I have ordered a make up brushes set from them. It has shipped on the 28th of May.
Initially, it claimed 20 work days for delivery. When I did not receive the package, they told me to wait 40 days, which I did. Still no package received. Now I am trying to cancel the order and get a refund, and they tell me that I have to wait until 60 DAYS! Then, PROBABLY some manager will look into the issue and decide.
I tried to explain that I am moving out of the country so I will not have access to the adress anymore, and cannot wait 60 days, but it is as if they do not read my messages at all. They only send generic replies.
If I could, I would give them MINUS 5 stars.

I placed an order on May 8th for some items for my daughters Birthday on May 24th. It is July 14th and they still have not arrived. They send out generic responses to inquiries about your order. Each one asking you to wait a few more days. They are refusing to refund my money. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN... shortly after I posted this review I did in fact receive a response from them, trying to bully me into changing this review in order to receive my credit for undelivered goods immediately. If I refused to change my rating, which I did... I must wait another 2 months before receiving my credit. E-mail from them reads: "I am really sorry that you have not received the package. Please kindly understand in this case, normally we need to contact our logistics department for help to track your package firstly. Once we confirm the package could not be delivered to you or has been lost, we will get back and issue a full refund for you by then. While please understand it might take 1-2 months for us to get the checking result. We would appreciate if you can wait for us to get back.
However, if you can't wait that long, I can fully understand. As I truly value you as our customer, I'd like to offer you a Quicker solution as below:

I ordered May 8,2017 and my order was never received. On July 13,2017 I contacted Light in the Box and they claimed that they issued me a refund on May 18,2017. They hadn't. So I'm in the process of emailing back and forth trying to get my money back. Do not order from this company. Not worth the cheap price.

I ordered a human hair wig from them. The order wasn't cheap. It cost me almost close to $200. I paid for expedited shipping so I can get it within 2-3 business days, as they advertised. However, when I receive the package after two weeks not only it was too late but also was the wrong product. The Wig I ordered was a black straight wig. What they sent me was a cheap $80 brown curly wig. When I contact their customer service, first I was told that my items didn't arrive. Then when I confirm that I received the package and told them I need my money refunded as I was tired of dealing with them. They said I can get the item exchanged or keep the product and get 20% refund. I still didn't get my money nor the right item.It takes them over 2 days to get any response for any issues I raised. My next step is to maybe contest the payment through PayPal. My suggestion to anyone trying to use their service, please don't purchase from this site. Buy from other retailers at any cost, if you really want to save yourself a headache and get proper customer service.

I have written before but I am so incensed I have to write again. For no reason they closed my ticket where I had sent the receipt for the customs and excise for £42. I have now sent this receipt 4 times on another ticket and altogether there have been more than 25 messages. They are determined not to pay me the money they owe. I had paid the insurance. I know there are people who have had a good experience but there are many more who have not. This company should be shut down they are stealing money. They will keep finding excuses not to pay. I cannot stress enough, please be careful when purchasing anything from Light In The Box.
I have been battling with this company for months now on a refund and also customs and tax charges for a bike I purchased which was faulty, Twice.
They have lied to avoid refunding me for the item. They have even gone as far as refusing to accept the faulty goods at the warehouse after I paid to have the item returned. I also paid extra to cover the cost of customs and duty charges, which they are also not refunding me. Which has amounted to over £400
I know there are a lot of varied comments on Light In The Box, but please make sure you're happy to either loose your money or go into a lengthy battle with them if the item is faulty. This is the WORST online site I have ever experienced.

I noticed a missing part on my order and advised them a month ago. They still continue to ask me to wait 2-3 days.
They don't follow-up. They just wait your next message.
Totally unreliable and unprofessional.
The only solution they offered me during the month is to return the product (a 3D printer kit costing $245) at my own expense even worst, they don't reimburse the initial delivery fee which is more than $100!
So they want me to accept to pay $200 for nothing. And reading other reviews I could even not been reimbursed of $245, costing me $445.

I ordered three items on the seventh for a trip I am taking on the fourteenth, and paid extra for expedited shipping(2-3 days). It has been 5 days since I ordered and it says it will be shipped on the 16th! It should have been shipped three days ago! I am very disappointed. I paid about 14-15 dollars for shipping and its not even going to get shipped on time. I am going to amazon instead.

I wanted to give this Light In the Box a try due to the small sizes they offer. I had placed my order a few days ago but even to this day I still do not see my order (# 23713335) on their website under the "My Order" page. I have been searching their webtsite for a contact information but there is nothing in the website for it. I have been charged in my bank account already and would like a refund unless they provide me with the tracking number and progress update.
Immediately after I posted my complaint I was worthy of customer service. They resolved the typos on the personalized items and eventually sent replacements of the broken necklaces. From start to finish - it took about 6 months. If they had simply helped after I initially complained I never would have resorted to social media defamation. I did promise them that I'd adjust my review. So - I've changed it from a 1 to a 2.
They value social media... so use it.
I placed two orders this holiday season. Specifically they included personalized inscribed items as well as jewelry. The necklaces were actually knots in a zippered baggie and were, not surprisingly, broken. I ordered multiple personalized items. The engraving is so tiny that it is not readable. I entered 3 lines - as was shown in their photo - they mushed them into 2 lines... completely changing the message. Another was for a team - I entered the team name, the school, the graduating year. Very simple. They translated it to the first 2 entries were now a couple and there was an "&" placed between. WHAT?!
In the over $60 that I spent as small gifts for others - there was NOT ONE SINGLE ITEM that I could give as a gift without being incredibly embarrassed.
There customer service gives the illusion that they are good because they respond quickly to issues via email. However - they don't resolve the issue. They just send generic responses that do not pertain to your specific concern. There is no recourse. After your original complaint you cannot communicate with them without attaching additional photographs... the site won't let you enter your message without attaching photos. Too much hassle.
Shop elsewhere... unless you like to purchase low end garbage. Keep your money in the USA!

Well the dresses finally arrived and what a disappointment! I ordered 2 dresses for my 12 year old and ordered 160cm in line with the sizing guide on site. Well, one is so small she can't even get it on and the other one fits but is torn and has stains on it! Very poorly made and so will be going in the bin as it will cost too much to retrun to China. Will NEVER use these people again and would not recommend them to anyone. Extremely poor customer "service" and extremely poor products. If I could give no stars I would.
Ten orders done and concerning them no problems whatsoever so far.
Bought the tax insurance when necessary and it worked delightfully for the two parcels that got stuck in the customs. Customer service has been quick and friendly.
Haven't had the need to do any returns or exchanges.
Shipping takes the usual 2-3 weeks but so what. That's just as expected and tracking numbers let you see where it's going.
Tip for consumers: If you're ordering clothing, make sure to carefully measure and compare to the sizing charts - but you probably already know about the difference in EU, US and ASIAn sizes, don't you?:)

In the spirit of full disclosure, I'll add this experience into my review.
They (or someone, read on.) sent me an email in July and thus I made the first version of my review here. But since I gave her/him/them the details, nothing. Complete silence even from their feedback email address, which I mailed twice with the same concern with a fortnight between them.
Now it's been another two weeks since last mail and still no reply or reaction of any kind.
So had one/two stars deducted for this, sorry.

Don't use them! Ordered a memory card which did not come in 2 weeks as promised. After I enquired computer reply said it could take 2 months. Now after 3 months and another complaint computer says it may take 180 days! Can't get reply from real person. No money back. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!

All of the clothing I received was horrible quality and did not look at all like the photo they had online. They were just plain awful and the sizing was a joke. I received an XL shirt that would not fit a small person and a Med shirt (was supposed to be the same shirt as the XL) and the medium was literally larger than a 4x One was a terrible quality plain sweatshirt with a sticker posted on it and the other was a draping long gown like garment. I was appalled.would recommend finding a different company.
