Lincare may literally be the worst company I've ever dealt with on billing and customer service. I spent almost a year trying to resolve billing errors between them and my insurance company. Even after two conference calls between all three of us the couldn't get it right. They finally informed my that there was a credit outstanding of almost $700.00 leaving my part at about $400.00 which was correct. I asked the agent if that would be reflected on my next statement to which she replied "yes it will." I received the statement and no credit! When I called back they showed no record of a credit at all. It totally disappeared. Numerous more calls resulted in nothing at all and no resolution. It seems they have a monopoly on home INR testing. The seem to be completely inept and clueless.

45 minutes on the phone listening to "Your call is important to us" and some of the most aggravating loud music. I'm sure that they do it on purpose so you hang up.

Received a bill last week for my mother's oxygen, she is a new customer of Lincare. I knew when I went to visit her at the nursing home the day I received the statement, she did not have oxygen. Called Lincare, they argued they delivered it. It was delivered to the wrong nursing home! When I called to discuss it with them I found why the have a one star rating, their customer service is pathetic. I will also be calling the insurance companies to let them know of services charged but not rendered.

Insurance Coverage
March 26, 2021

We have called multiple times and were sent from person to person to get our insurance coverage changed and to also have them confirm that the new insurance company will be honored by them. Went through this a few years ago also. Company is very eager though to send notes for refills of supplies. The worst, what are other options out there?

Worst service ever!
March 26, 2021

I started with a CPAP machine in May 2020 with Lin Care. Got my equipment in the Plattsburgh New York organization. I have had the worst customer service and phone service of any company I have ever worked for. I have had to call many many times to get supplies sent to me to figure out what they're billing me for as I never get an itemized bill and they call three months later and say you owe $280. I have my pulmonologist office involved thought they had it straightened out it has now been four months and I haven't received one shipment yet. I am beyond fed up with them.

Worst company ever!
March 23, 2021

This company has the WORST customer service. It took us OVER 6 weeks to get my mother-in-laws oxygen. They gave her a concentrator and a portable oxygen unit. The display on the portable unit went out. I called and left a message with the answering service on Sunday. NO call back Monday. On Tuesday I called them again. They will pick up the unit but it will be 2 weeks before we get it back. They told me to use a portable oxygen tank. Ok. Can they drop it off when they pick up the unit? No. They don't have them. I asked if she was suppose to just sit next to the concentrator for 2 weeks? AND THEY SAID YES! Thank God she doesn't have a doctors appointment until next month. This company is the absolute worst!

I have not read any other reviews, but I promised myself I would write one about Lincare, Delray Beach, Fl. My nightmare started when I had to turn in my CPAP because my insurance changed and I needed a new supplier. The medicare supplied Resmed CPAP comes in a male and female version. The reason for that, told to me by Resmed, is that the breathing settings for both male and female differ. This supplier does not provide the female version and actually argued with me about getting me the correct one. They did agree to get the right one. I had to persue them after a 1 week wait to find out if they received it. They hadn't opened their latest shipment and upon looking found out they had mine. I went there to facilitate getting it quickly, as I now had been without it for a week. When I asked about the needed mask the CPAP manager in the office said she had not ordered a mask. It was not in her notes! I reminded her of our lengthy conversation and that she thought she knew which mask I required. When she showed me masks, none were the right one. She said maybe you should go home and find out which mask it is. Of course that didn't seem equitable to me. You need a mask to use the machine. The manager came in, at this point I was frustrated, they were frustrated with me and he suggested I might be happier finding a different vendor. He was right. To have to deal with them for the next many years would not have made me happy. I felt they failed me on all fronts of doing their job and being professional. These are national companies and the individual stores may differ, so I am only rating this particular one for this particuar product. My advice is to give yourself plenty of time and go elsewhere.

Rude!
March 15, 2021

I took my mother to get her CPAP. My mother is 75 and walks with a cane and has breathing difficulties, When I arrived the door was locked but I could see someone sitting at the front desk. She never acknowledged us. So we're standing there looking confused while my mom is short of breath. Even though 3-4 minutes is not a long time for me it feels like a lifetime for someone who has breathing difficulties. So someone other than the young lady at the front desk finally opened the door with a warm welcome. The young lady at the Front Desk still didn't acknowledge us. I know we're not royalty but saying hello or telling us we will be there to assist you never hurts. If I would have had to rate my experience on that I would definitely give Lincare a negative star. I really didn't want to give Lincare my business until Rob came and saved the day for them. He was very informative and his knowledge on the equipment was awesome. He seemed to care and before we left he got a wheelchair for my mom and assisted us to the car. The young lady at the front door should not be the first person a customer has to see. She needs more training someone needs to tell her about manners.

The local people may seem nice but cooperate will place unauthorized charges to your banking information. I went in for just a CPAP mask and hose replacement@ $100.6 months later I was billed another $100 and it was taken directly from my credit card unauthorized. Run... check reviews... 10 stars in the RED! Good Luck, or just run! Save yourself the hassle.

CPAP Supply Errors
March 10, 2021

1st shipment this year (for 6 mo supply) was missing 5 nasal pillows. Contacted them - received only 1 of 5. Contacted them - received the remaining missing 4 nasal pillows, but Lincare sent P&K Eson 2 (never ordered, ever) vs P&K Bravia (which has been my order for years). Contacted Lincare and was told because I had opened one pillow pkg, never considering they would get this wrong again, that Lincare would not replace that one. Finally I requested that they send post paid paperwork/label - you guessed it — no. Leaving me with the final insult of paying for return shipping for their mistake. Incredulous! After contacting Lincare on 4 separate occasions and still missing 4 correct nasal pillows it's time to switch DME providers.

Customer service
February 23, 2021

This is a horrible company to deal with. My mother was placed on O2 and when I did not hear from the company in a timely manner, I called only to find out that there was a problem with the doctors order, so they said. It was horrible to have to wait for a company who provides a much needed medical device to people who are in diar need. It took over 30 days to try to get it started that they had to get a new order from the doctor.
They were caught in lies several times only to try to pass the buck onto the doctor. They sat on the order instead of calling the doctor to get info they needed to complete the order until I called and asked "where is my O2?"
The reps that answer the phones are rude and unknowledgeable of their own equipment and policies.
I would stir very clear of this company. I hated to even give them.one star!

This company is actually owned and operated by Lincare. I do not recommend Lincare. I'd look for another provider immediately! I've dealt with this company for years. Very seldom have there been good experiences. The good only comes from a handful of employees that have the best intentions. Unfortunately, corporate will still do what they want, even at the cost of patient care. Most of the time, there are supply issues. However, my biggest complaint is the oxygen service is horrible. Roosevelt and Derrick are wonderful, but the rest of the delivery drivers have poor people skills and they really don't want to do the job. Heaven forbid, trying to get oxygen on the weekend. Its like pulling teeth to get a delivery.

My recent complaint is that this company will let the patient go without oxygen, period! We're currently dealing with a weather event that creates a great deal of problems with oxygen delivery. That's understandable, but this company doesn't take any precautions before a winter storm to avoid service issues. Heaven forbid, there is a winter storm, this company will tell you your out of luck. The service manager, point blank told me that oxygen delivery isn't their problem and the patient can do without or find some other way to get the oxygen. If that's the case, why does this company provide a medically necessary service?

Go somewhere else or deal with the nightmare.

My mother who is on oxygen 24/7 had a problem with their crap machine and waited all day for someone to replace her machine and bring more portable tanks. No one showed up, she was told the driver wasn't answering his phone and when she called back for the 3rd time after hours, the answering service got snippy with her. In the meantime, my mom is panicking her machine will stop working overnight. So much for the "standard of excellence" the website says they strive for. Disgraceful company.

No care about patients
January 14, 2021

I should've read the reviews here before engaging with the company. They literally don't care. In numerous phone conversation they didn't object to bill my CPAP device as a purchase. Yet after delivery they billed it as an installment, causing the cost to fall into my deductible. I had to return the device. I'm on my own without the device. Thank you Lincare.

Most incompetent, lazy and rude company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I was diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea in November and have been trying to get a C-PAP machine. It is now December 29 and Lincare has still not sent the order to be authorized through my insurance- even after calling them WITH my insurance agency reps twice and having my insurance agency representative give them exact instructions on what to do and how to even get the authorization expedited. Today, Jennifer hung up on me after not allowing me to speak to her boss and telling me that Mellissa (who is supposed to be working my claim) sent the authorization in on the 18th. I know that is not accurate information, because I called the authorization department of my insurance company this morning and they had no record of the request.
When I called the corporate number to report the unresolved issue, Chris decided to defend Melissa and try to tell me that I had called customer service at my insurance company and that was why they didn't know the authorization had been sent over- unfortunately for Chris, my insurance company is actually on the ball and when I called customer service, they called the authorization department to check and gave me the number to follow up with.

Now thanks to the extraordinary incompetence showed by the Springfield Lincare team, not only am I still suffering and unable to get good rest, my bill will likely not hit until the new year and I'll have to pay out of pocket for it instead of having it hit when I had already paid my out of pocket maximums.

Explanation!
December 25, 2020

I have been on the phone with lincare 3 times in 8 days just to get cannulas and a water catcher. Each time ive been toold ill make sure they are sent out today! Nothing yet! But after doing a little research, ive realized just how many of us here have respetory problems! Its a VAST AMOUNT. So my apologies from my heart to mr Steve and Mrs Cindy for all these negative remarks i have read. They are very respectful and kind. I cant imagine how they deal with the case load they carry. God bless all of you that work there. The other two oxygen companies get the same bad reviews. Im sorry yall get so much crap. I need my supplies but i understand yall cant possibly keep up with all who need you. Ill wait my turn even if i have to stay home and clean my canulas until you get to me. Much love for what yall do..

$500 plus dollars a month charged to my insurance for something that will cost me $300 plus dollars to buy and keep for myself. Outrageous billing and rude customer service. They rate 40th in similar service companies across the nation. Shameful.
