Just got it. Looks good Fits good i was a little worried about it fitting. Im 6'1" 230 broad shoulders and it fits pretty good. The only thing is it will be hard to put my gloves over the sleeves. We will see how it holds up!
Great jacket! I am 188cm, 100kg and bought the 2XL Perfect fit. Great quality. I'm not sure about the armour under stress but it is certainly comfortable and well positioned. The only niggle for me was the removable liner zip came away on first test but LeatherUp customer service came up trumps and I still own the jacket. The vents are well placed and functional.
Really nice jacket. I'm 6'0" 215lbs. I normally fit into XL shirts, jackets, etc. However after reading the reviews for this jacket and after previously getting a 2XL vest from Leatherup, I ordered the 2XL and it fits perfect; with and without the liner. When I received it, I tried it on, then tried to remove the liner. As soon as I tried to unsnap the sleeve of the liner from the sleeve of the jacket, the extremely thin piece of leather they used to attach the snap to the inside of the jacket sleeve tore right off. I did not want to go thru the hassle of exchanging it only to receive an identical item with the identical problem, I decided to sew a piece of velcro to replace the snap. All is well now. The manufacturer should consider this simple and effective solution. Other than that small issue, it seems like a great jacket and a great deal.
I love this jacket! I got a size bigger than usual and Im glad I did! the extra long sleeves concerned me till I got on my bike and they were perfect once you grip your handlebars! Excellent and wind blockage! The vents are great. I did end up taking out the armor pads, not because they were a bother just my choice! over all a great jacket for the price!
I love my jacket.Fit perfect vents are great on hot days.I dont even wanna take it off even had sex with ol lady .Butt here it comes ... I also ordered a vest a day later same co.diff shipper The post office shipped faster ordered a day after n recieved a day before. So step up FedEx.
Jacket was more than I expected for the cost. The jacket is a heavy leather jacket which is what you need and want for riding, this is not a fashion jacket although it looks nice enough to be. It fits snug and comfortable and I imagine it will only get more comfortable with wear and conditioning. I'm 6'2" and 260 pounds. I bought a 2XL which fits great but would probably advise others of the same size to get a 3XL if they want a little more room to feel less restrictive. 5 STARS!!!!
Size XL: 6'2'' 240lb, big chest/shoulders & long arms. Fit is exceptional. Sleeves are long enough even running 16'' apes. Nice fit around torso, does not bunch/balloon out in riding/sitting position. Good weight/thickness. Liner & Armor easy in/out. Zippers good quality. Vents useful. Pockets adequate. Very happy with purchase.
Love this jacket! Im 6'1 (185cm) I also weigh 185lbs. I always have a hard time finding a jacket that fits right and has long enough arms for when i stretch for the handlebars. I measured myself just like in the picture with a tailors tape. The size chart is spot on perfect. I ordered a size medium. Now to the jacket itself. Great quality nice and heavy. The liner does not move when you pull your arms out or in. If you want to wear a hoodie or a heavier long sleeve you need to take liner out for sure. In the 15 years of riding has to be the best jacket i have had. And i didnt break the bank. Very happy
Great buy.. Very heavy with a zip out lining.. Used it for the first time yesterday in 55 degree weather and it was great.. Very well made and fit was perfect..
This is a great jacket for the price. The leather looks and feels good. I'm 6'2", 175 lbs and I ordered a large as all my other jackets are a large. It does fit but I could have fit in a medium size no problem maybe even a small. The arms are plenty long but it is large in the chest area. I bought this for cool weather riding so the extra room will allow me to layer up underneath. I just did not trust the chart showing a 49" chest as a large and a 46" chest as a small. Generally a 44" chest is a large and based on all my other jackets that's what I went with. Like I say the sleeves are very long. When I stand up the sleeves are down to my palm and when in riding position they still cover my wrist. So believe it or not the size chart is pretty much spot on. I would definitely order one size down from what you normally wear.
I love this jacket. It feels and looks great and after a few days of letting it air out. I was ready to roll. I feel so much safer when riding with this jacket. The vents on the jacket work well and you get nice airflow to your body. Highly recommend this product.
I'm 6'2" 220lbs, wear 44 chest shirts and 38 waist pants. Originally ordered a 2XL. It was too loose around my chest and waist. I exchanged it for an XL. It fits almost perfectly, still a little loose around the chest. But I feel a L will be too snug. I feel the sleeve is an inch too long, but perfect for the motorcycle. The jacket design itself is to fit short, so make sure that's what you're looking for.
The leather is THICK and heavy, feels like good quality. Zippers are top quality too. The mesh on the jacket lining gets stuck in the zipper when you are unzipping the quilt liner, watch out for that. The armor is great and doesn't look like its in there.
Overall for the price, you can't beat the value!
Jacket just arrived today, and I must say, I am astonished by the quality. If I didn't know any better, and someone were to ask me to estimate the price, I would say $400-$500. Of course the jacket has not been put through its paces yet, so these are just initial impressions based on feel, weight, and appearance. But this is one seriously sturdy and attractive garment.
As far as sizing, I'm going to go against the grain and say you should order it in whatever size you normally wear, and NOT one size up. To ensure I am dispensing accurate information, I measured and weighed myself this afternoon at 72.5" (184.15 cm) and 208 lbs (94.3 kg). I ordered this jacket in a Large and it fits like it was made for me. The body is almost a form fit, with a little room to grow, and the length extends about two inches below that area where your lower back stops and your butt begins. The sleeves hang to about the first joint of my thumb (the joint closest to the palm) and only ride up as high as my wrists when grasping my handlebars. Pretty much a perfect fit for a riding jacket. If I had went with an XL the sleeves would have been down to my fingers and the body of the jacket would have been far too baggy and long. Make your decision accordingly.
Bought this Jacket for my wife. Very sturdy yet leather is soft, like any leather it needs a little break in time. Fit was perfect as well. Zippers and hardware are solid. This is made to last!!! Xelement comes through again best made product for an awesome price!!! Service with leather up is top notch.
I can't believe I only paid $149 for this jacket. It's a perfect bike jacket and unbelievable value. Looks awesome and functions perfect. I'm 6"3 185 and the large is perfect. I'd recommend this jacket to anybody.
I did end up returning this jacket and went with a more colorful jacket, the purple is not real noticeable. It was a nice jacket just did not fit my preferences.
I am exceedingly happy with this jacket, especially for the price. I don't think you can find a comparable jacket anywhere for this price point. My most significant concern was fit. I'm 6' 0", 200 lbs, and muscular - 5x5 squat at 315, 1rm 335 on the bench, and I have a hard time finding clothing that fits my frame. I ultimately ordered a large after reading multiple reviews and disregarding the sizing chart, and I'm quite happy with the fit. It's not too tight in my chest, the sleeves are the right length, and it isn't too floppy in the belly area (I cinched down the snaps on the sides to keep it a little tighter there). It is a little tight in my biceps, but removing the thermal liner helped with this. The padding isn't super thick, so if you intend to replace the armor with something thicker, you might want to order a size up. Moving on, the pockets on the sides are a little difficult/cumbersome to use, but that's pretty trivial in my opinion. Some of the rivets that were used to make zipper pulls out of pieces of leather were crushed off-center and will need to be replaced - already had one zipper pull fall off. This isn't a big deal, rivet kits for leather are really cheap, and all the other hardware on the jacket looks pretty durable. I've used the vents a few times and they seem to do a decent job.
Overall I'm exceedingly happy with this jacket. I've been complemented by a stranger on it, I think it's well made, and I'd gladly buy it again.
This is a great jacket. The leather is just beautiful and really nice with the zip out liner. Could not beat the price!
Good quality over all. Fits well. Make sure you do not completely screw own the header bolts. All bolts need to be lose so that you can jimmy the two sections of the pipe together.
This Drift Black Leather Jacket was purchased for my daughter and she LOVES IT. The jacket is made of thick leather that is durable and yet fashionable. The purple accents were a concern during ordering, but are a perfect accent to the jacket and are not over or under stated. The fit was excellent. The quality of the sewing is excellent and the zippers are hardy. The jacket is a cool/cold weather jacket. The price was low compared to the product. We will continue to purchase from leather up.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
