Great Jacket. Went down with 24 hours of getting it, and besides a small scratch...nothing happened to it. The protective padding also helped brace the fall.
Vents make it rideable during the summer. Highly recommended. If your a new rider, go leather. Worth the investment.
This is BY FAR the best value in a protective motorcycle jacket you can find. The leather is soft and thick the fit is great. I am 5'10" and weigh 170 I ordered a medium and it fits very nicely. I think in my case the small would have been too tight and I already have another armored jacket that is quite snug. This is perfect.
If this happens to be the 3rd or 4th page of reviews your reading, go ahead and stop...AND BUY THIS JACKET! After reading pages and pages of awesome reviews about the jacket I decided to pull the trigger. Now, this is the first motorcycle jacket I have purchased, but I can tell you that this will most likely be the best one I will ever purchase. Don't fall for the $350-$600 price tag you find when looking for other, more recognizable brands. Not only is this Xelement jacket priced brilliantly, but the quality is phenomenal (equally as good as jackets in the $400 price range I've tried on). I don't write a lot of reviews on my online purchases, in fact I could probably count them on my fingers, but this jacket AND company deserves it. The fit is true, the overall quality is great, and I plan on buying from LeatherUp many more times. PS: I wasn't kidding, but the jacket before they're gone!
Great jacket for the money. I'm 6'2" and 195 pounds, I bought an XL an it fits well however; the sleeve length could be about an inch or so longer.
This is a replacement for basically the same jacket I bought from LeatherUp.com back in 2009 that is starting to finally wear out. I Ride daily in all weathers, from pouring rain (Yes, it used to rain in Cali) to 105 temps (not that bad as long as your moving a little, getting air thru the vents) and can say I'm Very Satisfied with it. Hence, my replacing it with the same model. Excellent Back and Kidney protection, though I would have loved to seen the armor material type upgraded to the newest Level 3 stuff. Excellent Ventilation, perfect for the varied conditions I face on my daily commute, might be freezing in the morning and in the 90's in the afternoon, Plus during fun rides from the desert to the Mountains or coast. This jacket was just packed with all the features I wanted and I have never found any thing close cheaper then $179 out there. So get my whole hearted recommendation.
I bought being skeptical about the jacket....was I wrong. this jacket is beyond GREAT!! I wear a large and that is what I ordered. Fits like a glove. Padding is removable if you don't want it but, that's why I got it. Jacket is all black until light hits it. There is reflective piping on the back and front around the chest. If you're looking for a GREAT deal this is the coat for you. Would have been $300 at my local shops.
It is everything it says it is, I love it and it fit great right out of the box. The only thing I would have liked to see was more pockets lol, It was and is the best deal for a super quality jacket
I just received this jacket and it seems to be really great. unfortunately it does seem to run a bit small and i have to return it for a bigger size. I could zip it up but breathing would be at a minimum. it seems to be constructed really well and I love the look of it. It has all the armor/padding,vents and pockets that i will need. seems like a great jacket and I am really looking forward to getting the right sized one to know for sure.
This must be the best deal out there, unless of course you'd prefer used. I ordered a size smaller than usual, which was a mistake, because I had to return it for an exchange. I usually wear an XL. The XL is a little loose in the gut area, but perfect in the shoulders. The jacket is rugged and has several venting areas. I really like the zip out liner as well. It hasn't been cool enough to wear it yet, but I'm sure it will wear fine. Thank you.
Initial feedback: Quality feels great! Reaching to make adjustments (open vents) is easy to find without looking...zippers respond smoothly. The fit is perfect! Snug but comfortable and arm movement is not limited. All previous reviewers nailed it on the sizing. I'm 5'9", 170 32' waist, 43' chest and the large fits like is was custom made. So far great jacket!
Wonderful fitting and feeling jacket. The size is dead on, but if you want room for "layering-up" order a size bigger. The fit, the armor and the venting is everything i was hoping for when I ordered the jacket. The quality was higher, considering the price. The front pockets are somewhat awkward, but overall an excellent riding jacket.
This is a very high quality jacket, comparable to jackets costing 3 to 4 times more.I am 225,5'10" muscular build with a slight 58 year old belly, the xl fits like a glove, I almost exchanged it for a 2 x since I was planning on adding a layer under for colder riding, but kept it. For the price I will get a 2 or 3 x for that. The only thing I could knock is that it is more of a really dark brown instead of a true black. I ordered chaps that were a true black to compare and there is a slight difference in color, but for the price I paid for both, that is a non issue for me.
I would have loved to give this a higher mark but I purchased this outfit at the Beginning of March so I would have it for a ride I was doing in April.
Needless to say the second time I put the jacket on the pull tab for one of the sleeves breaks off and one of the pockets will no longer unzip.
When I contacted them about this they said they would pay part of a local repair but would not answer what part meant. I mean part could be anything from $1-???. So here I have a jacket that has only been worn twice with a broken pull tab and only 1 pocket I can access.
Oh well I guess you get what you pay for.
I purchase the helmet, It came in and fit perfect. My heated shield plug light would not illumilate, I called and Leather Up STEPPED UP and sent me a new one,When installing it the plastic shiel retaaailer clip broke, Again Leather Up STEPPED UP.. These people are a real joy to deal with and their customer support is PHENOMENAL...I will continue to buy from them and wish more companies treated their customers this way.
One Happy Michigan Snowmobiler!!!
Only have used helmet one weekend. Comfortable fit, I like the features, especially the open face for trailside gatherings, helmet and head stay warm! All at a great price.
I ordered this helmet due to I wear eyeglasses. I tried on helmets to size before ordering and this came in fitting great. The heated visor is a plus although I had to modify my snowmobile to accept an RCA plug into accessory, now runs off of sleds AC power instead of direct into battery. For value and pricing this is an excellent purchase as are all items from LeatherUp.com
This is a helmet for that "hard to fit" snowmobiler. It is extremely comfortable and accommodates prescription glasses. We rode in temperatures of -22 F last weekend with no fog ups. The red LED light on the helmet plug receptacle was very helpful to know it was indeed plugged in! You may need an adapter for a standard RCA power plug on your sled as the plastic/waterproof jacket does not match up to the helmet cord male plug end.
I was extremely pleased with the boots that I received. The quality and fit was perfect. Thanks very much!
I love my new Xelement Black Siren Strap Motorcycle Boots! They look and feel great. I've only worn them a few times but I can already tell that I'm going to really enjoy these boots.
Loved these boots! Got them because they didn't have laces and they are easy to just put on and go. I would recommend possibly going a tad smaller if you're feet are slim - i got 7.5, which is normally what i wear, but wish i may have gotten a 7. Regardless, even being slightly big, i wear thick socks and they feel great!
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
