First time ever to use Legal Zoom, "I will be back"! I required a Trademark so I made an inquire to this service company and the following is the true story.
Good friendly phone and email questions answered, step by step guidance with connecting you to right people to answer questions, and was able to stop filing process until I had my free phone consultation with a very knowledgeable and most helpful Attorney. (Easy to schedule the consultation). One thing you will need to do is fill out the form that ask you to best explain your Trademark and logo design... it would be to your benefit to write out your thoughts before filling out form... I did not and I share this to help you to be ahead.
In closing this experience with Legal Zoom, I would say they have more than been helpful and the fees are very reasonable in comparison to IP Firms. After I got a notice from Zoom services that the Mark was filed, I was more than pleased. 2 weeks later I got a nice package in the mail and all of the paper work and a copy of the USPTO filing also. In package also included a step by step to check the status of my New serial number at the Trademark office.

I have used Legal Zoom many times in the past and was pleased. This time, the customer service was terrible and turnaround incredibly slow. I could have filed these documents myself much faster. I still don't have all of my documents and the story/excuse is different everytime I contact them. I even paid for the expedited corporate elite package.

I filed a legalzoom order to have a corporation started, paid to 48 hour expedite my order on a Friday, 6 days later (Thursday) and I still haven't received my EIN number. They promised it to be ready on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest, and now instead of being accountable they will not refund me for their mistakes. The only reason I knew there was a hiccup in my order was because I called them. Then I was transferred 4-5 times, my call was dropped and I was not respected or fully reimbursed for my expediting. No one with the company is accountable or informed on what they are selling you, and they do not stand by their promises. I would never treat my clients this way.

From beginning until end, Mychael was SUPERB. He's courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He has a nice friendly, helpful voice and he's also very patient. I had many questions for Mychael and he satisfactorily answered them all. I don't think he really knows how I TRULY appreciated all that he has done for me and more importantly, the way he has done it. When you find someone like Mychael, he's the only one you want to handle your business... and he handled it very well. My husband used to company starting his trucking company! It was a complete waste! He set up payment plans and have paid these folks 800 dollars for absoutely nothing! After waiting weeks on a form we needed from the state we finally called and it was just a matter of printing the certificate! We had to pay an extra 25.00 but it was better than waiting on legal zoom. We called and called nobody seemed to know why we couldn't get the form. After taking more money out of our account we finally get the form but we were a full month into our business. I pray this helps some one trying to start their business because it is so many up and downs! Please stay away from this company!

I paid almost $800 on 12/9/15. I paid this to receive a 7-10 day expedited pLLC. (Professional LLC.) Today, 12/17/15, I am still at step one. First of all, they do not contact you except by robo call, when there is no message left. I found this out after not hearing anything for days, and then logging in to the web site where I discovered that my account was "On Hold." I reached someone (at least this was not too difficult) and was told that the problem was that for a pLLC (professional LLC) I needed to send in a license. Since I was trying to expedite, and it was already 5 days, I dropped the "p," avoiding a step, and went with a plain LLC. Then - days later - I found out that there was a business name conflict, and I also found out that the 800 calls I had been receiving with no message left, were a robo call saying to get in touch. (I suggested that they notify people that they will be reached, not by email or text, but by robo call with no message and they should answer the call and then call legalzoom. The customer rep said she would tell management...) I selected 5 more names 3 days ago and emailed them to the "Alternate Name" address, as per instruction. So far I have heard nothing (not even a robo call) and I see, when I log on, that my account is "On Hold" with "Information Required." Today I will call - again - to find out what is going on. Now, it is 8 days in, with 2 more to go, since this was supposed to be done. I strongly advise going elsewhere to open a corporation. I am doing a lot of work, have not seen expected progress, and paid a hefty sum that appears to have been wasted.
