Bags needed a support under them that was not offered, had to make one for each side. Otherwise, great birthday gift to my son.
The saddlebags are very nice, but when it says the length is 17" it is more like 19" because of the rear pocket. Will not work on a Honda Shadow Spirit VT1100 even with a turn signal relocation kit. Other than that they are very nice bags and would recommend them.

Bought these Bags and waited three months to review because i wanted to judge how they held up after a summer of ridding. So here is the Good and bad. The bags are sturdy and hang well from the bike, the Velcro side pockets are awesome and it generally stays dry while moving. HOWever! in the last few months I have noticed that many of the "chrome" rivets have began to rust and last night one of the plastic "clips" that secures the bag closed just shattered in my hand. The right hand side bag sits about 2 inches above the exhaust pipe and sadly it was not enough to deform the underside of the bag. No leaking but not what i figured would happen. These bags would be 5 star if the rivets did not rust and the plastic clips were made of stringer stuff. The ,elted underside of the bag may be my fault as two ful inches may not be enough with a PVC bag. Overall, I plan to replace these with something better.
These saddlebags are a nice addition to my bike but the title is very misleading. These saddlebags are not waterproof. The rain drenched everything in my bags over the weekend. What a mess.
Very satisfied, very roomy and looks good on my 05 xl1200 c Sporty. My rateing is on the product and Leatherup.com only. I am a little unhappy with fedex on shipping, my bags sat in Bloomington Ca for several days before finally being sent to me.
Bought these saddlebags for my yamaha vstar 650. I'll need to relocate my taillights but I really like these bags. They are large bags and think will be great for weekend trips. Seem well made but will see how they hold up this season.
I absolutely love these bags! They made my bike's looks also. They're well worth the price and although I've seen other reviews, that state -they might collect water- why would you subject your nice bike to rain anyway, without covering things like this? In my opinion, these are great bags, constructed well and well worth the price! I love them, thank you Leather Up!
I'm very impressed! This is my first order from leatherup.com. I am very impressed with the quality of the saddle bags. For the price I expected them to be a cheap set of saddle bags -- This company went above and beyond. They added all the little extras that they could think of to make these bags last for a long time. I have not run across a company that I was this pleased with in a long time. Bags looked and installed great. However, they do not fit on my 2007 Shadow Aero with out moving the Turn Signals. Returned to LeatherUp and awaiting my store credit to buy something different. Also, the zipper for removing the bags is hard to use, though I'm sure with more use the PVC would loosen up to make it easier. So far, LeatherUp has been a dream to work with. I'll post more if there are any issues.
I bought these bags for my 2002 Dyna super glide. Like everyone has stated they are bigger then they look, very roomy, made of very good quality. One fact I would like to point out is that they have reflective bands around the bottom edges of the pockets, and around the lids of the bags. A very nice safety feature ! I took a picture of my bike and when the flash hit the bags they lit up very nicely I was very impressed.
Had a terrible time finding products for my HD Rocker C, had a stainless steel rack made for my rear fender, after numerous trys through other companies, my wife found these bags. When I received them, I couldn't believe the quality or price. I've shown these to a number of my friends and they were all amazed at the quality. They fit right over the brake lights, didn't have to move them at all. Bags are very spacious and easy to open. If you have a Rocker C, these are the bags for you.
Bag looks nice, Bag is bigger than expected but fits on my Stryker Add 2 inches for pouch in back need more rope to fix on hangers to mount. Well worth under 90$ for Bag Thanks
The bags are very nice and large. They fit my 92 Yamaha Virago great, but I had to return them. They are not waterproof as advertised. Everything in the bags that was not in plastic was soaking wet and I mean wringing wet. The bags held water like a sponge. When taken off my bike to send back, water ran out of them. If you live in an area that does not rain, then these bags will work for you.
Great price and look. Only problem I had was I should have replac3d the old brackets to ensure more clearance over pipes. Ihad to tie bags off in a different location. I have already recommended this item to friends.
Awesome set of bags for the price! as most reviews have said very roomy and big! Only down side for me is they are a little too big for my HD 1200C (i believe they get in the way of the passenger seating ... good thing they zip right off). Once I had saddlebag supports installed they sat perfect and away from the exhaust.
As for waterproofing, the main compartment stays dry, but the side pockets do let moisture in so don't keep anything to valuable in them.
Overall I am very pleased to have these at the stellar price under $100.
Glad I read Reviews before purchasing because it was the best purchase ever. The bags are bigger tha they appear, as soon as they were put on my bike and road...I've received quite a few compliments and they couldn't believe the price I paid for them. Love the room and extra pockets, you can't go wrong with this purchase!
If you live in a dry area these bags are wonderful.
Absolutely not waterproof. My school books, binder, and clothes were soaked in the bottom couple of inches after an hour ride.
Other than that, the construction is durable, real leather, the pocket velcro is great, and the top seal is fine. Water only soaked in through the bottom where either the seams were poor or the heat resistant material is significantly less waterproof than the leather itself.
2 Stars because I live in the PNW and specifically needed waterproof bags. If they had kept the water out 5 stars no question.

These are great for my 1100 Virago. They are sturdy and well made. The only issue is the bag opens up into my tail lights. They are a little bigger then expected but they look great. The material is fairly soft so I can still manage to get items in and out plus it has the quick release snaps that make them great for short trips.
I haven't tried them in the rain yet so my fingers are crossed they work well.
