I always wanted another pair of engineer boots since my first and last pair in 1973 when I was 13. I bought these and am extremely satisfied.They're basic with no liner on the inside of the shaft, but they are built well using very good leather! I made the mistake on my first order thinking I needed to order a size up. They were too big. I measure 11 in shoe size and ordered a 12. When the exchange came in 11 they fit perfect. I can till wear thicker socks too if I choose to. LeatherUp made the return/exchange process easy and their shipping is lightning fast. I had to communicate with customer service a couple different times and the rep Frankie made sure everything was to my satisfaction. He kept me posted on the process. Great job LeatherUp! I got these boots in 10EE and the fit was perfect. I like the strap across the top of your foot. I had to loosen one hole for the right foot, but left my left foot strap in the last hole. They are easy to put on and take off with no looseness when walking. Had to get use to the position of the heel and the round toe when shifting the bike. Have the foot forward position ,so no problem. Can't hardly believe the quality you get for the money. No problems at all dealing with LeatherUp.

I am a rider [and/or a Marine] back to the late 60's. I've owned boots. First thing I noticed upon handling is the quality leather feeling. My previous boots did not have such a fine, even lush feel on the outside. Putting them on I was able to feel that thicker socks would be a good idea until these are broken in - or perhaps two pairs of socks. I bought some fine wooden show horns and stuff them into the boots right away - so they will round the corners off on the inside of the boot - on both sides of my feet. Leather can be fine but still needs to be manhandled [and babied with polish] until they form fit your feet.

heavy duty vest. the quality of the leather is boss. air tight. snug when zippered up. hangs well, open while carrying. nice tailoring.

however ...

the 4 small outer pockets are useless. the snaps and zippers open up a hole 2 and 3 fingers x 1 knuckle 2. barely get a pack of smokes in the largest. decorative only.

the zipper on the large outer pockets, zip the wrong way. they open way back on the top and when you put your hand in it, it unzips and the whole flap gapes open. great size, just flubbed up.

yes it has wing tips on the shoulders. an alteration will correct, as will reversing the outer hand pocket zippers. alteration cost $50 ... well worth it! because the end result is one bad $#*! looking, well fitting, functional vest ready to be patched. final price $129 $50 = $179.00.

Very nice jacket for the price. The only problem is with the length of the sleeves, they should be about 1 inch longer. I'm 5'11" 205 and the jacket fits nicely and has adjustments on the side. I live in Florida and considering how warm.....ok.....HOT it gets here, the design allows a lot of wind to go through the jacket while moving, keeping you cool and protected. It gets a little warm when your stopped, but if you can handle a traffic light, this is the jacket for you. The construction of the jacket is very good. I would recommend this to a friend or family member.

Nice well-made vest at the kind of reasonable price that keeps me coming back to LeatherUp. The one thing I'm not crazy about is the turn-up at the end of the shoulders (only slightly noticeable in the web picture)....I realize that they are cut to provide for good movement of your arms if you have ape handlebars, etc. but the turned-up edges are a lot more noticeable than they show in the picture...gives a kind of Ming the Merciless appearance...at least on mine.

I'm rating this five stars for construction, visibility, and ventilation.

I took a chance and ordered this jacket with one part of the description saying it was yellow, which I wanted, and the other saying it was "pale green/silver mesh," which I didn't. It is bright yellow (and black)! Visibility to car drivers should be excellent. Construction looks robust. Contrary to the description, there is no chest adjustment. I'd been wondering how that would be done, given the pictures not showing anything.

These things run seriously small. I almost ordered a Medium and I would have had to send it back. I'm 5'10" and 174 lbs. and my Large has no extra room under it, which is probably good for holding the armor in the right places in an accident. I know this jacket is for hot weather, but it would probably be tight with a thick sweater under it. A shirt under it fits fine. Shirts that are 30-34 sleeve length have more arm length than this jacket. Reaching for something out in front of me with elbow straight makes the end of the jacket's sleeve ride up on my arm from my wrist about two inches, while the sleeve of the 30-34 shirt would still be touching it. I'd say the sleeve length of my Large is perfect to a touch short, but I suppose that could be good for letting in air.

This jacket is a touch shorter than average. I measured the bottom of the front of it at seven inches below my belly button.

I haven't worn it on a ride yet, but you can see lots of light through the two layers of mesh, so I expect it will be a lot cooler than my solid, armored jacket. I'll review the coolness of it after I wear it a few times.

I bought this for those few days that are to hot for the regular armored jacket (I tend to be somewhat cold blooded) and it works great. For me, the fit was perfect ( I tend to be on the small side of a medium), and the quality was very high. All of the zippers, snaps, and Velcro closures and adjusters seem very robust. The mesh seems to breath very well, and the armor fits comfortably around the elbows and shoulders. For sixty bucks, this is very hard to beat!
