Was charged twice for a single mowing. When I asked for a refund for the second charge, they ignored it, so I disputed the second transaction through paypal. They have refused service since.
Pre-paid $50, service was never completed. Was promised a refund, never received. Got robbed! Do not use this service! Contractors are unresponsive with messages and online support is extremely not helpful. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE
Customer waited 4 months to request a refund. Refunds can not be sent after 4 months. Also looking at the messages the customer asked the contractor to clean their house instead of mowing the lawn. That is why the order was not done, the customer ordered lawn mowing, not house cleaning.

Quick response. The contractor was nice. He missed some spots which I had to mow myself the next day. He did do the edging that I didn't request, however, so that was nice.

You don't need to sign any contracts, and can use their service once, or as many times as you'd like. What a perfect feature for someone in my situation. I ordered service Wednesday night, and a professional crew cut my lawn the next day. They did an awesome job. My lawn looks better then it ever has, and it cost me under $20. That's half the price that my friend's lawn care company wanted to charge me. The ordering, and payment process was very easy to use. I told my friend to fire his lawn care service, and use this company instead. I'm even thinking about selling my mower, and having them cut my grass from now on.

The site provides a pretty simple way to get connected with someone that will mow your lawn on short notice without need an on going lawn care contract. I am glad I have it available so that at times when I just can't get out and do it myself I can get someone to come out the next day and have it taken care of.
I was really disappointed in this service as the HOME PAGE indicates next day service. I needed to have my lawn mowed the next day as this house was for sale and there were several showing scheduled at the last minute. I never received an acceptance of my order so my lawn was not mowed. I cancelled the order and was still charged $15.
It doesn't make sense that you can claim to mow "next day" but then penalize me for cancelling within 48 hours because no one accepted the job when I needed the yard mowed the next day.
I was extremely disappointed and would not use (nor recommend) this service.

A: Cancellation fees are very common in service industry type businesses. Doctors, dentists, hair salons, moving companies and many other businesses charge fees if a appointment is cancelled within a certain time frame of when the service is being provided. So we adopted the same polices that those businesses do. If a person schedules services and cancels within 2 business days of the order being placed LawnMowingOnline reserves the right to charge a $15 fee. The policy has worked exactly as expected, more orders are getting accepted and mowed and fewer orders are being cancelled. Avoiding this fee is simple, just do not cancel within 2 business days of scheduling service. For example, if you order May 1st for mowing on May 2nd, do not cancel on May 1st, May 2nd (1 day) or May 3rd (2 days). The order can be cancelled on May 4th (3 days since May 1st) and there will be no fee. Of course by then the order will likely be accepted by a contractor and already mowed so there would no longer be any reason to cancel.
To make sure every customer knows about the cancellation fee it is listed in 2 places. It is listed on the Terms of Service page that all customers agree to before placing an order and the cancellation fee is explained in bold text and underlined on the cancellation page that all customers must fill out to cancel an order.

The contractor I hired was fast, efficient, and pleasant. My grass wasn't very high to start with, and he got the whole yard done in record time. I brought him a bottle of water while he was working and we chatted a little! Ultimately a really great experience, I'll definitely use Lawn Moving Online again. He did a great job, and it was even cheaper than my old lawn guy, by a lot. Why would I ever choose anything else?

We looked online for a lawn care service and found a posting on craigslist about it. After extensive research, we decided it'd be a good idea to try it out. This was on a Sunday night, around 8 o'clock - and that night, I was able to schedule someone to come out the very next day to mow our lawn. The process was really easy, and I was even able to include a tip to avoid that awkwardness when the mower finished up. The contractor was a really nice guy who came in the early evening when it had started to cool off. He did such a great job! Our whole lawn looks so even and nice. I really appreciate the awesome job he did, and the ease of the whole process. I'm definitely using this service again! Thank you!

We've used them several times and they are good if they happen to show up to do the job.
The problem is that they don't care if their contractors show up or not. They tell you straight up that you are responsible for getting the contractor to show up and do the work. We've been left texting and emailing and messaging desperately trying to get a service we payed for. Lawnmowingonline just tells us that we need to work it out with the contractor instead of just sending someone else to do the work. I would strongly recommend you use someone else.
The contractor has been ban from the website for not mowing your property. Order cancelled and refunded. When you have problems in the future it's better to contact support first before you post negative reviews on public forums. Had you contacted support the order could have been reposted and the lawn mowed. I don't know why you said you've been texting and emailing desperately because you sent only 1 message to the contractor for the lawn that was suppose to be mowed yesterday and after you posted this negative review you sent 1 message to support. Yes, you are right, customers do need to communicate with the contractor if there is a problem, and if the contractor does not reply then the customer can contact support so the situation can be resolved. Not contact contractor, 5 minutes later post negative online review, 5 minutes later email support. That is not enough time to get anything resolved.
Lawnmoweronline does an amazing job of taking your order and your money. Unfortunately, they do an extremely poor job of ensuring THEIR contractors provide the agreed upon service. Uber for lawn care? Ha! Far from it!
Update: Check your facts lawnmowingonline. Your contractor was a no show for days. I contacted them though your site as instructed and they made up lame excuses as to why they didn't show up. It was only then did I cancel. Don't lie in your responses to reviews.

This is my second time using them and I was even more pleased the second time than I was the first ( did not think that was possible). I made an appointment for the next day and the guy shows up early in the day (not to early) cuts my yard, edges the yard, blows off the grass and leaves. No asking questions that I know not the answers, just cuts my yard and leaves quietly. I could not be more pleased. The price is right, the service and customer service is great what more can I say? You gotta try this.
Love this! I needed my yard mowed up in round rock for a rental house I own. It is an hour drive from my house. I ordered online, they went up there the next day and mowed, and took pictures! Before and after pics! They saved me so much time, and all for an excellent price. I wish I had thought of such a clever online business. I love them, and will definitely be using them again.

I’m disabled and unable to do my yardwork anymore. I found LawnMowingOnline.com and scheduled them to have my lawn cut by Friday, last week. The landscaper showed up on time and not only did a great job mowing my lawn; I paid a bit more and he weeded my gardens and, although they don't usually do shrub work, he also trimmed my hedges for me. Why would you want service again when you already called your credit card and disputed service before? We have no way of double charging since LawnMowingOnline never has your credit card number. If you were charged twice that means you put your credit card into Paypal twice and paid twice.
