Number 1: You get so much engineering and function for the money. The pictures on leather up do not show the full functionality of this helmet nor what you get. Do yourself a favor and look the helmet up to see the full pictures and functionality. For example the helmet will arrive with a full face shield attached, not the visor. The visor is included if you like to ride without the face shield.
Number 2. This is a high gloss black helmet with the black chrome S logo on the front. The pic makes this look matte black, but it is not. It is high gloss black which is what I was hoping for.
With all of that said, the helmet fit and finish is just fantastic. The lining is incredibly comfortable and there is no break in required. The helmet sizing guide is perfect. No second guessing. Measure your head and go with the size they recommend. The cheek/ear pads is the best design I have ever felt. I wear glasses and the helmet is without a doubt glasses/ear friendly. No pressure points. The emergency cheek release pulls are just an incredibly nice feature that shows Scorpions efforts to provide outstanding safety features to its customers at a modest price point. I saw a few people complain about the sun visor, mine is working perfectly. I tried all three different settings and found the default setting to be the best. No need to change or adjust the setting for me.
Overall I am incredibly happy with the quality of the helmet.
Now . . . onto leather up . . . like many orders, this order was stalled due to being out of stock. This is kind of a regular occurrence and can become frustrating. The products leather up offers are fantastic. The value is often even better. Inventory management, order processing and shipping methods need to be improved. I am a long time customer and hooked on the quality of their products for the price, but if this was my first purchase, I would not come back. Also, sick of the coupon code they send me claiming 15% off my next order that never works . . . always only gives 10% off.
