I purchased this coat as a replacement for my worn out 8 year old textile cold weather riding jacket. I needed a decent all-weather riding jacket for a Fall season ride into Devils Tower and the Badlands.
In the past I've avoided leather riding apparel like the plague: too heavy, wrong color, bad night visibility, too many studs/trimmings, too open to the wind at neck and sleeves. Although this jacket is indeed heavy, it has none of the faults of the "traditional" leather motorcycle jackets.
The jacket zips fairly snug at the neck and the sleeves use snaps vice leather thongs or velcro. Zipped up snug, the collar behaves itself in the wind.
I completed my recent trip in near gale force winds, mid 30 degree temperatures and found the weather and warmth protection (complemented by quality sweatshirts underneath) entirely adequate for both sightseeing and interstate speeds.
If purchasers use this as a riding jacket, and live in a locale with only 3 season (Spring, Summer, Fall) riding weather, I would recommend purchasing one size up to permit comfortable layering. The sizing chart seems accurate.
As my purchase is so recent (30 days) I was reluctant to address the "durability" category, but I have worn it in warm, cold, wind and rain and it seems to take everything in stride.
The sewn-in logo's are excellent quality and I take great pride in advertising my 22 year naval career.
They are the most comfortable boots that i have ever bought without trying on first and the speed of delivery was excellent
These are the bars I was looking for. The price could not be beat and shipped very well. I am very pleased with the entire order.
At the price, these boots are a steal. It took about five minutes for the boots to break in and fit my feet perfectly in medium weight boot socks. Don't expect to take them on and off with just the zipper though. You have to loosen the laces as well.
I too bought a pair of these boots, and I have already received many favorable comments regarding how good they look. I am more impressed by their comfort. As one of the other reviewers stated, you do have to loosen the laces as well as unzip the zipper to take them off and put them on.
Great boot. Looks good, is comfortable to wear, easy on/off, and is durable enough for motorcycle riding.
I like these boots a lot. The only thing I would say is think about the size you get, b/c mine are about a quarter size bigger than my shoe size. It's not a problem, I just wear thicker socks and they fit perfect. Definitely a good buy, I'm very pleased.
Bought these boots and received within specified time frame, correct sizing and all. Upon first glance they seem to be good quality, sturdy yet relatively comfortable. Although price was amazing, it did increase significantly once freight ( - $37.00), taxes and customs ( - $26.00) were added for shipping to Montreal, Canada, however the total is still somewhat cheaper than most motorcycle boots sold at bike shops around here, so no complaints. A quick note about the damn zipper on the right side that keeps getting undone, and time will tell whether the dreaded yet too common "made in China" tag will reflect in craftsmanship. So far, good purchase.
This probably one of the best pair of boots that I have purchased
in a long time. They were confortable the firt time I put them on.
there was no breakin time at all thanks for making them available
for me to buy Great Boot.
These boots are great. Fit and finish are number one. I put them on and they were confortable right away. They are made with quality materials and I can't find any flaws in them. I recommend them to anyone. I could purchase 3 pairs of these boots for the price I paid for Red Wings.
Tough stuff, great looking, and at a great price. Much easier getting boots on and off using the zippers, in addition to the laces.
Great boots. I wear them all the time and it really cuts down on the wind on my ankles when riding. I wear them with boot socks and my feet stay warm even in 30 degree weather.
Great service and a great boot. Being inseam challenged,my primary motive was the tread design to add stability when stopped on my motorcycle. The leather is surprisingly soft and also have a high quality of construction.
Great boot for the price, comfortable right from the first time I put them on. Zipper is not much help, need to undo laces to get boot on and off. Only thing that is needed is a better insole, put in some after market insoles, now they are as comfortable as my old boots that lasted me over 10 years. Hopefully these last as long. They look good and give a great grip on sand and gravel, I would recommend them to anyone for riding.
Great boots. Absolutely no break in time was needed. Definatley have to unlace them to get them off but well worth the little bit of trouble for the quality and fit.
I normally wear cowboy boots or sandals, but these rival my best pair of cowboy boots. Love them!
I bought these boots for my husband. He had looked at a few places before I talked him into giving these a try. He says they are comfortable, his feet don't overheat, and he loves the side zip for easy on and off. I definitely recommend these boots.
boots are very confortable after only 1 -2 days. only conplant is you need to use zipper & laces
Very good boot. Quality construction, excellent, heavy leather. Somewhat water resistant. Fits well, no break-in needed. Order normal size, and unless you have bulky feet, there should be room for boot socks or winter socks to keep your tootsies toasty in the fall and winter. Replace the passable foam insert with a gel insert to absorb footpeg vibration.
Unzipping the boot allows you to pull your feet out by loosening, not undoing, the laces. Still need to untie and loosen the laces. Boots are warm in hot weather.
Got these boots instead of the Harley Casper boots due to the great price and good reviews.i was not sure what the quality would be but i decided to give them a shot anyway.after recieving them i could not believe the quality of this boot for the price, leather is soft and boots are comfortable.they fit perfectly.LOVE THE BOOTS!!!!!
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
