Litfad is a complete scam

In May, May partner Matt bought a salon chair from Litfad. The chair still had not arrived after 30 days. They supposedly sent out another after he complained via email. When nothing showed up again, he complained. The chair finally appeared last night, 9.6.24. When we saw the box and the state it was in, we became worried. Our worst fears were realized when we opened it. The chair had sustained serious damage. Furthermore, it is unlikely that UPS damaged it. The box contained no safety packaging at all. After my partner Matt took pictures and emailed them, he received a response today. He was given a 2% discount because they denied that they caused the damage and insisted that it was clearly done by him. You could see that it was delivered in this manner if I could upload the pictures.

It is incomprehensible that businesses—even those based in China—are allowed to advertise in North America when they have a history of defrauding people in this way. What should happen is a complete refund.

Everything you order is placed directly to Taobao. If you want to save money, simply get you Google Translate and buy your product there for a quarter of the price.

Not happy! Terrible service! They steal your money!

My order took 86 days to arrive, when it did arrive, it arrived damaged and unusable. They keep offering you money off to keep the damaged item, but what is the point of a bent bar shelf that can't hold bottles! You go round in circles with them asking you to accept a discount to keep it, even though their own warranty terms say you are entitled to a full refund.

I will now find all review sites to make this same review until I receive my refund!

STAY AWAY!

Ordered a chest of drawers. The package came with many pieces broken and with a completely different chest of drawers than what was advertised.

Have been emailing the company back and forth for over a week now sending them all the photos of what I have received. They are refusing to provide a return label and issue a refund. Instead, they are offering a 5% discount. Stay away!

Potential Broad-Based Consumer Fraud

Litfad is engaged in a scheme of falsely advertising goods, delivering inferior goods, and offering immaterial discounts in lieu of refunds. We ordered goods, Litfad admitted that we didn't have the goods they advertised on their website and they refused to refund our $199.10.

SCAMMERS! Do Not buy from them!

This company is absolutely disgusting and deceitful. I ordered 8 dinning chairs which arrived 10 weeks later! They were completely different from the advertised chairs on their website. Further to this it was damaged, torn and was cheaply made. They charge premium price for very cheap quality product. I wish I could add the pictures to show you how bad it is. Since then many exchanges of emails requesting a refund. All they have done is offering little compensation and not taking any responsibility. Please DO NOT BUY from them and save your money. I've lost £835!. I have given this company many chances to do the right thing and refund me my money but they choose to be deceitful and greedy.They have very bad business ethics and are a complete disgrace. I'm going to report them to trading standards and will contact my bank to get my money back. I've attached picture of the actual chair on their website versus what I actually received!

I purchased a bookcase from them on June 24, when the package finally arrived it was damaged because it was not securely packaged in fact it looked like somebody had found some cardboard and foam and put it together in their garage. Apart from that there were many other issues too long to list here but one important item were the shelves, one was smaller than the other six. I have been trying to get a replacement and as of today and after a chain of emails I have not been successful. I would not touch this company with a barge pole.l

Litfad is a corrupt scamming operation: BEWARE!
On May 25th I ordered what Litfad calls their "Industrial Design Open Back Dining Side Chair" for just under three hundred dollars, plus about sixty dollars shipping. This is a substantial price for a side chair, but the website shows twelve detailed photos of an extraordinarily handsome and sophisticated "ash wood and leather" chair. I am a furniture designer and can see the difficulty of manufacturing this particular design.
When I received the chair, poorly packaged but luckily undamaged, it was immediately obvious that this was an entirely different chair: stained rubberwood and vinyl, simple in design – the sort of chair that I could pick up at Rooms to Go for $129.
When I informed Litfad that they sent me the wrong chair they tried to insist that they had, indeed, sent me the chair advertised. Then they said it was the same chair, but modified in manufacture. As I persisted in protesting this scam for the next six weeks (38 messages in all) their story changed from day to day. After a while they offered me a ten per cent refund, then were willing for me to return the chair, then not… Ultimately, they refused to send me the promised return shipping information, and I had no choice but to accept their final refund offer: forty per cent.
Happy ending? Hardly. I still paid over twice what it's worth for a cheap, ordinary chair I do not want, after going through nearly two months of misery in trying to get them to do the right thing. The clincher: they still have the same photos of the beautiful sophisticated chair on their site, available for $299.92. They have never had that chair, and the scam continues.

UPDATE ON ORDER #******* from Litfad

Spent £1503 on 2 sideboards from litfad. Took 3 months to arrive. Only one arrived and other was in bits, cardboard box held together by string. I did not accept the delivery as was clearly damaged.

I have read all the reviews, on here and reddit, which claim litfad send out cheap products, that take months to arrive, then refuse to give refunds, or offer 10% refunds etc. this is clearly their business model, to send out cheap items and make profit by refusing to give refunds. They also blackmail you to remove reviews on trustpilot, claiming to increase the amount offered in refund if you remove the review.

I have straight away involved the fraud department of my bank, who are investigating the case for me and hopefully to attempt to stop this company trading in the UK.

So far, they have claimed that I have received my package, when I dod not accept it, and have said they can only consider any form of refund if I send them 6 photos of box and 6 photos of the item... that I dont have.

I will continue to update the trust pilot readers on my dealings with the company and the banks investigation into them.

Safe to say... DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY, IT IS A TOTAL FRAUDULENT SCAM.

If they do refund me in full, I will let you know on here... but dont hold your breath..

I ordered a GENUINE leather chair for £350. Just before I went to bed the deal seemed to be too good to believe so I read the reviews on all the usual platforms like this one. Every review was shocking. Thank God I had used PayPal spread over three months. I rang PayPal and told them my story and a very confident lady told me to stop worrying because she would get my money back Less than two hours later I got two emails. A very polite professional email from PayPal saying they got a full refund and a very rude email from Litfad saying MONEY PAID BACK
Thanks to everyone who warned me this was scam firm. In future I won't buy anything without checking out the company first

PLEASE for your own sake KEEP AWAY from these crooks. THEY ARE NOT A COMPANY that can be trusted to provide you with goods or any of the common trading standards we are used to in Europe. In my experience they are crooks who will blatantly lie, deceive and shamelessly and gladly keep your money. Unfortunately they are above UK trading standards laws so YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR MONEY. I can honestly say that this company was the most traumatising online interaction I have ever been through. I paid £180 for a Bookcase in May this year. In August I made a complaint because it had not been delivered. Their answer was to ask me to be patient and wait more. When I asked my bank to request the refund they then delivered some ramdon pile of damaged MDF in a wet and rotten cardboard box. They claim that they will issue a refund when I send their pile of JUNK BACK TO CHINA. It is sad that governments are so desperate for revenue that they will allow these kind of people to operate in the market. DO NOT FALL FOR THEM!

I ordered a ceiling light from Litfad that was defective for $210 (+ $50 in shipping) on May 29th. I went back and forth with them about the defective item they sent me for over a month. Throughout this month of email exchanges they ignored me clearly indicating how the product they sent me did no match what I ordered from their site. They said if I was unhappy with it I could pay to ship the item back. Note, returning the product will cost you nearly $200 because they stick you with shipping it back to CHINA! Save yourself the headache, hassle and wasted money. In the end I was over the pointless email exchanges and accepted 45% refund just to throw away the fixture, which means I spend $160 just to throw away this piece of trash.

I recommend you use ANY other company than this one. Wayfair's products are very similar, they have much more reasonable return policies and their customer service is great.

This company is a scam upon scams they lie through their teeth anytime I order from a company I always ask their return policy on damaged broken or wrong items of course they say yes we are here to make the customer happy if it's wrong or damage we will replace it or give you a refund I get an item 1st item not what I ordered the colors of the chandelier then they sent me another light by the way I had to wait three months for the light aren't they smart you know why they do that so you can't file a dispute with your bank your bank only gives you 90 days because guess what the second life came in three weeks so how come the first light took so long to come in they're so strategic so always if you are to order from them use your credit card only because they are a scam And I'm sure people got awesome product but I'm sure it's in between

So now I get the first light that's wrong colored the second light they sent me completely different light the first light was LED integrated for the crystals like shown on their website that I ordered but it was just different color the second they sent me it had a G9 pin in it that's not what is advertised not to mention the glass was Scratched they did not care wheeling and dealing trying to not lose their money first they were like oh we could give you 10% off why do I want 10% off first the light is not as described second it is scratched what do you want me to do with the SCRATCH light well there might be some imperfections in the crystal some imperfections is one thing but when it's scratched tremendously on the front of the diamond glass cold stone scratches like the wolverine did it and I'm so angry because I always ask what is your policy for return so forth and they always answer the same thing to not buy from them it is not worth a headache all they're gonna do is lie to you and they ask people to take down their reviews on the websites

Does not honor return policy on store

Their return process says to click a "return item" button in order to initiate a return. This button does not exist. They do not want to actually accept returns. When you email customer service, they will tell you that "they don't accept returns if the item is correct and undamaged" which would be totally understandable if their return policy didn't say they accept returns within 60 days even for undamaged items. After emailing back and forth with support, they refused to honor their own return policy and tried to offer me 5 and then 10% back. When I asked them where in their policy it said they wouldn't provide return service (vs. The part of the return policy where it clearly says THEY DO) they stopped replying entirely.

SCAM - DO NOT BUY
You will end up paying to ship back faulty items all the way to CHINA where it will cost you more postage then the item itself!
BE WARNED - Been burnt and passing on advise
It may seem cheap but it is really bad quality and you will be disappointed! - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
All they do is reply "the customer service will get back to you" they do by just saying KEEP FAULTY ITEM and will give you discount (NO USE TO KEEP SMASHED UP ITEM) and they tell you they happy to give refund only if you send it back ( which normally cost more then the item itself sas you have to send it back to CHINA!) AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I ordered a plant stand - took over 31 days to get via back and forth emails they said ships from CHINA. Received the UGLY plant stand. It was NOT what I ordered - had marks all over it from the crappy packaging they did. Disputed with my bank for full refund. I sent all photos in. You can see what they advertise is not what you get. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE SCAMMERS!

After wait for 30 days to receive my order, they deliver defective and very poor quality merchandise, I contacted them to complain as soon as I opened the box and this company refuses to accept returns, they offer a 5% discount to keep the broken and defective merchandise, DO NOT BUY OR YOU LOSE YOUR MONEY!
