I got these chaps a couple of weeks ago/ They fit nice and are warm but, after I tried them on and then tried to take them off to cut the legs to length the zipper got caught in the lining. After 20 minutes I was able to free the lining without ripping it. I cut the legs to length and when I tried them on again, the zipper for the right leg (the one the lining got caught in) was very hard to start. I took them off and tried a lube made for zippers but it is still very hard to zip after the first one or two inches. Since I cut the legs I figure I am stuck with them. I wouldn't buy these again because I'm constantly afraid the lining is going to get caught again.

I purchased these in April and wanted to wear them a while before reviewing them here. When I first received them, I could tell I had spent my money well. I am 5'10" 220 lbs and wear a 36 waist. I ordered these chaps in a 40 waist, and I'm glad I did. They are easily adjustable if you order them too big (which you need to do so they will fit over your pants properly). They have a lace on the back which allows you to bring them in about an inch if you re-lace it. I'm on the last belt hole, which is fine with me. I trimmed the legs to match my inseam and they look and feel like a custom-tailored set of leathers. The zippers are heavy duty and the leather quality is exceptional. I would recommend these to any biker looking for a good set of chaps. They have made riding on cool Appalachian mornings much more comfortable! Great job Leather Up!

JUST PURCHASED THESE AND HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO USE THEM YET AS OUR WEATHER HAS STILL BEEN PRETTY WARM. TRIED THEM ON AND THE FIT WAS PERFECT( I'M A BIG GUY WITH LARGE THIGHS AND THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM EVEN WITH A HEAVE PAIR OF JEANS ON.) BEING 6'3" TALL ..THERE WAS STILL AN AMPLE AMOUNT OF LENGTH TO THESE CHAPS AND I ENDED TRIMMING OFF ABOUT 2 INCHES FROM THE BOTTOM FOR A PERFECT FIT.

GREAT QUALITY AND VALUE FOR THE PRICE COMPARED TO OTHER CHAPS I WAS LOOKING AT WHICH WERE DOUBLE THE PRICE AND MORE!! LIKE THE EXPANDABLE PANEL IN THE FRONT AND THE ZIPPER ON THE BACK OF THE THIGH WHICH ALLOWS FOR MORE ADJUSTMENT.

GREAT PAIR OF CHAPS!! ( EVEN THOUGH THE BELT BUCKLE IS A LITTLE FLIMSY AND COULD USE AN UPGRADE TO A MORE STURDY ONE.. BUT OVERALL I GIVE THEM 5 STARS!!

Much like the Xelement vented cool rider leather jacket that I bought from LeatherUp, these lined chaps are every bit as good if not better than anything H-D sells for 3-4 times the money. The dual comfort feature of elasticized and zippered thigh portions of the chaps was the deal maker for me...as well as the astonishingly low price. Heavy weight leather, excellent fit and heavy duty zippers and snaps all make these chaps an excellent addition to my comfortable and protective gear. Way to go, LeatherUp!!

I purchased these in October. They are very warm to ride in and that's due to the lining in them. It says fully lined, but the lining only goes down to the zipper ending and where the snaps begin. They do it like this because you can trim the bottom of each leg to fit your inseam, if they lined it all the way down you would have to hem the bottom of each leg or the lining would fray and tear. Leather is not the easiest to sew and would be a pain to do. I used the measurement chart and it fit exaxctly perfect and after I trimmed each leg to my length - perfect! I'm 5'10" and 215, not real stout, and a 36" fit me perfect, especially in the legs. If I want it tighter, I zip up the back on the thigh and unzip it to loosen it up some. The leather is very soft, but tough, these should last me many years. Oh, and I've had no problem with the buckle. The zippers on each leg is very sturdy and strong - same with the snaps. They're not junky or flimsy crap. You won't be disappointed buying these, and the price is right as well! I used a coupon code when I bought these and that helped a bunch, basically got free shiping.
