I ordered clothes which looked good on the web side. I was stunned when I received the merchandise. Nothing looked like the pictures. Very cheap quality, the cut of the clothes looked totally different in the pictures. A skirt and a dress looked very wide on the photo, in reality just the minimum of material was used. One dress had a strange bright pink part which was not mentioned at all, I am not sure if the Good Will store can do something with the stuff. On top of all out of the blue I suddenly had to pay postage which did not appear on my final bill. Well, this was certainly a lesson I had to pay for. Ordering in China? Never ever again.

I believe this website is a scam, I placed an order 1 month ago and have still not received anything. I have tried contacting the company numerous times with no response. Stay well clear.
My experience was very good! My first purchase was a formal dress for my daughter that was the only gown we could find appropriate to her age after spending hours fruitlessly searching in specialty shops and wearing each other to a frazzle. I did not read any reviews about Light In The Box before I placed my order as I have never had a disappointment shopping on line. However, I decided to check out some reviews about two weeks after placing my order. Then, I was terrified! There were so many negative reviews that I was sure that something would go wrong. No doubt, the buyer should always beware, however, that applies to any kind of purchase. I have bought clothing at retail many times that did not meet my expectations after I got them home... and if they are a clearance item they generally cannot be returned.
I am very happy to say that we are both very pleased with our Light In The Box experience. The parcel arrived exactly at my address in Canada on the estimated delivery date. The colour and fit, not custom but standard size, are perfect. The quality is not couture but it is very good. The gown has a lining, boning, built in bra and hand sewn beading. I would easily have paid $400+ in Canada for the dress. The total for purchase price, expedited shipping, taxes and customs came to less than $200. If 1/2 star ratings were available I would rate my experience 4.5. The only reason for not rating 5 stars is that I think that the web-site could be more precise about applicable taxes and duty or import charges so that customers have a better idea of total cost when they place their orders.
Since I am a very pleased first time buyer, I will certainly be back!
