Very happy with the gloves. Nice summer glove at a nice price!
I should've ordered 2xl but thats my fault. The xl fit just a little tight but I think with more use they'll stretch some.Price and quality rate highly.People complaining of the dye coming off need to realize EVERY new black leather gloves do this until a little wear and tear are accumulated..
Gloves work well. My measurement was right on the edge of L and XL and vied for the L size. I'd rather have a tight fit than any looseness.
I purchased these gloves a couple weeks ago. Initial opinion upon first viewing is that they are good quality and fit exactly per sizing chart. Very happy. After a couple weeks of continued use, they are holding up well. In the warmer weather my hands do not seem to get too hot and sweat alot. They breathe very well while rding. I do not think they will keep your hands warm on colder days when temps get below 60 degrees. But overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and when these wear out, I will purchase these same gloves again.
I have not used the gloves a great deal but have found them to be decent quality for the low price. The seams in the fingers are a bit uncomfortable but I am getting used to it as the are getting worn in. I normally wear an X Large but ordered a XX Large and found them to be just slightly big, but the X Large would have been too small. The elastic band at the wrist is slightly tight and I found the velcro closure seems to serve no purpose. But as I said, for the money they are a decent glove.
I have worn this new jacket several times now during temperatures in the 30's and it has worked well. The only negative is that I don't get any heat in the sleeves, just the main body portion so I wear a long sleeve t shirt for extra warmth on the arms. The fit is about what I expected and the look and design are great. I wanted a coat that was truly a year round jacket that could be opened up in the summer and plugged in for the winter without extra vests, wires etc. Living where I do in the northwest, I can start out in the warm flatland with the jacket vents opened and then hit the high mountains with drastically lower temps and just plug it in a stay warm. So far so good. Love it.
This is an excellent jacket for the price, but with one flaw.
Mesh material is MUCH better than Leather Ups basic jacket, which I also have. Fit and finish are quite good. Pant zipper is reversed from my pants, but I've seen that in other jackets. The shell has no interior pockets, which is a minor problem, but it has 2 decent sized exterior ones
The wind/rain liner is well done, zips and snaps in. a little hard to get your arms out, but more on that in a moment. It has a couple of decent pockets for phones, etc.
The warmth liner also zips and snaps in but is just a vest.
As with seemingly all Leather Up jackets, it runs quite small. I normally wear a large, and the XL is about right.
And the flaw...The forearms are VERY tight. VERY VERY tight. I get it, it's to keep the armor in place, but even with only the wind insert in, my forearms are really squished, and I'm not Popeye by any stretch. No way I could wear a sweatshirt and get it on, and it's very difficult to extract my arms without pulling the wind liner sleeves out, which gets messy because they too, are snapped in. Normally that would be a good thing.
So all in all, it's a nice Summer jacket, which is why I got it. Maybe the forearms will stretch
if your wanting a heated jacket, look at something different, over all the jacket is very well construed and fits nice, i'm a large in most things but a small fit perfect, however i get zero heat out of the jacket, i ride in 38-42 degrees quite often and can't tell the difference between it being plugged in or not,, i'm 5'8" 170 pounds , it has a low med high switch, very difficult to sense the clicks rolling down the road at freeway speeds with gloves on, if your looking for a nice jacket with armor its a get it, just don't put any merit in the heating capabilities your be disappointed...
Haven't used the jacket yet, too cold and rainy here. Tried it on and seems to fit well, I wear a large size. With all the perforated areas I'm sure that the jacket will do well on hot days. With the two liners, rain and quilted, it will make for a good three season garment. The liners have many points of attachment and are time consuming affairs but they keep everything in place. So far I like what I see.
I just purchased this jacket and have road tested it one time. I live in a hot climate and with the inner liners removed enough air moved through the mesh to prevent getting too hot. I purchased an XL, most shirts and jackets in this size fit me well, but this jacket is snug, especially in the arms and waist. The protective armor takes some getting used to, not exactly comfortable at first, but when everything found its way in place it was manageable. The high viz is high viz. All things considered I would recommend this jacket.
Great Jacket! The fit was spot on with the sizing chart. Everything works as expected, really keeps you protected and cool. I spent 8 hours in it in 80 degree temps was really good while moving and not too bad while stuck in traffic. Haven't had a rain day yet so I don't know how the liner works. Don't plan on testing the armor but it fits well and isn't too stiff. As for the snaps and zippers. they are a little problematic if you try to rush, but just as challenging as any of the other jackets out there.
I ordered this jacket and it had a broken zipper. Leather up took care of the problem very well. The jacket was a little large also and they sent me the replacement in the size I needed. The jacket is fabulous. Removing the liners allows the air to flow through very well.
After shredding my forearm for the second time finally investing in hot weather riding gear. keeps cool in 98 degree (107 Heat Index).I ordered the XXL and it is pretty big. Already had Rain suit and Colder weather jacket so the liners will probably never be worn.
The fit and finish is great. Fast service by Leatherup.
Good for hot summer days, fit seems a little off, and make sure you try it on before you remove any stickers or tags and you can NOT take a ride with it or you can't return it.
My wife and purchased 2 of these jackets and we received them the day before our ride to La Veta Co. we road thru a heavy rain on the way over there and we stayed dry and warm. when the rain quit and the temps got to 92 we took the liners out and stayed cool and comfortable with the outer mess. The protection pads in the arms, shoulders and back did not hamper our movements and made us feel better protected. the only thing i found tight was in the forearm area. i had it adjusted all the way out and it still felt a little tight. other than that we are very pleased with the product. thanks for a good price and a good product.
Love my new vest; fits perfect and is not as hot as my leather vests. Cool temp is a big factor in Arizona!
First ride yesterday with this jacket. It was over 80F and I was very comfortable as there was plenty of ventilation. It certainly improves your visibility. I used the size chart and the fit was just fine. I would recommend this jacket.
An excellent jacket, light enough for summer riding here in soouthern Arizona but rugged enough to get the job done. Zippers, pockets and armor are all top quality. Fit and finish are first class and it is very comfortable. I have riddden in temps ranging from 54 {with a longsleeve tee shirt under} to 104 {the evap vest helped a lot} but for most riding between 65 and 95 just gthe jacket is fine. Hard to find a higher vis jacket than this one. For $84 delivered to my door in 3 days this one ixs a winner!
Looks and fit out of the box was AWESOME!!! Great price and the boots were delivered ahead of schedule!! Look to do more business with LeatherUp...
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
