I signed up for the free seven day trial and it tried to charge my card a dollar. It would not let me print my document without a full sub subscription for $49. The site was completely unhelpful and money grabbing. Anyone trying to download paperwork from this site watch your wallets.

Choosing the right template presented a problem because several options existed for the relevant category. However, the template itself was easy to fill in and navigate. After saving the document as a PDF, I discovered that I had made some mistakes. So, I went back into the program and clicked on "Edit." It gave me two options: "SmartBuilder" and "PDF Editor." I chose the latter but found the result unsatisfactory. So, I chose "SmartBuidler" and discovered that it brought up the original template, but with all the fields filled in. I made the changes and saved it as a PDF. However, the changes did not appear in the PDF. So, I went back into "SmartBuilder," made sure the changes were still there, clicked "Save," and clicked on the "Preview" button in the lefthand pane. The document came up with the changes I had made, but the pages had a "PREVIEW" watermark across them. I saved it as a PDF anyway, and the watermark disappeared. In conclusion, the final product was high quality but getting there was frustrating. On the other hand, I found the cost and effort worthwhile for someone who only needed to produce a single legal document. Which is to say that I imagine that this program would be very useful for someone who regularly deals with legal or financial issues. That is the only reason I give it "5 stars."

* Use SmartBuilder to make changes, click Save, then Finish to regenerate the PDF.
* Download from Actions > Download to ensure the latest version.
* The PREVIEW watermark only appears in Preview. It will not show on the downloaded PDF.
If anything looks off, email [email protected] and we will help get the final file just right.

I'm a double degree retired paralegal and I find this app to be helpful but it would be better if it were more user friendly with at least tutorials to show how to edit docs and how to sign electronically.

Before I retired I had used several companies over the years to provide legal documents. I just used Legal Templates and it was the best experience of all. Excellent rental lease template that was easy to fill and edit. Unlike some companies' products, I was able to add or delete verbage unique to my situation. Since I only needed one document and anticipate not needing any more for the rest of the year I used their free one week trial subscription and then cancelled. It was straight forward with no hassle. I just wish they had an option where one could pay by document. Thank you.
