I needed a dress for a wedding and stumbled across what appeared to be a lovely dress on LightInTheBox. Before I sent to them my custom measurements to make the dress to my size, I carefully read over their return policy which states clearly a "7 Days No Reason Return". Their policy states: "Items under the following categories are non-returnable for customer's reason." and "Made-to-Order" is under that list. I figured that if the dress arrived and I didn't like it or changed my mind ("customer reason"), I would be unable to return the dress, but if the dress was not as in the picture then it would fall under this 7 days no-reason return. The dress arrived, and the quality was terrible. The custom-sized dress fit me so poorly and was improperly sewn at the hem and the sleeve hem, so was not wearable. I paid extra to have custom measurements, yet the fit and sewing quality are appalling. The bust was huge, does not look right, and unlike the photo on the website, there are plastic cups in the bust.
I sent LightInTheBox numerous photos and a clear description of how the dress did not look like the dress on their website and went back and forth with them for weeks. You can see from the added photo the quality of the dress they sent to me compared to the photo on the website.
In the end, they refused a refund. I paid them good money for an unsalvageable dress. I ended up having to purchase another dress for the wedding.
This is truly a terrible company in all respects.
Incredibly poor quality control, abhorrent customer service, and highly deceptive and dishonest business practices. There are so many companies out there to purchase clothing from. This is the first complaint I have ever written about any company and I purchase clothing online regularly, but I felt this experience was worthy of a public review so that you do not have to go through the horrible experience I had to go through. I would highly recommend if you see "LightInTheBox" to take your business elsewhere.
I ordered a sequence dress, and was sent a cheap thin material dress that had a print of sequence on it. When asked if I could return the item. I was getting the run around and only offered a percentage of my purchase back or a %55 off my next purchase and was told that it was in my best interest not to return the item in order to save me money.
The dress doesn't look anything like the dress that was advertised.
I highly recommend that you save your time and money and do not shop here.
Dresses look nothing like pictures! Supposed to be linen! Cheap see through material only suitable for the bin!
Which they will end up in due to complicated refund policy and posting back to China!

Poor quality item nothing like picture. Trying to get refund is impossible the instructions got me nowhere. I won't be ordering again! Lesson learnt.

Kreeg mijn bestelling sneller binnen dan ik verwacht had.
De blouses zijn ook precies zoals omschreven op de site / in de app, maar waren helaas te klein voor mij.
Zeer tevreden dus.
Hopelijk ben ik straks ook zo tevreden over de afhandeling van de retourzending
6 mooie juren en goede kwaliteit, maar ook 6 slechte jurken, slecht stof, stof komt niet overeen op de foto, en de kleur ook niet. Of ze zijn groot of ze vallen klein en allemaal zelfde maat. Dames ketting deze heb ik niet onvangen die zat er niet bij.
Make sure you really want the item and DON'T trust the pictures they post because they are very deceiving. Colors and textures are retouched to give a much more attractive product than you will receive. And you have to pay the return postage. From US to their China address is too expensive to make it worth the effort. Also receiving from China is much longer than expected and no updates are sent.

I do not have pictures. The quality of the material is not even suitable to be worn in public. The material is very cheap quality. The dress does not look anything like the pictures. It is horrible. It is disgraceful that someone would try to sell these dresses. The dresses in the pictures are a complete misrepresentation of what is actually recieved.

I was very happy with quality & style of product bought but the sizing is on the small side. When I went to return / exchange for the next size up the shipping returns policy & costs were shocking: no free returns. Have to ship to their Asia warehouse at my cost £10-£40 taking 2-4 weeks! Where are my consumer rights! Will never buy again.

Sehr verlockende Bilder + Preise zum Kauf! Ware nur aus Kunstfasern und billiger Druck. Die Größentabellen stimmen nicht: angegebene Größe ist mind. 1Nr. Kleiner! Reklamation geht, Rückversand nach China muss man selbst tragen - ist teurer als die Bestellung! Meine bestellten Hemden behalte ich.

Todo muy bien. Excepto uno de los bikinis que no era del color que lo pedí, era mucho más oscuro que en la foto. Y algo descontenta con la tardanza... pague 33 euros por un servicio express que ha tardado 15 días en llegar.

Answer: Hello, I bought a few things and the quality was not very good and the sizing was totally wrong. I also bought a cellular charger and the battery inside was not soldered correctly. Lightinthebox has great price, but you pay for what you get, which isn't much. I have stopped buying from them.

Answer: You NEVER get your money back... dont use them. I am amazed this company is allowed to trade, I am sure we have law's against this kind of practise.
Answer: Suggest not to buy. Might end up not receiving the order or received the wrong size and would be returning and paying shipping or requesting a refund or not receiving a refund at all. There's more legit company like Amazon where I bought the same one I ordered from Lightinabox, which I did not received. Sorry, but I would not trust this Co for anything. Answer: Count yourself lucky and DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! You will be disappointed in the clothing and size from this company. All of the clothing I received was horrible quality and did not look at all like the photo they had online. They were just plain awful and the sizing was a joke. I received an XL shirt that would not fit a small person and a Med shirt (was supposed to be the same shirt as the XL) and the medium was literally larger than a 4x One was a terrible quality plain sweatshirt with a sticker posted on it and the other was a draping long gown like garment. I was appalled.would recommend finding a different company.
