I filed for a patent via Legal Zoom, and all I ever received were computer-generated questions. So I abandoned and got the refund... only to find Legal Zoom had re-charged my card the $1098. And they never answer the phone! I want my money back!
I was expecting a call back from a manager as stated below from Legal Zoom based on the review I posted. I am on the phone with Department of Education pertaining to the form Legal Zoom sent in. I am trying my best to push this application with the Board of Ed. Myself. I was told by that department Legal Zoom again made a big mistake on the application and it will be rejected. Instead of having my name as the administrator, Legal Zoom have my name as the MD and the department of Ed is requesting both certifications on me and Dr. Wilkins. I sent the information in for Dr. Allen Wilkins and just received a call from the Department of Ed. That they have accepted the certification on Dr. Wilkins but is needs the information on Denise Conway. I called Legal Zoom and was placed on hold for about 15 minutes then Nathan again came on the phone refusing to get on a conference call with the department of ed to correct the mistake.
This problem has been going on since October 2015. Dr. Allen is slated to start his practice 04/01/2016.
I am still waiting on a manager to call me.
I can't do any enrollments with insurance companies especially with Medicare.

Never sign up on auto pay with this company, they will never let you know what's going on and just keep charging your account. You can do everything they say they can do buy yourself, with less cost and headaches.

This is the first time I purchased anything from Legal Zoom. We are forming a new LLC. Average attorney fee was over $ 3,000. For under a $ 1,000, we were able to purchase the same services and more from Legal Zoom (including a lot of bells and whistles). The most important part of this experience was Courtney Buhr's hand-holding over phone. She is extremely knowledgeable, eager to help, courteous and freely available over phone. Without her assistance, it would have been very difficult to purchase this product.
She (and others like her) are a good reason to use Legal Zoom's products and services. Such support is extremely rare these days.

I was frustrated with an order I placed initially but speaking to Yvette V today made a world of a difference. She heard the frustration in my voice and she took the time to listen to me and stayed on the line to make sure the problem was resolved. She went above and beyond and explained every step to me to make sure I was informed and okay throughout the process. Truly a professional, Jordan is amazing. You don't need transferred to 3 departments and put on hold when you work with him. After spending $5000 on a living trust over a dozen years ago [private attorney] we were hesitant to make any changes. But the kids have grown, circumstances have evolved, and it's important to revisit the dang thing. Looking at Legalzoom's bundles my husband and I were amazed at the pricing. LegalZoom is good for the access to legal advise they provide via attorneys they have on their roster. The attorneys I spoke to were intelligent and very responsive to my inquiries. But I would never recommend them to form a company. They wasted almost 5-6 weeks of my time in my attempts to form an LLC. After much frustration and leaving disgusted, I went to my state's website and formed my LLC. It took all but a few minutes to have my application accepted which included my company name. I then had my EIN in record time as well. LegalZoom repeatedly told me in emails over several weeks and over the phone that based on their research that my name was "high risk for rejection". They had me change my name and submit alternatives. A complete waste of time. Yet, they could not tell me why they felt my name as given was high risk for rejection. When I filed directly through the state, my company name was accepted AND in it's original name as presented to LegalZoom. I do not know what algorithm they use to determine risk for acceptance but whatever they are using is flawed. Also, the tax advise is not so. It is a rep not an accountant that you speak with who cannot give tax advice. A waste of time toward my incorporation.

My frist experience by e-mail was with your customer service legal team who went the extra mile to assist me as I'm not a registered member, but a POA of a party who vaulted his information in 2012. I provided the information and order numbers and was directed to Estate Planning and was lucky to get a most patient lady named Jennifer who had so much patience with an 81 year old who is a bit slow on the computer. However, with her help and patience I was able to get the information I was seeking. The teams and Jennifer would compliment any organization and many I've dealt with don't come close to those I mentioned.My experience was a FIVE STAR.

I started a LLC with Legal Zoom in January of 2014. My business only lasted eight months before we closed our doors. It had gone unnoticed until today that we had signed up for automatic yearly contract with legal zoom. Well since my business has been closed for two years and we were not using their services they went ahead and refunded my money they had charged me. I was shockwd a company would refund me once I had paid for the service, but they checked all the state records and saw I had not been in business since 201. The agent told me "you didn't use our service so we are not going to take your money". If there were only more companies out there that are morally and ethically like legal zoom maybe we would all be better off. Once again thanks legal zoo.

They claim to have Satisfaction Guaranteed, but the reason I used them is because they were supposed to do all the work for me. But they didn't! I asked them to file my state withholding account forms and after providing all the info they asked for on their site and waiting over a week all I got was a half-filled out form that I had to complete and send in. I could have downloaded it and done it myself a 10 days earlier and saved the time. I got NOTHING for my money and when I asked for a refund they said no. I went on my state website and filled out the form right there and got my ID in 10 minutes. No idea why I gave LegalZoom that info and waited so long for NOTHING! They claim to be 100% satisfaction guaranteed but talking to someone is impossible, and if you're not satisfied they could give a $#*!. I'll never use them again! Ben

I had chosen to go with the pricier option ($199.99) believing I would be getting personal guidance for a somewhat intricate Will I was trying to draft. What I got was - "Answer the online questions..." and BAM out comes a cookie cutter Will, in no way shape or form even approaching 10% of my true Will's desires. I think a computer program takes your on-line answers and just prints the Will - no "Lawyer" caring or GUIDING you a final product directly reflecting your heart's desires. Go see a REAL, in-the-flesh Lawyer for your Will

I had the most outstanding chat session with Peter at LegalZoom. All of this "starting a new business" was so new to me and there is so much. I was starting to get so overwhelmed by the jargon. Legal Zoom helped me petition for a trademark with the USA Office of Trademarks/Patents in Washington, D. C. They assisted with the forms and posted me on timings, next steps, et al.
My petition was approved within the timetable detailed for me by Legal Zoom.
What a relief and inroad. One of my critical commercial elements is now protected.

Summary: Complete failure on LegalZoom part. Requested Registered Agent for almost a month still no action. Number of phone calls 11, Hours on the phone: 7. Twice requested to speak with manager. Escalation team 3 agents where involved. 2 times order was created with problems. Never send you status, excuse, excuse and another one. 2 emails to support asking the same question over and over again. People please save your money and find some other company. Consider you paying them for service and they are not delivering. Also I will submit compliant to BBB.
