The leather is very thin, and the snaps on the lower part of the legging are poorly applied. One of the snaps came off before we even unwrapped the chaps from the plastic. Still, I can fix them myself so it is not worth the trouble of returning them. They were a birthday gift for my husband from our daughter so we just fixed them up ourselves.
I ordered the 4's because 6's were out of stock, they fit perfectly!! Very happy with them.

I ordered these for my birthday but they arrived damaged. Customer service did their best but they were not able to get me a replacement in time, for that I was disappointed. I think the workman ship on the rivets around the holes where they lace in the back is a bit shoddy, but other than that they are ok. For the price the chaps are worth it. Only have worn once.

I took the advise from the previous reviews and ordered a size larger than I usually wear on my jeans and it turned out to be great advise. The entire product (chaps) are exactly as they are described (leather, lined, high quality zipper). I look forward to many years of use from these chaps. And I'll be back to buy some more as I need them. Great quality for the price!
These are nice and sturdy, as well as attractive. I needed super long length, so I just didn't cut them and they look great. Zippers are sturdy and the braid is nice.
I purchased these and they arrived the next day. In fact because they ship from southern California and i am northern California and order before 1 pm i get next day service, AWESOME!. I ordered according to my thigh measurement and they are still a little big which is OK since there is no elastic or anything to stretch except leather. I have not rode in them yet (to hot) but the quality is good and they are well made, the leather is not cheap so i am assuming they will last. I have bought other items and they are all so nice.

I followed everyone's advice and went with my thigh measurement. I measured 1/4" smaller than the thigh measurement for the 6 so I ordered a 6. They are too tight. The waist fits fine the leg is very snug. I tried them on with a pair of skinny jeans and they barely zipped. If I had on a pair of heavy denim jeans I wouldn't be able to zip them. I'm going to exchange them for an 8. I'd recommend you go up one size from what you measure.
I purchased one size up from my regular pants size. They fit perfectly with no trimming. I have not had the opportunity to wear them riding yet, but I am looking forward to them keeping me warm! They seem to be of very good quality leather, and the price was great.
Bought a Pair of these for my wife and the first go around was wrong size and that was my fault a male ordering for a female always bad. So I exchanged them and they are now perfect fit. works well for me - ordered 1 size bigger bec. I read on the comments it is running 1 size smaller than your normal size so order 1 size bigger. Keeps me warm on cold days....good quality of leather for the price!
LU service was excellent, as always. My wife loved her new chaps, except for one thing - they didn't fit. I measured a couple pairs of her jeans before ordering, and since the thighs were consistently 20" I ordered size 6 per the chart. turns out the chaps thighs were 2 inches too small! The chaps might stretch to 20 inches, but with jeans on I'm sure she needed at least 2, maybe three more inches. Other than the thighs, the waist and length would have been perfect.
So take heed - the thigh sizes listed are the extreme maximum with no room for clothing. We have sent them back for exchange for a different style and larger size.. I hope the next pair are the same quality as these were since my wife really like them.
I went with everyone's advice and ordered by my thigh size. I needed 30 inch, they are a little snug and because of the way I am built they do ride a little lower than my jean waistline. But they are still very comfortable. Unfortunately it has been too hot here in Michigan to wear them yet, But I am pretty confident I am going to be very happy when I do . I was also very happy with the shipping time. I went with standard mail, no express ship or anything fancy and they were here within 10 days.
