My company was a Pro for LawnStarter andLawnStarter cheats the people who they have cutting your yard. If you are a Pro have you ever compared your payout, to the route that you write down everyday. Well I have and have found examples were after you leave a cut that the customers may go in and skip and they remove it off your calendar, or if you reschedule a property LawnStarter will reassign the property after you cut. Their policy you do not have to take pictures for all properties. However if you have a dispute they will ask you for pictures even if the property did not require it. Take pictures of all your properties include street number, address, 3 before and 3 after. Also, Pros if you don't write down your route you may want to start that way you have something to compare it to other than their calendar. Be fare warned if you dispute they may close your account!
Had it for a year it was good in the beginning but at the start of this year it was trash! Constant cancellations ppl not showing up and trying to charge outrageous prices. Then suddenly they cancelled my subscription abruptly because they claimed they couldn't find a crew in my area. Turns out it was the best thing for me. I went with Greenpal it was cheaper and they are way more professional and reliable! Good riddance!
I had scheduled an appointment on a Wednesday and was told that I'd be provided their services the following Friday or Monday. With both days passing I called and then was told unfortunately they didn't provide services to my area. Lawnstarter did not contact me in anyway to let me know they cancelled my appointment, I had to discover that by reaching out to the company. Therefore, my service experience was not a good one and I would not recommend this business, very unprofessional.
Worst company ever. Destroyed the lawn and will cost hundreds to repair. I have no choice but to take them to small claims. Customer service and supervisors lied several times over. Even tried to claim they stopped service in our area but 5 different people tried and somehow they were able to tell them they could provide service.

Good Service. They do a good job. I am happy with service and will continue to utilize them. Their prices are fair and they respond in a timely manner to messages.
We signed up with these snake-oil losers in mid-March. We live in northwest Fort Worth. To date, we've had almost three times as many cancellations, no-shows and re-schedules as we've had actual mowings. Forget complaining--you'll have better luck playing pickup sticks with your butt cheeks than you will getting a hold of anyone live and competent enough to help you at the LawnStarter control center or whatever mom's basement they're operating out of.
Bottom line is that we never knew WHEN our lawn was going to get mowed, IF it was going to get mowed, WHO was going to mow it, WHAT time it would get mowed and HOW well it would be mowed/trimmed/edged. All we DID know was that we were going to get overcharged for an underperforming result.
We ditched them today. Good riddance.
Company allows providers to rip off customers with something called "high grass fee". I switched my weekly lawn service to lawnstarter. Just had my lawn mowed the week before.
On their app it says you can choose when to mow, so I chose 2 weeks they came 6 days after the first mow and charged my card, entered in my backyard and everything. When I brought it to their attention they said I don't get a choice! What! Never apologized, didn't offer a discount and kept my money. Don't use them!
This is the worst customer service I've ever received. I signed up for weekly lawn service and after 6 weeks had gotten two mows. The second mow was terrible, grass clippings all over, large sections missed and no edging at all. They kept telling me they'd fix it but never did. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
They are prompt and professional. Would recommend this to anyone. Fast and easy to set up service. Reliable, economical, they even have specialized services. You can change services if you need to. The app is easy to use. Your satisfaction is their number one priority. If you need a one time service they can do it. No job is too small
I had a great experience with the company until they tried to scam me by tacking on a long grass fee equivalent with the price of 1 lawn mowing ($40). It's pretty hard for your grass to grow 12 inches(when they charge a long grass fee) when it is mowed every two weeks. Customer service did nothing about it. They lost a customer and recommendation.
I waited for weeks like an idiot and no one ever showed up! In the meantime my lawn was the only one in the neighborhood that had grass and weeds over 3 foot tall... why have a lawn service if no one ever shows up to do it?
AWFUL EXPERIENCE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.
The assigned crew never showed up for two weeks and continued to blame inclement weather when there were stretches of days without rain. The crew would not respond to questions unless I asked for my service to be cancelled. When a new crew was assigned after multiple no-shows from the previous crew, they did not perform the job because the grass was now exceedingly high, a circumstance due to the negligence of this lack of service, and quoted me almost $100 more than the original price. When I called to voice my concern, a customer representative assured me I would receive a phone call from a supervisor and that call has still not come.
This company is terrible. The customer service is awful. They do not respond to customer concerns and I would never recommend their service to anyone. Zero star rating is not allowed so the generous 1 star rating is the least I could rate.
I would rather not give any stars to this company. They have charged me about $100 dollars for services I never got and was not scheduled for

Horrible service, will not use them again. Promises service, but does not complete the job. Also not very responsive. No wonder they have to keep offering discounts, they really don't care to retain customers, or customers needs at all!
I've been using LawnStarter for about a year and six months. App works well. Crews are reliable and do a good job.

After I had to inform you of fraudulent charges for incomplete work, the number of no shows, rescheduling, phone calls I had to place, emails and follow ups that were required for ONE lawn mowing after >14 days was beyond asinine.
This is bar none the most unprofessional and incompetent company I have EVER dealt with. It was a complete waste of time.
