I initially used Live Career sometime ago, then cancelled, however, recently I needed this service again, I can't tell you enough how important it is to have a "stand-out" resume! Used LiveCareer off and on for the last 5 years. Never had problems getting charged beyond what I signed up for. (I just made sure to call and cancel a couple of days before the month was up.)
Main problem - the "experience" section of the resume would often, inexplicably, rearrange the order of my work experience, making it almost impossible to list my job history in chronological order. So beware of this flaw.

I created an account to make a resume without any information that I would ever be charged if I did the free trial. Without my permission, my account updated to premium and charged me over $400. This was never mentioned in the terms of agreement (which, yes, I read). A FREE TRIAL account should remain FREE until cancelled, which I did. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE. IT'S A SCAM

This company is ridiculous, a recurring charge of $39.80 to my credit card for 5 months. Contact their customer service, would only refund the latest charge.
The worst part is I did not even receive cover letter, resume from their company, this is a FRAUD, Stay away, do not sign on their website.

They are deceptive in there billing practices! When I realized I was being charged( 5 months) $39 a month for a one time use I called to complain and they were unwilling to remove any charges.

Horrible! At first they charged me only $1.95 to my account then later charged me $35.80. When I called to cancel my account and dispute the charge I was put on hold for almost 20 minutes. And still after that the charge or account didn't go away.

LiveCareer really helped me successfully update my resume and cover letter with suggestive details and insightful examples. The templates were plentiful and awesome. My resume and cover letter turned out great, looked even more professional... and I was able to get 3 job interviews because of it! Only issue I had was trying to get a membership online; I tried several times and my membership did not activate on-line. Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).

Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
