The liner did not fit properly in the front of the helmet making two pressure points .A couple minutes and a pair of scissors and a great fit. Very comfortable
Very pleased with the purchase, comfortable for longer rides, no pressure points irritating my forehead like some other helmets, and the flip down visor is a nice touch. Recommended!!
So far I like my Leather T-72 helmet. The first one I bought I went by the size chart (L) and when it came it was a shade to small, so I reordered the (XL) and it fits great. I like the leather look and the retractable sun shade. I will say the leather cover over the helmet will need to be treated carefully not to be cut or torn on something, but I do like the look and feel of this helmet. I have not seen anyone else with this kind of helmet so I would say if you want to be just a little different go with the Leather T-72. I have returned the (L) helmet but have not heard from Leather-up about my return yet, hopefully soon.
Bought this for my wife, who is two years into riding and just upgraded from her Vulcan 900 to a Vstar 1300. She loves the helmet, especially the weight. She previously wore a Scorpion and felt that it was a little heavy on longer rides. She also loves the leather wrapped look. Very Retro.
Excellent helmet. Immediately ordered a second one when the first one arrived. Size dimensions seem a little off, but I highly recommend this item. Matches my Road King leather. My rider friends love it.
I love the look of the helmet, old retro style. I ordered a large and it fits perfect even though the chart says I should have ordered a medium, so the size chart may be a little off. I like the visor, it comes in very handy when the sun makes a show, it seams difficult to use with gloved hands (but they are heavy winter gloves) , the visor doesn't seam to go over my glasses or goggles very well (it rubs on them) but if its sunny I take them off and just use the visor and it keeps the wind out of my eyes fine. Overall I am very satisfied.
I went by the size chart and it fit perfect. The smoke visor was a little difficult to drop down, but I added a drop of oil to the hinge and works perfectly now. Visor drops down to just above the nose and covers my glasses well. Of course, if the helmet is rocked back on the head or turned slightly, the visor moves out of a position, so it is a good reference to use to position the helmet on your head properly. The strap is a little too wide and stiff for the D buckle and I need two hands to pull it through. Perhaps it will loosen up with age. Delivery was as stated. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and value of this helmet and will certainly buy from Leatherup again.
Love the look and fit and the interior visor. Only problem is that when I try to lower the shield, a screw pops out on the outer visor. Lost three screws so far. I'm returning the helmet.
Please note, only the helmet is negative. I've always had top service from Leatherup, and I'm sure they will take care of my problem.
Nice looking helmet, visor works well and my size L fits nicely. Worth the money.
I have been riding since 1956; with helmet since 1959. Have had many helmets, all 'shorty' or 'half' helmets.
This one is the best. Good fit, good looks, and good price.
Not as good as the discontinued carbon fiber, but well worth the price, it has a tad bit of "mushroom" look which the carbon helmet did not have.
I like the fit of the helmet and the drop down visor. Definitely worth the money and I would not hesitate to purchase another.
Great helmet for the price! Nice leather. Fit is good per the chart. Comfy but you will get lots of wind in the eyes even with visor down and wearing glasses. Wearing sunglasses plus the visor is double dark and no good, vision will be impaired and would not recommend. The strap has a red colored buckle snap which can be tricky to snap because you cannot look at it unless in your mirror. Overall, no big issues, nice helmet.
I got this helmet for my wife it matches mine . It looks good fits good good price and added visor works cause my wife wears glasses. Ron A from PA.
Beware !!! The discription is a bit misleading. The Dual-Visor does not mean that there are two drop down visors, one clear and one tinted. There is only one drop down visor that is tinted that could make night riding a bit dark. The dual that they refer to is a removable bolted visor which I call a sun shade like the bill of a cap.
This is not a high speed helmet but is good for around town in the day time.
Well made, good fit, love this helmet . Would be better with a quick release strap.
Thought this was a flat black helmet... But the leather is a good look and I love it. No problems at high speed, I purchased a quick release setup for it. All around A helmet. True to size and comfortable. The drop down visor is an awesome feature as well... Best half helmet I have ever owned. Thanks Leather up....
It is my go to helmet. It's simple design and flip down sun shield makes it the perfect addition to my helmets.
Make sure you measure your head and order from their sizing chart. I did and the helmet fit perfect. Really like the leather covering but disliked the strap so I bought a universal snap kit and sewed the excess chin strap so no flapping in the wind. All in all a good product for the price, LeatherUp.com did it again and I'll order more from them.
Overall a good helmet, fit is not exact for me but it not too bad. I'm between sizes so I went one size up and it's a little big, lifts up at around 70. The smoked visor sucks, it channels the air when you ride directly into your eyes, better to ride without it. So if the visor is a selling point for you, don't buy. It bigger than expected, it's dot approved so the padding is around 1" thick making the overall size larger than expected.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
