Theives!
November 13, 2015

Just as everyone else, I purchased one copy of my resume for around $1 for an economics project. And they charged me $40 without sending me ANY emails whatsoever about the charge. A bunch of worthless leaves charging for a mediocre service that can easily be recreated.

BEWARE!
November 13, 2015

Their resume service was advertised as 1.95. Only after I paid I realized I had subscribed to their service. They do inform you on your receipt after you pay, only it's hidden under a bunch of mumbo jumbo and very easy to miss. I noticed later that my card had been charged $39 not to mention a foreign transaction fee. I cancelled subscription online and called for a refund but was on hold for half an hour. I will call again later and update my review.

Scam
November 12, 2015

I found this website and created a resume using there site. I remember there was a 14 day trial then it would only be a few dollars a month. Wow was I ever wrong I have been charged 39.20 for the last three months. I was never sent an email stating I would be billed this much. It never went to my spam folder but that suggestion is very shady to avoid any contact so they can keep chatting my credit card. I am expecting to have a refund and have also contacted the better business bureau about this company because they are very predatory and should be ashamed of their business practices! Don't ever use this company ever!

I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our service. We explain that the subscription is auto-renewing. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14 day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.

Cancellation stops the auto-renewal. Once it’s cancelled, we send a cancellation confirmation email for your records. There are times that auto emails can get picked up as spam or junk mail. Be sure to check your spam/junk mail folder.

Basically, I paid a few dollars for a resume and they charged me close to $40, which over drew the account I used and cost me even more money. Really? I do appreciate the accessibility of the customer service, but I am still waiting on that refund that hasn't come yet.

Worst Customer Service
November 7, 2015

This service is a scam. We went online to cancel the service during the 14 day trial period and realized that we were charged anyway. Never been received a bill! Then called customer service after disputing with the credit card company and was placed on hold for 15 mins before the call disconnected? I have tried the chat feature and it would never connect and have now resorted to sending an email, which given my other experiences am not confident I will get a call back! Do not use this service!

DO NOT USE THEM
October 29, 2015

I used it once to make a quick cover letter for my mom and it was $1.30 for 14 day access. I did not know I had subscribed and needed to cancel... 20 days later I was charged $39.80 and so I called them and had them cancel my subscription. I better not get anymore charges... honeslty I might cancel this card because they are very suspect and the cancellation confirmation they sent I NEVER received.

Don't even sign up.
October 27, 2015

Used this site to create a resume and didn't realize the subscription kept going till cancelled. I ended my account as soon as I was billed $35. Went through the entire site to figure out how to unsubscribe. Even though I ended my account I was still billed for 2 more months because I did not send in a "cancellation request." Even though I deleted my account and had no access to their documents I was still billed. Very sketchy site, funny how they don't send an email verification before your subscription is up after the 14 day period.

Hi Amanda S.,

I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our service. Deleting an account means you will not be able to access any of your resumes, cover letters, or emails. A scam
October 26, 2015

I signed up to create one cover letter last February. I thought the service was free, or at most a few dollars... to make ONE cover letter. I just today realized that this site has taken $40 from me each month for the past 11 months... (I have a lot of payments coming in and out of this account all the time so it was easy to miss). $440 later and I had NO idea that I had signed up for a monthly service, I never would have agreed to pay $40 per month for a service that I needed only one time. Total scam, do not use this website unless you want to lose some of your hard-earned cash like I did. I also did not receive any receipts or email reminders (maybe they went straight to junk mail?) or anything like that. I had one email from when I first signed up, telling me about my "free" account.

All the reviews were accurate and dead on. In my case, I received confirmation for canceling but was still charged numerous times afterward. Dealing with the customer service is no fun...
Now they want me to resend the cancellation email they sent me back in June claiming they will have to 'escalate' to get the department that does auto confirmations to verify because customer service has no idea when mails are sent.

SCAM ALERT!
October 21, 2015

I'm appalled that this company could be so unethical in stealing from me. I have messaged them several times to cancel payments. Cancelled my membership and an still getting money stolen out of my account. It's cost me hundreds. I signed up for a couple of dollars. They then took my information and started helping themselves to my account. I have little mouths to feed. Have now called up my bank to dispute it. And am inconveniently getting a new card to put a stop to this once and for all. Disgusted.

Paid 1.95 to print out my resume, did not sign up for a subscription. 5 months later notice they have taken over 200 dollars in recurring charges. Company is based out of San Francisco and preys on its bait and switch tactics. I feel robbed and angry. To their customer service, please don't comment on this review with your fake sincerity regarding your practices, if you cared their would not be nearly 600 one star reviews regarding your site. The CEO of this company is James Freundlich from New York, he has made millions from us suckers. This company actually has a manual for dealing with customers who feel they have been scammed. Do a search, you will find it.

Sneaky Scam! Beware!
October 17, 2015

I just recently discovered that I was being charged for something I did not agree to since April 2015. Along with many other customers you've been able to scam, I, too, wanted the $1 trial with no obligation. Instead I find that it has cost me over $200 to try this $1 service. And yes you may have emailed me the $1 charge confirmation, but not the $39.80 you were actually going to charge. Very Sneaky! I would like to have all my money back. You can check your files to see that I have not used any of your services since the initial trial. Over 500 bad reviews with the same scenario? Not a good business at all, well, good at scamming. Not a reputable business is what I mean.

Jokes on you
October 16, 2015

Luckily I caught these thiefs when they charged me today for 39.80$ I was in a rush to fill out an application for Frito Lay so I bought there 1$ resume about a month ago. Being confused by there words I thought I could trust the site but apparently I was wrong all I wanted was there 1$ deal and be done with them but they charge you without consent. This resulted in me calling my bank. They ripped my card and i will be refunded the money. Your site will soon be seen by prosecutors and the site will be down for fraud soon enough. Dont deal with these $#*!s just head straight to your bank and youll win against them!

Cancel my Subscription
October 16, 2015

I signed up and when I was done using the service I contacted them to cancel my subscription. I keep getting notices that a ticket has been opened in my name and then I hear nothing. None of my emails have been answered. I have been charged for 3 months after I first asked to cancel. I'm getting tired of this. Sent another email again because as usual there are no people available to talk to which is the same thing I get every time I try to contact them.

I needed a resume quickly so I agreed to pay the $1.95 on my boyfriends credit card (with his permission). It's been 2 months and he is currently being charged $55 a month due to my lack of knowledge that this is a scam and I did not agree to pay for this monthly. I am currently trying to cancel my account. I have emailed many times but have yet to get a response. Now when I try to deactivate it myself, it tells me "You currently have an expiring subscription" and it will not let me deactivate. I plan to call and make it very clear that I will no longer pay for this terrible scam. If anyone can offer me advice in this area then I will gladly accept it.

Hi Alyson P.,

I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our site and did not receive any response yet via email.

We explain that the subscription is auto-renewing. We state this on every page in the purchase process and we send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.

Deactivating an account means you will not be able to access any of your resumes, cover letters, or emails. This action cannot be undone. However, cancellation stops the auto-renewal.
