A really terrific helmet for the money. Lots of great features and a comfortable, secure fit. It is sweet looking and after just doing a 1000 mile trip with it I can say it passed all tests with flying colors. My only complaint would be the clarity of the tinted visor. It is a bit distorted. That being said, all else is super nice. Leather Up is a great company with products that reflect excellent value. I have always been happy with my purchases.

This is my second Hawk modular helmet. This one fits tighter than the previous one. I use it in off road desert riding and the flip up front is very handy when I stop because I am able to get a drink of water without taking my helmet off each time. The finish is good, good padding, effective vents. Very good price for the quality. I don't use the dark sunglass visor because it interferes with my glasses. I would recommend this helmet

This is my second Hawk helmet. After the company stood behind its product recall and fully refunded the cost of my previous Hawk helmet, I couldn't help but purchase another. The cost of the helmet is very good considering the high quality. Other Chinese-made helmets do not have the fit and finish of Hawk helmets. The modular design is hard to beat. One problem I've always had with helmets is the ability to comfortably wear glasses. First, with the built in shade, you don't need to wear sunglasses. Secondly, if you do have to wear glasses the ample room around the ears makes wearing spectacles reasonable. The airflow through this helmet is amazingly good. So much so, that it actually doesn't provide much protection against the cold. Even with the vents shut, my ears got cold on a <40'F morning. On the positive side, the benefit of good airflow is reduced fogging. The wind noise is not unreasonable for a modular helmet. One feature that I miss on this helmet is the easy on/off clasp on the previous model. This model has a tried-and-true d-ring closure. The fit is accurate as well. The overall shape is very round, necessitated by the full opening of the modular design. I'm not sure how often I'll use the helmet as a 3/4, which is specifically discouraged in the enclosed directions. I only wish it was available in white when I purchased mine. I would certainly recommend this as a good purchase.

Just purchased my second one of these. The previous one held up well I thought. It suffered a breakage of a a small plastic clip early on but was still fully functional and after 2 years and well over 7000 miles of scooter riding it started to have some liner separation issues. Got rid of that one when I sold the scooter. New bike - new helmet. The size once again fit well and I noticed a few improvements from the old one, most notably the quick release chin strap. Still easy to open and close and adjust with the gloves on. I'll likely be looking to see if it is still in production at this price when I need another.

Well made, fits exactly like my previous Hawk helmet. Cheek pads are very tight, but I believe they will compress with use and fit will be perfect. One complaint - the description and videos tout the fact that you can ride with the chin bar flipped to the back, but the tag shipped with the helmet states in plain chinglish "Attention: The helmets must be used with the chin guard closed. Not very reassuring. Still a nice helmet for the money.

OK this is my third order for this helmet. I would really like one in a carbon fiber composite but I can't find a modular helmet that goes all the way back in carbon fiber. The 1st one I ordered had the lens vibrate and break on one side while I was on a long trip, so I had to break it off completely and then water got in so I could not ride in the rain. I almost always ride with the chin bar all the way back, only put it down for interstate riding, so I'm sure this leads to a lot of vibration. But this is why I love this helmet.

the 2nd helmet I ordered is a bit stiff on the locking. It wont lock right away at sliding down, I have to reach in with my left hand to make sure it's latched. probably a good idea to do anyway, but I almost returned it, except I needed a helmet due to the visor issue (see above)

the Fit is a bit tight for an XL, the sena speakers are really tight on my ears and require a lot of adjusting. My next helmet is going to be a XXL, since at bike week all the other helmets I tried were 2X and fit well. At 85mph its a bit noisy and I have to blast the stereo, but I suspect every helmet would be the same.

The Visor is OK for overhead sun, but not dark enough for direct sun in your face (rising/setting sun) for that you need some extra shades, and if you wear extra shades you may want to go a size larger since the frames press into your head and can be uncomfortable..unless you wear goggles... in which case they're fine.

I just wish they made it with a stronger/lighter material like carbon fiber. Shoei makes one but the Neotec doesn't go all the way back...oh and its 600 dollars.
