absolute worst service I have ever used. I was dropped off at the airport and all seemed okay I rated my driver good and then tipped a high percentage. Then 45 MINUTES AFTER I was dropped off my driver charged me with an $80 damage fee that I absolutely did not do. He spilled a drink in his car and then blamed it on me and Lyft costumer service was so incredibly rude. I am never ever ever the one to even write a review or complain but I have never experienced something like this before in my life. Do not use Lyft!
I was scammed by a drive who lied and said I waste coffee in her vehicle when she picked me up all I had was a back pack & a cellphone no food are drinks lyft allowed the drive to lie to them and they went alone with the lie she told a 10.00 ride turned into a 100.00 ride I've contacted lyft they fail to fix this matter now I'm filing criminal charges on the driver for theft
After scheduling my Lyft ride for today at 9:15 last night. I waited outside for 45 minutes just to have them text me and tell me that they don't have a ride or anything area. So I missed my flight at LaGuardia and now I have to wait 10 hours for another flight. Not only did it cost me an extra hundred dollars to try and take a taxi to get there on time but now I have to sit in the airport for 10 hours never again would never ever use them.!
Suisun City, California I ordered ride in advance to be in fifteen minutes, I came to spot earlier than 15 min driver nowhere to be found my account showing driver canceled my ride for no show on hot day in August I ordered again the driver wasn't the one from Lyft photo profile. Got twice charged cancellation fee. I opted no tip since they already took money for no service rendered but they still charged tip. With this kind of running ride sham how they still exist? No more Lyft ride for me I'm removing app.
I have been using lyft a lot. I always preschedule my rides. However, I've used priority. If priority starts 5 to 6 minutes. I expect a driver on 5 to 6 minutes. But the driver will accept the ride knowing their 12 minutes away and we still have to pay priority. This is no longer a priority pickup if it matches the 2nd pick up option for less cost. Why not automatically change the price? Obviously, we're not getting the priority service. It's a rip off and I can't wait until my truck is out of the shop.
Another thing that's happened to me just before receiving my weekly bonus. 45 to 60 pickup. Message sent you need to update your information keep in mind I have been with lyft close to 2 years at the time ss not matching up with there records try sending it over 5 times time runs out to complete bonus 05:00 Bonus Lost what away to go lyft. $160.00 extra for the week at estimate of $5 to 6 per run average.
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
