LeatherUp,
What a awesome jacket. Spot on fit , Alot of compliments, and great advice to go from the XL to the 2X Due to the armor.A perfect fit.
A great looking jacket, for a great looking price. Skip, from Maryland.
Ps. I'll be back LeathetUp ! :)
Just got the jacket. I'm 5'10 180 lbs. 42inch chest. The large fits like a dream even with a thick sweat shirt. Super qualitty. Just gotta say I'm super stoked!! Stylish too. Thanks for a great jacket at a great price!!! Leather up has my business for sure! Not sure about the durability, the leather seems thick, and the zippers are all metal, I'm sure it'll hold up. The only thing I would ask for is more inside pockets. Overall great jacket!
This jacket feels like I'm wearing armor. I first purchased a Large and had to return for a XXL, so if you are on the heavier side of the scale be advised. I am really impressed with the quality and price, you cant find a better deal in my opinion. Thanks LeatherUp!
This is a serious jacket, nice thick leather that broke in surprisingly quick. I definitely feel well protected wearing it. The only downside is that the chemicals they use to either tan, or preserve the leather smells like rotten fish. So expect to air the jacket out before wearing around people. As for fit, I am 6' 4" 190 lbs and the XL fits perfectly.
Jacket fits a little snug as it should - I was involved in a almost fatal accident 9/2014 with wife on board my Harley (Hit by a car traveling 60 mph) on the road and I was wearing this jacket only injury up top was a broken shoulder on the side I was hit - the jacket protected my whole upper body from any broken ribs, chest breaks, arms or other pucntures outside the shoulder injury on the side strucked by the car!! Just purchased another back out there!! Thanks Xelement!!!
I am very pleased with this purchase and this product overall. I'm a big guy 6 2 typically wear 2x in most clothes & jackets. This does run a little on the shorter side and the waistband happens to be a little higher than I would typically wear, but other than it running slightly small I'm extremely happy with the quality comfort and fit of the 5x. Not sure you'll find as sharp looking and feature full motorcycle jacket for this price.
I'm 5'10" 185 lbs with no belly and measured for a Medium. I ordered a Large and it fits well in the torso and back but is short in the sleeves. Too short to wear on my bike so I returned it. If the sleeves were longer and were not so wide in the opening around your wrist I would have kept the jacket. I even took out the armor and liner to see if it would allow the sleeves to come down lower when on my bike but it didn't help. It is a great jacket if you don't have long arms.
A pretty nice jacket for the price, and the leather and zippers appear to be reasonable quality items... BUT...I have a few issues. It came with a small tear in the leather on the right arm near the elbow. Not worth paying to return for a replacement but a bummer none the less on a new jacket. The sleeves are a bit short for me and if I went from a L to an XL to get longer sleeves I'm sure the body would be way too big for my 5'11" 175 pound build since it's already a bit big in the belly. Lastly I feel the arm zippers are on the wrong side of the sleeve. When in riding position the zipper pull is lying on the back of my hand instead of being underneath on the inside of my wrist like every other jacket I've had. Also the sleeves are so large at the opening that even when zipped closed I can easily pull my hand thru. I would prefer it fit a bit tighter at the wrist. My gauntlet gloves barely go over the sleeves and without gauntlets the wind would be blowing right up the sleeve.
I have had this jacket for a few months now and have used it in temps in the 40s to 80s. It is a heavy, well made jacket and keeps you warm on cold rides and can be vented to keep you reasonably cool on warm days. The liner is easily removable for warm weather. I hope I never have to test the armor but feel better about riding with it on. As for durability a few months is not enough time. I have a traditional motorcycle jacket still in good shape from the 70s that my grandfather gave me. So if taken care of a good leather jacket should last decades. I would recommend this jacket to a friend.
Another Happy customer!!!! Just got my Executioner jacket today!! As soon as i opened the box, my breath was taken away.... Bad $#*! is an understatement!!!! Looks awesome and Fits like a glove!!!!
Was definitely skeptical on the jacket fitting correctly, but after looking at other reviews, and deciding on going a size up on my normal size..... Was not disappointed in any aspect!!! I'm 6' 5" and 180 pounds, and is my Best Leather jacket to date!!!!! Fits perfect and looks and feels Awesome On!!!!
Way to Go LEATHER Up!!! And hats off to Xelement!!!
Will definitely be back, and i Highly recommend Leather Up!!!!
AWESOME Jacket AND super quick delivery - even during the Holidays!! I live in the SF Bay Area, and even ordering it on Saturday morning, it was here on Monday!!
I have yet to try this jacket on a ride (bad weather lately!), but the quality of the leather and fit are excellent. I'm 5'7" with a 40" chest athletic built (meaning no beer belly!), and depending on what I buy and which brand it is from I normally buy a large... For this jacket I order the MEDIUM. It is a little roomy with just a T-shirt under it, but my plan was to wear it in the colder days with a sweatshirt/hoodie underneath it - PERFECT FIT! Can't wait for a better/dry day so I can try it out on a ride.
Hope this review helps some of you out there.
Ride safely!
P.S.: Since I just got this jacket, I obviously can't speak for durability, but the initial impression it seems it is build with good/quality materials and I'm betting it will last a very long time!
Xelement clothing tends to run on the small side. With that in mind I placed my order for a 2XL and it fits my 6 fooot 200 lb frame just fine. Jacket is well make and should serve me well for many years. Thank you.
Size fits true. No need to order up at all. The Jacket is a bit stiff at first due to the armor but once this gets worked in its not to bad. The vents on this are great, air flows in and out well. The removable lining is not going to help with warmth however... its the most thin vest zip in lining ever. Just wear a heavier shirt under if you need more warmth. Solid buy for the Price
My first motorcycle jacket and I went with this one based on the reviews, its looks, style, pockets and protection. I am a stocky 5'6" 195lbs, 46" chest, 36" waist. Went with the XL. Slight tightness in the elbows but I expect that can loosen a little. Otherwise, waist and torso fit are perfect. As others have stated, feel I got a lot for the price and am secure with the protection this jacket provides. Have ridden in 30 degrees and was warm.
This is a heavy & hot jacket. Even with the liner out. Speaking of which, the FIRST time i removed the liner, the snap at the wrist came off. I sewed it back on along with the other side just to be sure. Armour in all the right places. keep in mind, this stuff is all cheap, so little modifications will need to be made.
This jacket runs size or two smaller, so get a size or 2 bigger of what you normally wear. Im 6' 3" 235 lbs medium build, long arms and I went with XXL since chart indicated that the sleeves were same length from XL to 5XL. The jacket fits slightly tight on forearms and the neck area, which hopefully stretches because do not want to exchange for larger size. As the jacket goes, it is really nice and we'll made armored motorcycle leather jacket that you would expect pay at lot more. The sleeves feel short on my long arms especially when you lift your arms to hold the grips but gauntlet gloves should help make up the difference. It is well insulated to wear in 30 degree temperature with thermal shirt and even in 70 degree temperature without taking the liner off. Even though feels heavy and tight in few areas but it does also make you feel like you are wearing an armor and you well protected. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone, just take your time choosing right size.
I was wearing this jacket when I recently went down. It held up pretty well except for the vents. They got torn wide open. and exposed. I ended up with a rashed upper arm because of it and some stitches in my elbow.
Make sure you read reviews before ordering as Jacket is great but runs small in size. Ordered a Medium as that is the size my son usually wears, but when it came it was way too small across the upper back from shoulder to shoulder, wish they had that measurement in the diagram. The cost of shipping it back to leather up from N.J. was 38.00! Customer service was great and the exchange was processed quickly . Had to order him an extra large and it fit perfect and looks great!!
I have owned this jacket for a year now and I would definitely buy a second one. I am 5'11" / 180lbs with a fairly fit build and I bought the large. The torso is a perfect fit for me but I would prefer the arms maybe be 1-1.5" longer as to continue covering my wrists when my arms are outstretched to the bars. In fairness though, I will admit that I have added a sort of drag bar style handlebar that requires me to reach just a bit further forward then factory position intended. I also wish the collar strap was possibly adjustable instead of just a snap as I feel it is a little bit to snug for my comfort. Overall, this jacket is very thick, heavy duty and quality assembled. The zippers are thick and strong and the vents work pretty well for the warmer days. Mine was pretty stiff when I first got it but now is softening up nicely to a custom fit the more I wear it. I also get tons of compliments on the way it looks when wearing it. Great product Leather up! I love it and you can't beat the price!
Awesome jacket I am 5'6" 44" chest 32" waist, I got the Large and had to return for XL could not touch palms in front of myself with only a tank top on not even a shirt. Great quality jacket hopefully XL will let me wear hooded sweatshirt. Be wise on selection UPS charged me 37 to ship back for exchange should have just kept sold bought an XL for myself LOL.
Answer: Leather can be stretched some what if it's wet. But you should seek a professional cobbler to see if they can be stretched before you try it. Quite honestly you won't have much luck with customer service I found. They're very obnoxious, unhelpful and generally not pleasant to deal with. I wish you good luck
Answer: This is why Revzilla.com, denniskirk.com, and motorcyclesuperstore.com are so popular. I called each of these companies before and spoke to an actual person who had the product in their hands while talking with me.
Answer: You unfortunately made a bad choice doing business with this company. Go check their reviews. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'd be amazed if you get ANY response from them at all! Sorry to tell ya.
