WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have purchased 3 systems from lorex. The first one was excellent, the picture is great. Two of the cameras have already gone bad and were replaced. The next two were purchased on August 13 and my order was missing two cameras. I contacted customer service, they assured me that they would send the cameras. I have yet to install my systems because I am missing cameras. It is now October 31 and I am currently on the phone holding(for 55 minutes so far) attempting to get this resolved. I cant even return the systems as it has been past their 60 day return policy. I have called 12 times over the past 9 weeks and still nothing. TERRIBLE.

I've been having problems with connecting to my cameras using the app. I've filled out 2 tickets and got no response. Calling is a joke because you will wait hours and never get to speak to someone who can help. Regretting my purchase!

Re: Ticket ID *******. Have not heard from them since generating ticket online. Total hold time with 3 trys to call is now over 4 hours. One call answered after 65 minutes by person that could not speak English. Didn't seem to understand my request to talk to someone that spoke English. Starting to wonder if other reviewers houghts that Lorex is going ourt of business are true. A healthy company would not treat customers this way.

1 CAMERA IN A NEW SYSTEM WAS DOA. HAVE TRIED FOR MORE THAN A MONTH TO GET IT REPLACED. HAVE CALLED BACK MULTIPLE TIMES(AVERAGE WAIT TIME MORE THAN 40 MINUTES) AND NO ONE HAS AN ANSWER.

I purchased a system last December and installed it for my client. The wireless did not perform as specified so got in touch support who after many tries and upgrades to higher performance antennas which still couldn't provide reasonable quality. Then they swapped out all four wireless cameras and still no resolution. BTW... each call exceeded 40 minutes with a promise to resolve the matter by escalating matter to a higher level before the end of the next business day. Each time they never returned their call and apologized profusely using standard corporate apologetic narrative. Now its the end of September and I went and bought a new system and I am going to pursue litigation against the Company as they have left me no choice but to resolve this mater litigation. (Major Bummer)

I finally got the issue resolved, but not until review posted on sitejabber. It seems that management is monitoring this site, but evidently not all sites. It seems a shame that such a large company is so far behind on customer service that they are reduced to reacting to consumers who are angry enough to post negative reviews, instead of placing resources in place to protect their reputation and create raving fans. The products themselves are excellent, but the follow up on issues kills the value of the purchase. I am sure that companies like simplisafe etc will continue to add cameras to their systems and with good service they can displace Lorex in the market. Seems a shame and quite shortsighted from a marketing standpoint.

Terrible support- you could die on hold

I am now well over 2 hours on hold. Had a "service ticket" on file for over 2 weeks with no reply, even after additional email requests. I have a failed camera that is under both standard warranty and the extra warranty I paid for. Spent $2884 for a fully packed 16 camera system. I have 3 more businesses that I am adding cameras to and frankly I am glad I found out now how bad support is before I spent an additional $9K with them. I will go elsewhere and vote with my feet.

I purchased a 4 camera NVR system which actually took 3 weeks to get here to boot and when I hooked it up the quality was subpar and I was very disappointed for spending almost $600 on 720P security system. And I went to return it on July 18th and they received it the 25th and I still have not even heard back from them on my refund it is going on a month. They are the most unknowledgeable worthless people in retail to speak with and very frustrating do not waste your time if cuz if you do not like the product you'll spend months getting your money back as I still have not.

Ordered two sets of security cameras and the equipment they connect to. Bought one for us and one for my electrician sons' home in exchange for him installing ours. Our set did not include the bixnthe system hooks up to. Only the cameras. He has been contacting you people for almost two months with no feedback or assistance. He recently got an email from the complaint dept. masking what he needed assistance with. This is after multiple phone conversations. I don't see how you people stay on business after reading all these other horrendous reviews. I feel like we are a victim of fraud. If we don't get some results asap (the missing critical piece) I am going to blackball this company's name all over social media. Being nice hasn't worked.

I have had experience with many companies but the quality of service is terrible. Within two months, I had a camera fail. It has been a month and I still have yet to receive a replacement. I have spent hours on the phone, and at every level of escalation it takes 3-4 business days to receive a response.

Wireless camera system 1080 P HD wireless I purchased this camera system last October for 500+ dollars at Best Buy the system has never worked right I've had camera that has never worked. Update to "Sad in Phoenix" review below: The Vice President of sales, Steve Gold, intervened regarding the issue with the noisy fan in my Lorex security system. FLIR Systems, Inc. replaced my Lorex unit. I am happy to report that the fan in the new unit is working fine. No more sleepless nights! Thank you Steve and Lorex by Flir. You took the time to care about your customers and provided outstanding service. "Happy in Phoenix."

I purchased the Lorex LHV210800 Digital Video Surveillance Recorder at Costco on 12/31/2015. The video images are crisp and the DVR records approximately 1 week of footage (the length of time depends on the resolution you choose for your images). Please note that the connectors on the back of the DVR are set very close together, so it makes installation of camera cables a bit difficult, but can be accomplished with patience. Approximately one month ago the DVR started making "dragging noises" as if going through some type of back-up cycle, and now hums constantly, almost like when you purchase a radio alarm clock that has built in sounds to help a person sleep. The DVR sounds as if it is simulating "wave or snoring" sounds. I contacted customer service and they referred me to their Technical Department. Sadly, the Technical Department informed me that my warranty was no longer valid, even though I did extend my warranty on-line. Apparently, I extended a warranty that was already expired. What a shame that my Lorex system started making these "dragging noises" right after my warranty expired. These noises keep me awake at night. The surveillance monitor and recorder is located in my bedroom, and the awful noise interrupts my sleep. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend that you do not purchase this Lorex system, or ensure you purchase a warranty that lasts longer than one year. I am disappointed with the company for not offering to fix their product. I paid almost five-hundred dollars for this product at Costco, and the constant motor sound in my bedroom and lack of sleep is not worth it. Sad in Phoenix.

I had a camera go bad after 6 months. I got one email reply saying that they didn't have enough info. I sent them pictures of my system and camera serial number. I have emailed them 5 times in the past two weeks with no response at all from them. Their customer service is awful.

Purchased their wireless 4 camera with DVR slow shipping and then right out of the box one faulty camera spent an hour on the phone with a tech to determine that promised a camera would be shipped next day it was not called told it would not be shipped for at least 4 days I objected to it taking so long was told too bad basically got it a week later. As far as distance the wireless cameras can be placed it is nowhere near what they say maybe in a field but not around a house camera resolution is not bad and they were not hard to install but cameras are made cheaply and only have a 3 ft wire before you have to connect to power supply the connection is not weatherproof so you have to get it inside within 3 ft or protect it from weather if you buy the extension cord it comes with a weatherproof connector which is basically a thread on plastic cover probably worth 10 cents I don't know why they do not include it with the basic power supply
I would not recommend this unit unless you need a wireless system that does not need wifi

Camera broke, sent a request for replacement since still under warranty at the beginning of May 2017. Here it is end of June 2017 and still playing ping pong with them asking the same questions over and over with snails past in response. Asking questions that are all on the warranty I already filled out when I purchased the camera system. This is nearly fraudulent in activity to prevent making good on the warranty. Oh how I wish I would have seen these reviews before I bought this trash.

RUN, don't walk away from Lorex! If I could give zero stars, I would.

I bought an 8 camera 1080p system. The system arrived with only one power supply for the cameras instead of the two it requires. When I called tech support it was a horror show. Besides being almost impossible to understand, first I was told they would have to generate a tech support incident number which they would email to me. When I got the email, I was supposed to reply to it with a picture of the package they sent me. After sending the email, I was then supposed to gall them. I waited all day for their email to arrive. It didn't show up until the next day. I then emailed them the picture they wanted & called them. They said they couldn't find my email. I resent it 3 times & they still couldn't find it. Finally, they gave me an alternate email address to send it to. The next day, I got all the notices of undeliverable email in my inbox. The reason given was that Lorex's mailbox was full. Later that day I got an email from Lorex stating that they had gotten one of my emails & my cse was now being handed up to "tier two" & I'd be heading from them in 3-4 days. All this for an effing six buck power supply!

Two days later, I finally get a chance to unpack everything, set it up & test it out before I begin the installation. Imagine my disappointment when I plug the first camera in only to find it's a GLOW CAMERA! Nowhere in any of their literature do they mention these are ancient technology glow cameras. Just what I need, a ring of red lights around every camera to advertise to everyone there's an active video monitoring system & where all the cameras are located.

I'm returning this system for a refund!

Nothing but problems since I bought the system. STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN SANITY! After numerous calls and no call backs, I eventually got them to send out a replacement DVR, but wait it gets better! It took so long to get this done, I couldn't get a full refund on the system. Then a camera went down, took weeks to even get the "ok" to return it. Got the replacement, worked... YEAH until now... been on "tech support" for over an hour trying to get another replacement. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
What a great response from Lorex, same meaningless robosponse that they give to everyone else that they have ripped off. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
