I purchased an 8 HD 4K camera system and installed 7 cameras. Spent a LOT of $$$ on the system and 3d party install. As soon as the system went live, only 3 out of 7 cameras worked. The problem was the cable, Cat5 of poor quality. I reached out to Lorex immediately and asked for a better quality cable. I was very clear that I did not want the SAME cable to be sent to me. Lorex listened and agreed to send Cat6 within 7-10 business days. Nothing arrived in mail. Called back on day #10 to find out that Lorex changed their mind! The best they could do was to send the SAME POOR QUALITY cable, which I specifically asked not to send. I wasted my time. I REGRET buying this system and spending HOURS of my time on the phone trying to remedy the situation. STAY AWAY from Lorex and spend your money elsewhere.
I purchased a system with an extended warranty less than a year ago and returned a bad camera on an RMA. I could track the shipment as received. Now no-one will answer. Where is my replacement or original camera?
I ordered a system from their website that they never shipped. I tried contacting them via phone and e-mail, but all I ever got was the run-around. Terrible customer service, and obviously there is no inter-departmental communication taking place. I don't know how a company this poorly run manages to stay in business. I was practically throwing business their way and apathy was all I got in return.
Never ever ever buy any products from lorex. They are cheat. Low level resolution cameras, they sell as HD cameras. No returns, no customer service. Very poor quality built, like plastic toys, Shame on these cheaters
The only reason I gave them one star is because I couldn't do a zero. We have purchased two complete systems in the last two years because the dvr's quit working. The second one, we bought directly from Lorex and were told it came with a 2 year warranty. Ha. Called Lorex and they said that they would send a label to send the dvr back to them, they didn't. We had to call a second time and jump through all of their hoops to finally get a label sent. We sent the unit back and surprise, surprise they are denying the warranty. No reason, just denied on the account info. The warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. The company is completely unresponsive. You are better flushing you money down the toilet. If you do buy this system, buy it at Costco, at least they will take it back when it stops working. However, by then you have already invested the time and money putting the cameras up and running all the wires. My best advise is to stay as far away from this company's products as possible.
So sorry i threw away the amount of money i did. System did not work a whole month, tech support took 6 days to get back to me, only to find that i need to send them a second copy of the receipt to prove i purchased it. Since i've discarded it, i'm totally screwed. They claim the do not have the original, yet when i send it along with registration, funny they got the registration, but not the receipt. How convenient for them. I should have read the endless bad reviews prior to purchasing.
Yup! Support is useless especially owning a Mac computer! Spent all day trying to connect with customer service to no avail! Going to return this piece of crap tomorrow! I'm also going to warn all Costco customers of this... I have my ways!
The system works but I need to be able to access it through the FLIR Cloud on my home Mac. I have called and spent countless hours and it still doesn't work. The last call the tech changed my router password to password! You have to be kidding me! They make things worse than before you make the call. Now I have to dig through everything to get a secure password assigned to my router... AGAIN! And on top of it all I STILL can't access the system through my Mac. I regret ever buying this system because FLIR/Lorex is a mess to deal with. I cannot recommend buying this system solely based on the poor customer assistance in their support call center based in India.
Nothing good to say about this group of liars. Stay away there are many other firms you can deal with. NO warranty in reality, it is not honored. Employees are rude and will leave you on hold forever. Do not let them have remote access to your computer you will regret it. Canada is only a front for this company which is actually in the third world.
Purchased an eight camera Dvr system. Like many others, Dvr on arrival did not work. Wondered why new one had gouges & scratches all over it. No problem, we'll send a replacement, #2. Well, same thing again would not work. O. K. Here comes my third Dvr. Take it out and surprise surprise, it does not work. By now I've spent hours on the phone with technical support, which you can barely understand their English. I tell them I had enough, I want a refund. Oh no, we'll send you another one. UPS is damaging their products in transit. Then they said it was something wrong with my electrical outlet. Yeah right! Only if you will expedite it. No we can't do that. Supposedly, I will get a refund when they receive the last unit. It's a shame that Lorex has sunk to such low quality and standards.
I purchased this product at Costco - opened it and installed the entire 6 camera unit and the DVR wouldn't work - was on customer service for hours and they determined it was a faulty DVR and said they would ship me a replacement that I would receive in 5-7 days. Fast forward a MONTH and I'M STILL WAITING FOR IT. Every time I call to get an update they say it is being shipped but they can't give me a delivery number yet that UPS will generate one shortly - THIS HAS HAPPENED FOR A MONTH - Still nothing - called to get a "supervisor" who said the same thing and then just sent me to eternal hold. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I'm stunned that Costco carries this brand - they typically have great products. Will be contacting them also.
What a pile of crap. Buy anything other than a Lorex product. Cameras drop out, passwords not recognised and trying to get help is all but impossible.
Ordered my cameras 20 days ago. Called customer service but they couldn't even give me a tracking # and the guy told me his system "was $#*!" and he couldn't give me anymore information! I've called 4 times wondering where the order went. Still haven't gotten delivered and I still don't have a tracking #! I will never order from this company again! I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from this company!
Watch out when you buy a system. The cameras and NVR are great. I purchased a 6 camera PoE 4k system with NVR. I purchased the 3 year extended warranty. You get 1 channel "free" cloud 2 days storage. If you want more, of coarse you can pay for it to the tune of $7 per channel PER MONTH. So thats $420 PER YEAR! I spent around $1000 for system and warranty and then they want $420 per year for cloud storage? Again, I am very happy with the cameras but that it stupid. They have no option for less than 30 days worth of storage either. I would pass on this system
Purchased wire free 6 camera system was not satisfied batteries die quickly started a return in January still haven't received my refund customer service is horrible and there are no help at all called them several times
Use PAYPAL with these guys, i would have never got a refund if it wasn't for PAYPAL. Lorex is a disgrace.
When you press "add to cart" check your total, the system added $200 for no reason, called Lorex several times and emails, no answer for over a month.
After finally a month the idiot on the phone says "let me give you a case number". Today is 32 days and Paypal gave me a refund and Lorex still has no called me back
The worst place to purchased camera system is LOREX they do not know what the definition of a good business. 1st is to help customer they dont know how to help customer. There customer service is extremely terrible
Customer service they think you need them they dont want you they but you on hold for long time
So you can fed-up please do not buy any LOREX product
By the way if they ship it out wrong address it is your problem (fault) they need your money

They have not returned my money it is almost 1000 dollars. I am very discontent with Lorex altogether. They do not know what the definition of a good business is. They lack the capacity to exhibit good customer service, they will have you on hold for a long amount of time. Then the customer service representative will put you on hold to "fix" the issue at the end of the call they only make empty promises that they make you feel as if they intentionally will not keep. To what extent do we stop calling this corporation a company and start calling them for what they really are SCAMMERS. They will steal your money and give you several different excuses to why it is supposedly delayed. If they were so quick to remove the money from my bank account, why can they be quick about putting it back. There are various reviews of other people stating ever so clearly in their reviews that Lorex has not returned their money at all or they did not receive it for a couple of months. In my situation, I ordered on Thanksgiving Day and was promised my order would be received on the 1st of December. This was a lie, I kept being told several times by different customer representatives that it would come over several different dates, I have chat transcripts that would support what I am saying. Ultimately the date in which it would arrive was changed about five times until I was fed up and contacted them once again complaining. The customer representative said that Lorex would compensate me by sending my purchased items sooner than the already 4-week delay that they had. The items did come, they were able to do that. But to my dismay the items were not the ones I had ordered. When I called them, they told me the items were sent incorrectly because they no longer had them in stock and a message should have been sent to me indicating that. Once again, they were telling me excuses that had nothing to do with anything that was in my control. They kept messing up time after time. I then told them I wanted to return the items they gave me a bit of grief for that but then was promised I would receive my refund 5-10 business days after they have received it at their warehouse. It has been over two weeks going on three and have not received my refund. This is at the point that I will be posting this review in every site related to Lorex technology. If there is anyone else who has had issues like this with Lorex contact Telemundo Answer also known as Telemundo Responde. They will help with cases such as this.

I chatted with someone on Tuesday morning, 9:30 am, and was assured that someone would call me back.In fact this person even gave me a ticket # and an e-mail.
In the e-mail there was was this: "I write to you this email confirmation in order to give you the Ticket # 66xxxx and to remind you that you will be contacted on the next 24 to 48 hours."Well it is now Friday and I have not heard back. I contacted Lorex again today and they saw the ticket and told me that they will send the ticket to tech support. They kept explaining the dynamic on purchasing the deals.My issue is customer service and how I am being treated and they state they only have a few units.
No one seems to understand and can place the order. All they do is argue with me and tell me how the black Friday deals work. I was told that a manager would be calling me back within an hour.
You can probably guess. No phone call.
My biggest issue with Lorex is customer service, or the lack of. No one wants to listen and talks about something else and not the real issues.
They advertise a "Site Crasher Deal" and you wait for the countdown and you are unable to purchase the item. This happened to me for all three of their deals.
I was logged in, waited for the countdown to reach "0" (zero) and immediately purchased, within 2 seconds I was in the final stage of check out and it would not let me order it. There was only one item in the cart.
I then tried this in a different browser and the same issue. I called support again to find out what is going on, at first they told me their site is having issues and when I asked what they can do they state that they are sold out and there is nothing I can do. Customer support was the worst ever. The could not do a thing, not even transfer me to a manger. They took my name and number and said that the manager would call me back as soon as he got of the phone. The rep would not give me his name and when I asked for a time, all he said is that he is on the phone with another customer and it would not be long. That was over two hours ago. No call back at all.
I figured I should take advantage of the "Black Friday" deals they had with the additional 25%.
I was going to purchase a 4K sercurity system and when I added that to the and the code did not work. Also I now have 26 (yes twenty six) of the "Site Crasher Deal" in my cart and I cannot remove them. This time it does show "out of stock". The strange thing is that I originally ordered one and it allowed me all the way to the last step of check out, now 26? What is going on here?
Another wasted call to Lorex. All they can state is that they are out of stock. They stated again that their website is having problems and there was nothing they can do. If I wanted the deal for the camera system I was trying to order, I would need to order it on-line.
Please keep in mind that the order is still in my cart, I tried two different browsers, cleared the cache, tried two other computers and my phone. The 26 is still there and I cannot remove it from my cart.
All in all I feel that Lorex does not want to support their customers and when I call in, they do not listen to what I am saying and cannot help at all and give me unrelated answers. Why are they answering the phones?
I am expecting two calls from management / supervisors that will never happen.
They screw you when you go to pay for item. They give you fake prices to add to cart and when you go to enter your payment information the site resets, kicks you off and when you go back to continue entering your information, the deal is gone. Because that's how they plan it. Lure you in to think you are getting a deal, but they have the power of the site to crash and then you get no deal..
Answer: DO NOT call Lorex Customer Support. You will only be shocked by the absolutely horrible support that you get.
