Litfad.com is a scam

I have ordered lamp from this company and received a bunch of parts i) which looked like something from the rubbish bin; ii) had exposed electric wires; iii) power cable without connector.

Upon contacting the support service I was suggested to hire electrician!

This is clearly a scam and it will be reported to authorities.

Below is just one of the responses from Litfad (36 emails and counting) essentially stating that I MUST remove my negative review and post a positive one if I want a refund for our faulty light. Total dodgy company and I have reported them to trading standards (UK). Avoid this company at all costs.

Once you remove your negative review or leave a new positive review, we will apply the refund for you within today.

And we can process your refund within 24 hours.

We need your cooperation so that we can solve the issue for you asap.

When i placed the order, I was told that I would receive within 4 to 6 weeks. However, it has been two months, and I have not received it. After contacting customer support, which provided to be very inefficient, they refused to take responsibility and casually mentioned that the delivery would now be extended to 4 months.

I had ordered a bunk bed from Litfad. The bed has extremely poor quality wood and it came with chips, cracks, unpolished and sharp edges and poor black-white instructions materials. The surfaces and corners are not polished. It has sharp needles like chips and it is not painted or varnished.
How do they sell such poor quality materials while saying that these are Scandinavian bunk bed?
This is frustrating and it cost me USD$688.79. This is pure cheap Chinese materials, not Scandinavian quality at all. See the images for what they showed on website and what they sent.

Small home office desk

Poor quality; poor service for questions; arrived damaged with a promise from company to replace damaged part but it never arrived; bad instructions; extra part with no explanation of what to do with it.
I made the mistake that others made and would never order from them again.

We googled floating vanities (modern). A few sites came up. We were looking for something nice but different. Litfad have some nice items. We knew they were not located in the US. No problem. We found something we liked. Before ordering, we communicated back and forth with an online support team. They assured us that we were getting what was described in the picture. Two months later it was not correct. We were supposed to receive a lighted medicine cabinet (rectangular design). We received a a round mirror with strip lighting on the back. No medicine cabinet. We had to again email support. We even went as far as to type it in English on word doc and convert it in their language explaining their product and copied and pasted exactly what they said we are to receive. Well to make a long story short we received a rectangular mirror with the strip lighting on the back. No medicine cabinet and no lighting on the front as the design stated. Never again will we order from them. A waste of our time and money. We told them they can send us prepaid shipping to get the items back. The only thing we liked was the floating sink. We reported them to PayPal to at least get a partial refund and it turned out to be a nightmare. All we could do is email back and forth and send pictures of what was sent. They will give you the run around. Whatever you don't order from Litfad! You will regret it!

Lifad is a complete scam
January 12, 2024

We ordered 30 lights for our new store from Litfad. At first only 6 showed up (we had tried to track the order from their website, but it stated the order was canceled). We notified Litfad and also let them know that they were not the lights we'd ordered and that we wanted to return them.
The advertisement for this product shows a very different and much larger light,
Litfad said they'd track them, and when they arrive we'd "Solve it together when it is collected."

When we received the other 24 lights we let them know and their response was this:
"We are very sorry that you are not satisfied with the item. However, if we send you the correct size and they do not have any quality problems, we would not provide the return service. Please understand."

We again told them they were the wrong lights and very different than the lights advertised.
They asked for pictures, which we sent, with the message "We have sent the pictures you were looking for that show clearly that it is the wrong product. Can we please get a shipping label to return these items now."
Litfad again responded with:
We are very sorry that you are not satisfied with the item.
However, if we send you the correct size and they do not have any quality problems, we would not provide the return service. Please understand.

This went back and forth over many emails with ultimately the same response from Litfad.

Note: Their Return policy clearly states that we can return the items.
Do not trust this company. I would never recommend anyone buy anything from Litfad.

Please do not buy from this company!

My daughter asked for a study desk for Christmas from Santa.
I ordered a desk from Litfad.
It took 6 weeks for delivery as it was coming from China!
It did arrive just before Christmas. I have never seen such poor quality!
It was so bad. Unfortunately it was too late to get another desk from elsewhere for Christmas. We built it and left it sitting out on Christmas morning from Santa. 2 days after Christmas I threw it on the bin and ordered a desk from our local furniture shop.
A big disappointment for our 9 year old daughter.
' santa' left her a desk that really was not fit for purpose!
The wood was about 1 cm thick. If she were to put any weight on it. The desk definitely would have broken in the middle. The desk cost me £200. A complete rip off and the worst quality I have ever seen.

DO NOT USE - I placed an order for "White Brick Wallpaper" on 27th of November and received this on the 14th of December. Upon initial inspection it seemed fine. (they give you 48 hours from the time you receive the delivery to inspect it for any faults/damage etc.) Once my decorators started to unravel the wallpaper to apply to the wall. The first thing they noticed was that there was no information sheet or instructions on what kind of wallpaper this was (i.e. A 'paste the wall' or 'paste the paper'). We checked the website and there wasn't any information on that either. This is a big problem of course. The WORST problem however was what the wallpaper looked in most lighting conditions. All the bricks had a yellow stain/tinge to it. Like a urine stain (not exaggerating). I sent them plenty of pictures and you can clearly see the colour disparity between the yellow Brick (which is supposed to be white as advertised) and the white background it sits on. It's night and days apart. I've been trying to arrange a refund since 6th of January and I'm getting the same response/email which clearly is a copy and paste and has nothing do with my specific problem... see below to understand what I mean. They start talking about scratches:

"Dear jai.sehmi,

Really sorry for the dissatisfaction.
If the small scratches would not affect the usage, we can refund 5% of the item price to you for compensation.

Will you consider to keep this item?

This kind of scratches are the objective phenomenon of the manufacture method in this kind of product and material. Usually it will be controlled within a reasonable range. Please understand that."

Like what are they talking! DON'T BUY from this place. I spent £180 on 4 rolls of wallpaper, and I can't arrange a return with them.

I just had a horrible experience with Litfad. I ordered a medium blue chair and it came a very dark gray. The color was COMPLETELY misrepresented on the site. When I contacted customer service, they blamed ME and my online screen, when I looked on three screens and they all read blue. They made me send countless photos into them of the product acting as through they were helping me return it, to just tell me the best they could do is give me a 10% refund! Now I am stuck with a chair I hate. Never again.

I bought a desk and chair back on January 9,2023. I received a completely damaged (crushed and cracked) desk (top and side table) about 2 months later. I was angry and disappointed. After much haggling and trying to get my money back with their customer service department, I caved, and they sent me a replacement. This took another two months. Upon inspection, the desktop was fine, but the side cabinet was again, crushed about 2 inches deep in 1 corner and cracked along another corner that extended to the other side of the cabinet. I asked for a refund - they offered me 2 options. First option: keep the damaged goods and they would refund me 15% of my total purchase price or they would send me a third replacement with a 5% refund for my inconvenience. WTH?!? I can't keep the cabinet because it is damaged garbage - it can't be used - Not to mention the wasted time and aggravation I have been through. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and they said if I didn't hear back from one of their "colleagues" in 2 days, I should email them again. This is THE WORST customer service I have ever encountered and I would NEVER recommend them or do business with them again. It is of no surprise that this company has poor ratings. It is now 1 FULL YEAR since I have been trying to get my money back - Does anyone have a contact for escalations?

The shelves i received were damaged and just pressed wood w pealing laminate. It took 3+months to receive them. They arrived w no instructions so u cant tell if anythg is missing. The quality was poor, and shelves were stained w some kind of red smear and when i brought up the damage they only offered 5% off.

I ordered 6 Blue dining chairs on 3 September for $1,200. Tardy delivery date and product was the wrong color. I'd ordered Blue and received Green. I was then accused of being confused by my device definition which I could only prove by blatant side by side comparison. I opened the box but did not remove the product. They looked cheap, heavily photo shopped on their website and not worth the $1,200 AUD I'd spent. Only after proving I wasn't lying was I told on 6 October that a replacement would arrive in 4-5 weeks and to keep the green chairs. After 9 weeks I followed up and they hadn't even processed, these were needed for Christmas. I demanded a refund or express delivery in 2 weeks. They told me to cover the cost for returning the wrong product they'd delivered and best refund without me doing this would be $700. After over 3 MONTHS of reasoning, and exhausting email exchange I gave up. Worst customer service I've received, cheap air brushed product and just don't go near them!

I bought 4 wall light fixtures and went to install them and was shocked they are designed to attach to the drywall, not an electrical box, they are to small, which would never pass an electrical inspection. Cheap products, they wanted me to pay the shipping to return and get a refund. I filed a dispute with PayPal and PayPal sided with Litfad. Litfad offered me a 5% refund, then a 30% now its up to 40% if and only if I retract my negative reviews. This company should be avoided at all cost.

I ordered my daughter a desk online, product looked great. Took a while to come but once it was here the package was badly damaged in transit, the desk was nothing like what I ordered online, half the actual size, terrible terrible quality and damaged all over. Instructions were poor and in Chinese with missing components. Cheap Chinese crap! This has to be a scam company, how are they allowed to trade online, I wish I read the reviews first. Customer service is practically non existent. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. How they are still trading his beyond me, literally atrocious. One star is too many for this disgusting scam!

I purchased a pendant light and received 4 pots, nothing to do with lighting. They constantly try and offer money off the correct order and they say they can't send a refund. This company is a scam. I've had to involve PayPal to get my money back.

Utterly impressed!

I ordered my console table on 12/2 and then I read the reviews. I am so glad that I didn't have the chance to cancel because it came today 12/23 and it is absolutely perfect in every way. The only assembly was attaching the base to the marble top with the 4 screws that were included - it took less than 5 minutes. I would not hesitate to order from Litfab again - they are far less than their competitors and their merchandise is top quality.

Scam company

I ordered a bookcase from liftad over a month ago. When I received my order, I noticed there are scratches and damages on my order. I also noticed there are some glued parts that are loose now. I asked for a refund and they told me their base in China and I need to pay the return shipping fee and clearance fee.
All I can say is, this is their strategy to get money from the customers and if they are unhappy, then they will offer a 5-10% refund. This is certainly a scam.
