This jacket is a beast and mean that in a good way. Much more than I anticipated. On sale it is a steel
I'm 5'10, 195 pounds, 36" waist and 42" chest. I ordered an XL and it fits perceftly. The coat is beautiful and has great features. Riding in 55 degree weather there was a littly chill coming through the sleeves but a light hoody made it perfect. It got a few degrees warmer and I didn't need the hoody. I had the 10% coupon and they offered free shipping so for $89.95 I think it's a fantastic bargain.
Excellent deal when looking for a lightly armored, protective and reflective jacket. Other "brand" name jackets are twice the price of this and have less than half the features. Pockets galore, removable armor, straps to fit, warm/cool, etc. I shopped around locally and online and this jacket has far exceeded my expectations. I'm tall (6'3) and ordered a 2X. Fits perfect with all the linings added. With everything out, it's slightly big for me, but I'm also a little on the skinny side. Overall, you will not find a better deal than this and you won't be disappointed.
I've had this jacket for a few weeks and have ridden through rain and fog and even 102 degree weather here in SoCal. It worked great with the liner in the rain and without in the heat. The extra padding in the jacket in addition to the CE armor is a nice touch. I ordered a large and the sleeves are a bit longer than the rest of my jackets, but with the velcro wrist straps, it's not a problem. This is my 5th motorcycle jacket and the first one from Leatherup and it's now my favorite for almost any riding conditions. Nice quality at an affordable price..
I am a really big guy and ordered a 3XL. With both additional liners it is pretty tight. I wish I'd have ordered a 4XL but for the money this is a lot of jacket. I have a great leather winter riding coat so with the mesh used on the outershell, this works well for summer riding and the waterproof liner will be nice when needed.
Great jacket for the money, ordered one size larger than what I normally wear and it fit a little snug with all the layers in it but it will work fine.Very speedy delivery also!
I am not sure what happened to my jacket but it must have been put together on a Friday. I have worn this jacket for two 1 week trips. I like the fact that it has all of the liners and it did keep me warm. The issues are the snaps. They have pulled out of the sleeves, where the liner snaps in near the neck and also where they snap in near the cuff of the sleeve. I know that it is an inexpensive jacket for most but I still think it should hold up longer than one ride. I will take it to a local alteration shop and see if they can fix it since it does do the job but I wont throw in the "This jacket is excellent for the money" schpeel...
Great price an a great all around jacket. The only thing that its missing is reflective piping.
I'm 6' 1" and weight about 250lbs. I normally wear a XL in a jacket and I used the provided measurements and according to them I should wear a XL with no problems. When the XL arrived it was skin tight even with the liners removed so I had to return it. I decided to replace it with a 3XL due to all the reviews saying the jacket runs small. The 3XL was the right fit for me. With or without the liners its a great fit. The more I wear it the more I love this jacket. There is plenty of air flow with the liners removed. The temperatures in my arena are still in the upper 70's in the morning and close to 90 in the heat of the day and the jacket is comfortable. At a light you're going to be a bit warm but quickly cool off once you get moving again. Seems to be a great jacket at a fair price.
I usually wear a 2XL and I ordered a 3XL since other reviews indicated the jacket runs small. The 3XL is almost too tight, so definitely consider ordering 1-2 sizes up. Jacket has nice feaures, especially for the price. I do have 2 complaints-the zipper on the inner liner seems a little flimsy and I need to be very careful when zipping it to make sure everything lines up and works. The other complaint is lack of wind resistance in the arms. I can feel the cold wind right through the jacket. My leather is definitely warmer, but then I paid much more for my leather jacket also. Overall, this is not a bad jacket for the price, but if you want a really warm jacket you should go with something else.
This jacket offers a lot for the price and the removable liners make it very versatile. Construction and materials are of high quality. I am 6' and 190 lbs and the large fit me perfectly. Would highly recommend this product.
I purchased this jacket around 2014. First let me say that I found the jacket to be true to size. I am 5'6 160 lbs. with a very athletic cut. I ordered a medium and it fit nice. For the price it is a decent jacket. However, I have found this to be a very cheap jacket. The sleeve snaps are sown into the mesh, therefore they rip out easily just from snapping and unsnapping them. Inside of the first year 3 snaps were gone on the sleeves. The jackets two liners in my opinion are cumbersome and don't fit together well. It is a nice looking jacket this is true. But I have found this to be a very cheaply made jacket and do not recommend it.
This jacket is perfect for summer riding, especially with the hot summer we've had here in the mountains of North Carolina. I like everything about it except the waist size runs smaller than the chart indicates. However, overall, I'm very happy with it.
I love this jacket! The jacket allows cool air in, without sacrificing safety. Even if you just want to get out of the sun on a hot day, these jackets are great! And, we rode them in cold weather with the insert attached, and they were nice. I still would wear a long sleeve t-shirt on a cool fall day, but no complaints. Comfort and fit are great!
My only issue would be the sizing. It does run a bit small, so order one size up. Unless you really like it snug. Other than that, this jacket is great!
Love the vest but it if you are heavy around the waist it wiil not fit. The quality as always is first class and delivery is fast.
Great vest but I wear a med and order a x-lg and it fits snug. I really like the feel and look but beware it runs VERY SMALL make sure you order it large, make that very large to make it fit. the gun pocket is very good weather you use the holster or just drop it in
Six months of ownership and it is starting to fall apart. The zipper on the left front pocket went first with the shuttle coming off of the track rendering the zipper permanently open. One of the plastic teeth had fallen off and that was that - I used that pocket maybe twice. Safety pin keeps it closed. Next the snap pulled through and fell completely off the "pistol" pocket. That pocket is on the inside of the jacket and so I did not sweat it too much - I think I opened that snap once before it broke. Next a snap on the sleeve fell off after washing the jacket for the first time, by itself, in the clothes washer. This snap is actually useful in fitting the jacket snug to the rider. I liked it so much when I got it - but after being worn perhaps 20 to 30 times, its falling apart. Bad fasteners. Look elsewhere.
love the feel of the leather. its thick, comfortable , roomy and i think a great deal for the price. i like the inside pockets not for guns for to carry my garage opener which come in very handy when i get home. all in all i love this vest so far
I priced a generic vest at D and B, was about $100 with tax and not near the quality. Just
ordered a jacket and vest for the girl friend. leatherup.com has my vote for price and
quality.
Great vest at great price! And the gun pocket makes it just that much cooler. Get it...you won't regret it.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
