I've been using the *cupid websites (Colombian and Latinamerican) for well over 5 years. People, values and more did change. Those websites are now (2019) replete of scammers, fake profiles and prostitutes. All of them are total liars, deceitful people looking to hurt you.
I haven't been able in a whole month to meet a "decent" girl. All seems to have some financial problems or not even existing. I don't date prostitutes btw.
I do believe there's a market for both "serious guys" and "serious girls" willing to meet each others. Sadly, *cupid websites are not such place.
It is very obvious that many profiles are fake on all the cupid.com sites. As some other reviewers have stated and experienced you will find a pattern to some of the profiles. Great pictures, no information, or sometimes lots of info, one photo basic info, no photo basic info. There info doesn't even match their photo sometimes. Hopeless! They will add you as a favourite but they have not even viewed your profile? It seems like the profiles originate from within the company itself, trying to tempt you into paying for a membership. I am 100 percent convinced of that, to me it is beyond obvious. Lots of times I was sent a message or interest or added as a favourite by a stunning looking women, then when you go to view the profile it is switched off, that happened atleast every couple of days. As far as people asking for money I have never experienced that, but you would be an IDIOT to send someone money that you do not know personally.
I am sure there are some legitimate profiles, but you must be very selective and careful in finding the real ones. My advice is to stay away from all cupid.com sites. As others have experienced also, I think the site was more legitimate some years back, but now it is obviously just a way to make money from knuckle heads who are too silly to see the obvious.
I rarely if ever write reviews but I had to counter the reviews of these quite gullible and seemingly slow Gringos (I am Gringo). I have met nothing but great educated women on this site. Anytime a possible fake profile "interests" me, she is removed. So what is the problem--and the site does not pay me. Most of the Gringos are probably desperate trying to get some hot young babe way out of their league. When this fails to happen within a short period of time, they complain. Look, if you were a great-looking Don Juan, you would not be on the site to begin with! Second, many probably know little Spanish and less about Latin America. They are probably easily taken advantage of and look a little ignorant. I speak Spanish fluently and lived in Latin America. In fact, getting in deep conversations with some of the girls on Whats App, they complain about male scammers, men you talk about how rich they are, and promises of visas. My experience is that there are way more great women on this site then men. I have never been asked for money (gee, just write it in your profile) and if I am in the future, I will humbly decline. You are speaking with women in very difficult circumstances so of course some might need money. What are you complaining about. Just say sorry I am unable to. Be thankful you are not in that situation. But it is great since I am chatting--in Spanish, their language--with a ton of cool educated chicks. We often joke about the other men on the site. You are making my love life awesome! Thanks for being so Gringo :)
Latin Cupid and Colombian Cupid sites are filled with prostitutes, and their owners condone it. They will allow whores on the site and will charge members fees while the whores pay nothing. Then Cupid will remove you and keep your money while allowing the whores to stay. It's absurd you report a whore in their site and they remove you and keep your membership dues. STAY AWAY FROM CUPID.COM SITES
I'm surprised at all of these reviews mentioning scammers. I've used Colombiancupid and LatinAmericancupid and I've met so many women I can't keep up. Out of a couple of hundred women I've chatted with, I've met 4 or 5 scammers. I would consider myself above average in the looks department, but nothing more. Maybe some of these men are attracting the wrong girls. I typically message the ones I like, and if I get a conversation going, I talk to them on WhatsApp. I would recommend this site based on my own experiences, and I'm not sure what else is out there to compare it to. I haven't tried Tinder. The rule I would use, if they don't have a profile picture, or they look like a playboy model, don't message them, stick to the normal girls. I've met many sweet and attractive women on here.
This is a great dating site for meeting beautiful women. Sure there are scammers on the site but like all sites you have to use your common sense and like they warn you on the site dont send money to anyone that you havent met in person and at just 40 dollars a month you have nothing to lose. I have met plenty of wonderful women here and i have even met a few in person. I reccomend this site if you are looking for a beautiful latin woman
I've been on the site for a week now and I haven't been able to chat to someone who isn't a scammer. Bit of a joke really. My profile gets hammered with interest and favourites but sadly these are all from people who are trying to scam me for something. I don't think I've seen a genuine profile on this site as yet.DO NOT PAY MONEY TO THIS SITE!
Other dating sites pale in comparison. I've been on all of them. The women here do not bring bad attitudes, don't use drugs, aren't covered with tattoos. Their 98% Christian with strong moral and family values. They're 180 degrees opposite from their Norte-Americana counterparts. First from a physical standpoint, not many fatsos here. And unlike other sites, women are required to post their weight as well as their height. Overall, they are more beautiful and healthier than US women. Are there a few scammers? Of course! But all in all very low percentile.
I have an advantage over many men here. Even though I'm a white-skinned, green-eyed American born gringo, I am fluent in Spanish. But even if you're not, you can still find the perfect loving, God-Fearing wife here. I strongly encourage you to give it a try. You wont be disappointed. AND NO, I AM NOT BEING PAID TO POST THIS.
Unlike other reviewers, I have met real people on Cupid. My issue is the functionality of the website. It has numerous "bugs" For instance, the Keyword Search function does not work. I wrote to the company to report the problem and they sent me a useless robot answer, to which I wrote back to complain. I heard nothing in response, and the problem is not fixed. That means to me that they know they have problems but are not fixing them. Also, I write to women who in their profile say they speak good English and they write back to say that they do not and they never indicated that in their profiles. Another problem is when you look at someone's profile, you are supposed to see a red check in areas that you are not compatible but the red checks are not compatible.
I'm seeing a lot of things that make me very suspicious. Fake ages, a lot of skin, and very little in the profile. Not asking for money yet, but I've been watching. I'd be reluctant to show up to meet someone in a strange country without some good picks and conversation
Very sophisticated scammers are repleat on this site. The best and most beautiful of them will walk you through a relationship and all of the natural steps, building a Facebook profile for you telling them how much they love you and of course asking for money for the inevitable rent payment, cell phone
Sick mother, or any other million things. The unsophisticated ones will ask your money immediately. But the craftiest of them will slowly build a relationship and Bilk you out of thousands. Just bear in mind it as they're building a relationship with you there doing it with 10 or 15 other men. They probably even cut and paste the replies. If you ever get a response it seems out of context that is why they're managing numerous relationships at the same time. They are on dozens of sites and this is their full-time occupation they generally work together and There'll be 10 or more girls hovering around a PC coaching each other on what to say. Remember they are very good at it. But they make mistakes. One day one of the girls accidentally switched her camera on and I observed this for a good 10 minutes. Often if you think you're working two beautiful women at once? Haha guess what they are working you together! And this is how they justify stealing because they say that you're not honest anyway. This was an unbelievable stroke of luck on my case. I got to observe as they were telling each of several guys they were the only one and how they love them exclusively. Hahahaha. Don't ever send them pictures of your privates with your face exposed, one unfortunate man was blackmailed for thousands of dollars he was married and the woman stalked him and threatening to send these pictures to all his friends on Facebook and his wife. Your best bet to marry a beautiful Latina is go to the country

I had good results a few years ago with this site. Unfortunately, as others have said, it has gone downhill along with the other cupid foreign dating sites. Lots of bots, scammers, fake profiles and prostitutes escorts on this site and the other cupid sites. Very sad as it could be way better if the company was not so lazy in weeding out fakes by charging a fee.

I've been on and off this site for a few years. I'm really good friends with my ex girlfriend of 6 years who I met on this site. Yes there are scammers, yes there are hookers on the site, yes there are webcam models trying to get you to there site, and yes there are really good people on the site. Your on a website looking for people In a third world country... most of you are looking for sex and not love so keep it real. If your talking to a poor woman, no job, no education of course they will ask for s little help every now and then, but it's your choice. Be careful
I bought a membership on this site, within 12 hours my computer was infected by a virus from using the site
Most people are Hackers and scammers, plus HOOKERS.
I asked to cancel my account and for refund
They told me, no refunds and that the virus came from a email
I have proof the computer was infected from using the site
DON'T FALL for it, it's full of Hackers

I never met someone that really wanted something serious. Married men, scammers, phedophiles, human trafficking... you named it. The worse types are in these sites. They lie about everything in their profiles. I never met anyone that was 100% honest. You complain with the site and they don't care. 80% of Nigerian scammers pay the site. If interpol investigate Cupid media. They would find a lot of $#*!

First, they are very picky on what you write in description and will delete your entire "about me" profile if they didn't like what you wrote. I couldn't find a guideline nor do they provide reason as to why they deleted. I had to write my profile more than 4 times.
Second, I searched for people in a particular country and there was roughly 35 people in the result but the next day the search showed more than 100 people. Interesting that in one day 65 people signed up. When I did the search based on members online it showed me more than 2900 members from different different parts of South America. I clicked on a profile and sent a message. I clicked back button to go on the online members results page and suddenly all of them are offline. I went to home page and clicked members online and see all of that same people are online. Very interesting.
Third, if you send a message to someone you liked ( I send to more than 80 different people) a autoreply message pops up saying that both of you are free members, so you need to Upgrade membership. I emailed the customer service to find out how do I know who is a paid member. They responded by saying the profile will have a blue or gold symbol next to a profile. I searched more than 400 profiles and only found 1 blue profile. Interestingly, they don't have the option to search for paid members only( it's very clear that they barely have any paid members).
You will get a lot of messages in your inbox but you can't see it since you a free member. Even if you sign up for membership the other person can't see your message because they are free member. So you basically wasted your money, time and effort.
I would advise caution if you choose to use LatinAmerican or Colombian Cupid, as I believe that there is a very good chance you will encounter those women who are most definitely after nothing but your money. These sites can provide an ideal arena in which scammers can find potential opportunities to extract money from foreign men, and some of these women are very accomplished at doing so.
If you do use these sites excercise care, and as has been said many many times before NEVER send money. Don't become a source of easy money. Latin America has societies that are very macho, and are riddled with poverty, crime and corruption, affording women fewer chances. So it's not surprising the unscrupulous will use these sites for financial gain.
Whether or not to use the sites, the choice is yours, just remember the risks.
I see some bad reviews from these cupid pages and they are mostly all true. Although you can blame yourself if you send money to some hot babe you never met in your life!
Do you also give your money to any women you meet in a bar? This is not cupid's fault its your own!
Some women will post fake pictures... well because they are fat and not so attractive, yes i have been there, done that! Just block them and or report them, most likely nothing will happen or they will just make a new account... Leave it!
Some women will send you a link for some online action, but your best bet will be youporn etc... its free!
Some women have a sick mom or dad that needs surgery... Its not your problem!
These are the scams on these sites... live with it or just dont enter and pay.
Although there are some " bugs " most women on these pages are for real, give it some time and find your girl... if in doubt ask for their facebook ( all women have it) if they dont, talk to the next girl if she wont send you a picture/video or a skype.
I have been on latinamerican & brazil cupid and the " scams " are the same, so most likely they are the same on all of them.
But if i havent given it some time ( 3 months) i wouldn't have been married today! I didnt look for a high educated rich girl with a DD bra size or a silicone filled butt ( its just not my taste) Im just a normal " joe " so a normal " jill " with a nice smile fits me perfect and i found her.
Good luck to you single guys!
The website does have all the options you want: online chat, full profiles with pictures, research feature, and more, besides being easy to use.
My main negative feedback is that the site isn't monitored unless YOU report some suspicious activities.
Thus, you will encounter scam artists, prostitutes and so on. After receiving 10 requests in a row for money (wire transfers or whatever), you do honestly get bored and thinking "Hell, is it a serious site or not!?"
It's time consuming to "report" people and it's not my job. I did pay a monthly subscription. Please CupidMedia, hires people to monitor your websites.
Answer: I agree! I chose to stay away from it. Now I like European dating sites a lot better, I'm currently using https://j4l.com/402007 I've been really happy with it, it's a legit site ( finally!) with bunch of real profiles. Maybe you should try it too if you're still looking for a girl for relationship.
Answer: I did meet a brazilan women who was on the site and was genuine. Unrelated to the site, the main reason things did not work out were more due to how she behaved in person. I have also talked with some women from Colombia and Ecuador who were genuine.
Answer: There are more women on this site than most of the other latin country cupid sites. I briefly was on the site for Mexico and Brazil, the number of active women users on those sites was always lower than this site. I have not tried the other latin sites yet, such latamdate or latinfeels.
