Ordered an item in April. Three months later, I still don't have it. They offer nothing but vague information and will not refund my money.
Update: They have refunded my money via Paypal.
My particular issue is trying to reset my forgotten password. I try to redeem my credit on a purchase and am asked to enter password. I forgot it, but unlike other retailers, there is no "forgot password" message to click. Trying to get a personal response is impossible without a order id number, which this does not regard. "customer service" button leads to the same lame page without email for inquiries. Ambivalent about using LITB again until resolved, as they DO have lots of very cool products!
I ordered two Chandelier lights from Light in the box. Time to Shipment was stated (5-8) working days. It was shipped in 11 working days. Delivery estimate was 8-12 days. It took 15 days. I live in Australia and took one month to receive my order.
There were several issues in the package I received:
- The listing indicated they will come with light bulbs (12 of them). They were missing.
- The chandelier body was chipped and scratched and bent at several points.
- One of the Chandeliers had 6 crystal balls missing.
- The quality of electric wires was not up to scratch.
Upon sending message about these, I only received automatic replies, with no luck so far to communicate to a real human on the other side.
Keep in mind. If you buy from overseas supplier, you will not receive the same consumer protection that you may enjoy at your own country.
I do not recommend this supplier, or any other unknown online website for purchasing items that has a high chance of being faulty or being damaged at transit/shipment.

A complete joke, Selling a product that states it will work in the UK but subsequently didn't & I have been in discussion for 6 weeks regarding returning the product, after a dozen emails I was told to sent it to their Poland depot which will cost £80 to send the product. Still awaiting what I should do next but it looks like it is £200 down the drain and the worst organisation I have ever dealt with

Dear customer, after checking the voltage of the light is noted on product page is for 110-120V. You may also confirm the voltage of the light in your order confirmaiton and shipment notification. After some issues with Customs in my country I finally received help from the Customer Service (it was not easy to have the right contact person).
Otherwise, the shipment was all right (3.5 weeks to arrive) and the price good with a coupon. I recommend this shop which offers globally a good experience.

Hello, I won a dress from the Valentine giveaway. The dress I chose could not be altered to my height (156cm tall), so I asked if I could choose another dress. I could, but only one from the competition. So I chose the only dress that was not long.
It took a few tries to get the people on Facebook to understand my sizes (I included the graph from the ordering process and gave my measurements accordingly). After noting my sizes, I had to choose a color, wich was not an easy thing to do, because there was only one color pictured where the model wore the dress.
Upon arrival, I was stunned by the color, glad I chose it. The dress was not made out of crappy quality fabric (no idea if it is high quality, no knowledge of that).
BUT: even though they knew my body length, the dress was about 20cm too high for me. Luckily I have a handy grandmother who had a solution at hand. But this was a bummer for me.
It would suit this company right to (on Facebook) pay better attention to prior had conversations.

I ordered my wedding dress from this site several weeks ago. It was shipped from China and then on the day it was supposed to be delivered I received an email from them. It said their were delivery issues and the package wasn't signed for so it was sent back. I called the shipping company after checking my tracking on lightinthebox.com and seeing that it never left China. The shipping company confirmed this and also stated that the package was requested to be sent back to the warehouse by light in the box. Now they have given me 2 options. I can have it re shipped for expedited 2-3 day shipping by paying for shipping... AGAIN! Or I can get a full refund minus shipping. FRAUD! I sent a message to customer service but I seriously doubt I will hear anything back. Completely unprofessional, fraudulent, and down right dishonest. I will never order anything from a site like this again.

Well for those who have been following my reviews this will be my last. Please do not order anything from this fake company all they will do is create nothing but frustration for you and take your money and send you nothing or something that is chinese crap!
I finally had to go to my credit card company and file a fraud complaint against LIGHT IN THE BOX and Visa Refunded my whole amount and they are now going after "LIGHT IN THE BOX". So don't waste you time trying to get a refund just go to your credit card company and let them go after these scumbags.
I learnt an important lesson is to check reviews on sites like these. Too good to be true it usually is. So my friends be careful and good luck!

I put an order of 6 items and then another order wit one item. I tried to contact the customer support, ( they only have one through messenger) and they told me that the first order was not paid for so they would only send the order with one item. As it is immpossible to place an order without paying they would know thats false! I paid for both and now after one weeks textning with the support both orders are cancelled but nothing abort repayment for My first order. The support answers 24 hours after you have sent your question and The answers are stupid and only for you to wear out because the next answer will not come in 24 hours even if you answer immediately!. Worst company i ever delt with!

I ordered a month ago with a notice saying i would receive my purchase in 10-18 days. It shipped a few days later and was un-trackable. Now I am receiving several emails a day with shipping information, still unsure when I will actually receive my purchases. Good luck if you make a purchase.

During order process LightInTheBox shows delivery conditions that are NOT really applyed:
Estimate Shipping Time: 15 - 21 business days
Shipping Charges & Insurance: EUR 6.34

But, immediately after the delivery notification email, they send you an other email to inform you that there are problems and your package could arrive in 60 days!
You say that, for that time, you have no more need of the ordered products (because you need them before, and you must buy them in other shop), but they repeat you that the problems cannot be resolved.
So you wait.
Finally the products arrive (to Italy), but you have to pay an extra fee (15 euro) to take them.
You write them again, and they tell you that they can pay back to you the 10% ONLY if you have purchased the Insurance: and they tell you that "YOU HAVE NOT PAYED THE Insurance"

They are Chinese deceivers. The shop does not pay the customs, but it is hidden behind the extra price insurance against customs fees. This earns money.
It also sends non-importable articles, which are confiscated by customs. You can not return the items because the customs will take them into storage and will not return them.
Complaints in the lighninginthebox portal are closed, although the case is not solved.
I ordered an XIAOMI vacuum cleaner robot, which was confiscated by the customs and taken into account. In the meantime, I have the written notice that it can not be introduced. So always confiscated?!

I received a replacement for my damaged picture, I had to pay 2 lots of custom charges despite the fact that the first parcel was damaged when I received it. The replacement picture is not the same colouring as the one I initially ordered and the quality is really really awful. DONT ORDER FROM THIS SITE. I have learnt a very expensive lesson, please don't make the same mistake that I did, thinking that you could rely on receiving what you are looking at on the companies website.

Items ordered and quoted 10 days delivery - these items weren't dispatched for a further week and now (a month later) their eventual response to my contact is that it can take 30 WORKING days (or 2 months in real time) from the date of dispatch. I am pleased that I finally got a polite and reasonable response from the company, but ONLY after I posted my experience on sitejabber. I have opted to wait out for delivery of the item until July 5th as that is when the item will no longer be of use to me.
The company did offer to resend the item via expedited mail. In return I was asked to upgrade my rating to 4 - 5 stars and refuse delivery of the originally sent item when it is delivered. Refusing delivery of the item is not possible as it will be delivered to the address anyway. To comply with this request I would have to pay to ship it back to sender. I was also given the option of a refund and that too would necessitate that I send back the item when it finally arrives and at a cost to myself.
My concern is that in order to be taken seriously and responded to appropriately and with reason, I have had to file 2 tickets and post on sitejabber... this is not good PR for any company. All they had to do was respond to me in a reasonable manner in the first place. Lightinthebox needs to reconsider how they choose to respond to customers when problems in shipping arise. Take responsibility for the business end of things up front and that way the customers will almost certainly keep coming back regardless of the barriers that present themselves.
If the item is not delivered by July 5th, I will be asking for a full refund and will not be paying for sending any item back. I have upgraded my rating to 2 stars because giving 3 stars suggests that I had an average on-line shopping experience and this is simply not true for me.

I order an item on April 16th, 2017, for a July 7th, 2017 wedding. I have made several inquiries as to where the item is and today, June 20th, 2017 have been told that I need to cooperate with their investigation team as to where the item might be.
I was told that items can take up to 60 days to ship even though they originally give a timeline of 20 business days and that the item needs to clear several different customs processes.
I opened 2 complaint tickets on this one and got the same excuses both times.

All of the clothing I received was horrible quality and did not look at all like the photo they had online. They were just plain awful and the sizing was a joke. I received an XL shirt that would not fit a small person and a Med shirt (was supposed to be the same shirt as the XL) and the medium was literally larger than a 4x One was a terrible quality plain sweatshirt with a sticker posted on it and the other was a draping long gown like garment. I was appalled.would recommend finding a different company.
