After only 2 months 4 out of 8 of the camera ends have fallen apart inside the cord. When I called the 800 # after being put on hold and transferred around for 2.5 hours all they suggested I buy 4 new cameras. They blamed me for improper install, stating ONLY the camera is weatherproof NOT any part of the wire! The connection that fallen apart HAS BEEN inside! I will return the 2nd 16 channel 8 camera package I bought.
I called because my baby monitor stopped working (absolutely LOVE the product) I called and the gentleman I spoke with was calm, friendly and very helpful! I was calling for some ideas to try and ended up being sent a full replacement no problem. This company is amazing as well and their technical support. Would highly recommend!

I had hard disk errors and no recording was taking place. I had reformatted the drive and still no better. I got Devon in tech support and he walked me through analysis steps. We were able to reformat again and rid the error. He was very helpful and courteous. Thanks.

I ordered cameras from online at lorextechonogy com, but they keep on sending wrong model without any explanation, customer service is very bad. I will suggest keep away from Lorex, really good camera system but wrong people in company that is creating big issue.

We purchased security cameras on January 8,2016. We returned the product and they received it 1/19. It took a week for them to record it into their system (1/26). We are still waiting for a refund and have called multiple times. Lots of time spent on hold. It has been escalated. And a new ticket created, but still no refund. Third time calling it is now "urgent escalation" - it was supposed to take 10-14 to process a refund... we are now on day 17.

I sent a the receiver with a hardware failure that i bought in September 2015 and that was up under warranty that did not work in December 12 2015 now till January 11 2016 didn't get any answer by mail or phone. I have called customer service several times spoke with a customer service rep that did not solve my problem. Then the transferred the line a supervisor who never pick up the phone for 1 hour. I shipped the item with my own money and one of those representatives couldn't find the equipment. I have the tracking number from UPS which shown the person who received the equipment, Customer service is terrible and awful.
Need a replacement ASAP please

I purchased an 8 channel NVR on 11/17/2015, when i received it i hooked everything up and it ran fine, and looked great. After one week i noticed that the storage was full. How could this be? The LNR84W is advertised as having a 2TB hard drive, It turns out that the wrong HDD was installed. I was able to work with customer service, using *******@lorextechnology.com. They made things right and did an advanced replacement and sent be a bigger unit than the one that i purchased. It took a little time to get in touch with someone which i will attribute to the holidays. Overall happy with my product.
I have two issues with Lorex, I ordered 3 Lorex LNC250C IP cameras 1 from Amazon and a 2 pack from Lorex The "2 pack" came with only one camera, I opened a ticket with sales and asked them to check their records that the UPS shipment only weighted 2 lb. they refused to answer and after 3 more requests from me and 30 days they just cancelled the ticket. Issue # 2 was a failure in the pan & tilt function on the 2 cameras I did receive, the final word from tech. Support was this is a new product we don't know much about it please read the manual and let us know how you fixed it. What a joke...
As of 1/1/16 nothing from Lorex
As of 1/5/16 Lorex has contacted me and admitted their shipping mistake. They promised to ship me the missing camera and give me a tracking number when it ships. I will update when it happens.
As of 1/6/16 I have a shipping notice and tracking # BUT it is the same order # and UPS # from the first shipment. (a copy) All dated Nov. We will see what happens.
As of 1/7/16 Thanks, got the missing camera last night. But it should not have had to come to this...
UPDATE: After some time someone at Lorex contacted me and and then sent a replacement unit. I am now upgrading my review to 4-stars. Thank you Lorex.
My DVR has failed. I contacted support via email on Dec. 3rd and got no response. I called them on the 9th and they promised to send me a shipping label so I can return my unit for exchange. On the 13th I called customer service only to be disconnected after automated system told me something 'beyond their control' prevents them from answering phone. I selected the call back option and did not hear from anyone. Today (the 14th) is a repeat of yesterday. No response and still waiting for a call back that I know will never come.
I was foolish to believe that this was a reputable company and I wish I would have spent more money on a DVR from a company that stands behind their products.
I sent a camera back that was up under warranty that did not work in October now it December. I have called customer service several times spoke with a customer service rep that did not solve my problem. They always tell me they're going to transfer me to a supervisor that do not pick up the phone after being on hold for 30 minutes or more.
Resolve my problem

Products seem to work as advertised but their customer service really sucks. I've been trying to reach them for more than a week to resolve an issue that started a month ago. Left messages for callback... all he time hearing how important my call is. Never heard a word! Too many headaches... I wouldn't buy from them again.

I am so fed up with Lorex Support. It is by far the worst experience ever for support.
I have had several phone conversations with them and they still have not shipped a replacement camera.
If you are considering purchasing a Lorex system DO NOT DO IT. Go to another company.
Here is what happened. I purchased a 16 channel, 12 camera system from Costco on 08/22/2015.
One of the Cameras turns out to be bad. This is my 5th system purchased through the years. My second Lorex.
Their support has been absolutely horrible. A complete disaster. Nothing but a verbal run around with lies and no results.
First call to them on 08/25/2015. They required model of system, model of camera, serial number of dvr, of camera, etc.
Explained to them how I tested and know the camera is bad for a fact. They said they would send out a replacement right away.
Next day, received an email requesting purchase receipt. Scanned and emailed receipt, etc. etc. Etc. "
Called again. "Will ship one out right away, etc... ", Two weeks later; nothing.
Another call to *******739. "This was suppose to be taken care of, etc. etc. Etc.".
Was told someone would be contacting me in 3 to 5 days? For what? They have all the information. No contact.
09/17/2015 On hold for 33 min. Transferred to supervisor. Will be calling to authorize replacement.
Will call me back in 1 hour. Never called.
09/24/2015. Called Costco for help. Costco called Lorex. Costco got a complete run around from them too. (Costco has been great btw!)
Here is there support routine. "So sorry to hear about that. I will be happy to help you.", etc. etc. Etc.
I will have somebody call you in 1 hour." I ask for what? You have all my info. Transfer to Supervisor.
"I'll get this taken care of", etc. etc. "Somebody will be calling you in 1 hour. " You will never receive that call.
"I need to call Canada for the replacement." They are closed. It's early afternoon.
My support ticket number with Lorex is: *******.
Case number with Costco: *******. I will be contacting Costco's upper management; writing a letter with these issues
To corporate. Hopefully Costco will drop Lorex like a hot potato and Lorex will go out of business.
BTW: I purchased 4 more cameras to make it a full 16 for about $70 per camera; including cables.
How much could it possible cost Lorex for 1 camera?

I've just bought Lorex wireless cameras system recently, the system went down after a few weeks, and all I could see is blank no video cameras. I called them several times, more than 5 times to get help, but worthless, they kept promise to replace me a monitor as the warranty policy and let me have the tracking number within 2 days, but it's never happened, then I wanted to get my refund they just ignored it. My cameras system now is death because no monitor to control. What can I do now? With Lorex system that I paid close to $600. Waiting for the trash can, wasted time and money. So, please do yourself a favor looks for different brands but not Lorex.
UPDATE: After I posted this review I was contacted by a very helpful representative from FLIR, the parent company of Lorex. Jenny was very helpful and has resolved our cable issue. While Jenny was awesome, it really shouldn't have taken a negative post on Sitejabber for Lorex to take it's customer service seriously.
We have had Lorex outdoor surveillance cameras for about a year. During a recent rain storm, a cable on one of the cameras was damaged by water (why an outdoor product can't withstand rain is a mystery). My husband tried to contact Lorex to find out where to get a replacement cable but was either put on hold for ages or never got a requested call back. The one time he finally got thru, he was rudely told to try eBay or Costco! Why sell something you won't support? We have to go to an auction site to try and find a part!?! Just as an fyi, Costco doesn't sell parts!
When my husband asked to speak with a manager he was put on hold and ignored. We've also tried emailing consumer support only to be told we reached the wrong department - no offer to redirect our message.
We are now left with a camera that is useless because we can't get a cable.
Cameras are decent for what you pay. I have bought from them for my studio to be monitored, I have no complaints. You get a good product for the price.

I have tried cheaper video camera security systems but they have not worked out very well. I did end up buying a lorex system with a built in monitor and system and have been much happier with the video quality and night vision. I would only go with this level of security camera and not the cheap ones.
Answer: DO NOT call Lorex Customer Support. You will only be shocked by the absolutely horrible support that you get.
