Such a PITA to deal with this company. It's shameful to have to choose a physician based on what lab they use, but DEFINITELY go with one that does not use LabCorp.
Omg this was a waste of time working here. 2 years and I didn't get trained for anything other than drawing blood. They act like you'll be cross trained but if your account doesn't require that test u just stick... labcorp LIES ALOT. They don't give bonuses they criticize u. JUST GO TO QUEST... I worked for Jaqueline Bennett in griffin... she is a drunk! Knows nothing to be a manager
The staff are rude, they are always understaffed, the staff looks like they just stepped off the streets, they are inefficient and rude. I would never return to this place, except it is the only lab my insurance current contracts with. They are just plain awful, and I suspect management isn't any better as it's always the same thing.
I was asked for a urine sample. The bathroom door doesn't close all the way. There was no place to put my purse and no wastebasket. The sink faucet was adorned with many inches of scotch tape---the same as the door lock. You are instructed to walk to the next opening and wash your hands there, among the blood and urine samples. The room where the blood was drawn had some tile in the ceiling that looked like something was growing on it. I sent an email to the corporate office and the next morning I rec'd a call at 7:00AM saying they were working on a new lease and she had just been there, but didn't notice there wasn't a wastebasket? Isn't there someone (City Health Dept., State agency, etc) that can monitor these places?
There was only one person in the facility, checking patients in as well as taking the specimens at the Lake Mary, FL location. It took forever for the person to check me in and even longer for him to take the specimen. There is a Quest Diagnostics next door which seemed to be well staffed and seeing patients much faster.
My doctor put order in on Friday - it's Monday now. I went to the Hinsdale, Illinois location on Saturday as that was the only location with Saturday hours. They had no record of my order. Took me a half hour to get there only to find out they don't have my order in their system. I went to the location on Ogden in Naperville this morning, and sat and waited an hour only to find out They have no record of my order and when you call their phone, you get an automated message that says we will be right with you and then it disconnects you. I tried a few times, and so did my doctor's nurse. She tried faxing something there and it wouldn't go through. I am now very late to work and labCorps completely sucks. Went to quest diagnostics, was in and out in five minutes. My doctor's nurse put the order in five minutes before I got there. It went as smooth as butter. LabCorp Is an absolute total waste of my time and I would never go there again. All I had to do was put some Pee in a cup, as my doctor is worried about me spilling protein. This is important and they failed twice. Never again. I recommend not using LabCorp. Quest diagnostics is a wonderful alternative.
My text confirming the lab appointment offered online check-in. After waiting 30 minutes, I found out LabCorp wasn't using their new system yet. My fasting blood lab wasn't taken for almost an hour, despite my appointment and system check-in.
Or Dr used to do their own laboratory work. Then they switched over to LabCorp. Once that happens we started getting secondary bills from LabCorp. This is true in our healthcare up thousands of dollars. We switch doctors. We found a doctor that did all of their laboratory work in house. It was this way for a couple years. This last August 2018 our doctor switched over to LabCorp. Now we're getting bills from LabCorp again. LabCorp treats people like ATMs. Their accounting department is terrible. They have nearly monopolized all the laboratory work in Northeast Texas. You were literally at their mercy. We have made it clear to her doctor we do not want LabCorp handling any of our work. We do not consent for them to be involved in our healthcare. They have far too many complaints. We have had bad experiences with them. If they were a restaurant we wouldn't use them or eat there. So it only follows we don't want them involved in our healthcare
I received a bill for lab work and paid it immediately, sending a check via mail. It was received and cashed on time, as per my bank account transactions. For two months I received "past due" notices in the mail. I just called today (I had to Google the billing phone number because they do not make it easily accessible to reach anyone and do not put it on the bill, just a fax number). I immediately received a rep and gave him my verification information. He proceeded with, "how can I help you with this ZERO balance today" as if to shoot down anything further from me before I could speak. So I politely stated I am continuing to receive past due notices and my bank shows the check cashed, so I wasn't sure why I was continuing to get past due notices. He said "your... acccount... has a ZERO... BALANCE", pausing after every word and talking to me as if I am ignorant. I asked politely to confirm that since it's a zero balance, I won't be charged any past due fees, correct? And again, he restated the same thing about the account balance being zero, pausing after every word. I thanked him for his time and hung up. Customer service representatives are the face of a company, the quality of the company, and what the company represents. The notion I received from this employee is that he is tired, overworked, feeling unappreciated, and is tired of dealing with people to the point of being disrespectful to customers who are calling. Take better care of your employees and hire professionals with professional etiquette, deliver higher quality customer service.
I had yearly blood work done and since my insurance does not cover Wellness Exams, Labcorp will not give me the in-network pricing even though they are in-network. They are billing me $869 instead of $76. They also no longer are allowing the insurance company to show the in-network price so you don't know what it should have been.
Had some bloodwork done at Labcorp for an annual physical. It is all covered 100% - and have been doing this for decades. The person doing the paperwork was not the normal person I deal with. There was a small fee due of about $4 and I kept getting an invoice for it. The balance should have been zero. I had called and talked to them, called my insurance company and they felt the code was incorrectly entered, the last digit was off. I had communication going via email and told them this, and months later I got the latest bill. It has now gone to a collection agency. So between Labcorp, my insurance company, myself and now another party, we have hundreds of dollars spent on this to correct a small error.
I have been requested to go to Quest for my tests, as their info goes directly into files at my doctor(s) offices, but I liked one office of Labcorp. Now I think I will got to Quest because of this. Labcorp offices seem to be disappearing, as two in one of the areas I go to, are gone. Perhaps this is one of the reasons... The small charge should not be legit as there should be no charge at all for these routine tests with respect to my insurance. Labcorp never got back to me after I noted that my insurance thought the coding was incorrect. Looks like it will cost Labcorp thousands of dollars for lost business since they did all my labwork and will go elsewhere... (A shame there is only two labs which are across the country that do this work, Labcorp and Quest).
I have been taking my elderly mother for blood work every 3 months to the Angola, IN site. We only travel there so Humana will pay the fees. In September, the person that drew blood missed an order for a medication level that is vitally important. No test was done and the U of M did not receive the results they needed. This month my mother had the usual standing 3 month tests plus other was suppose to have a lipitoid panel for her GP. My mother had forgotten this and when I asked the lab lady she said she would check on it. She returned and told my mother she already had that done on 10/29. Umm. NO, SHE DID NOT! When I asked the lab person "where" the blood was drawn at she said "here". The lipitoid panel was not done. I called the Dr office after getting mom home to question what was going on. What the lab person read dated 10/29 were the results of her September labs that posted on that date to her chart. SERIOUSLY? Do these people even know what is going on?
When receiving test ordered by doctor LabCorp asks for a statement that patient will pay what is not reimbursed from Medicare or Insurance. Then they are negligent in their billing procedures with Medicare and insurance to the point that in our case the billing was denied and shouldn't have been. They do nothing to readdress the situation further. The patient is left to pay unless the patient is alert to file an appeal with Medicare themeselves.
In our case I paid the bill electronically at the first billing. A few days latter LabCorp returned the billing to my bank... not sure what they did wrong or otherwise., The math was wrong on subsequent billings and when I tried to call the first time, I waited a long time and was answered and cut off. After checking with them and looking at the appeal to Medicare process myself, I discovered that the time for appeal had run out,. Sio I paid LabCorp and the very next thing they are threatening me with a collection agencies.
I will file a complaint to Medicare.
They are nice in person on the phone but the practices are bullying to the patient so that they do not have to deal with the reimbursement process as all other providers do. DO NOT USE LABCORP. Tell you doctor DO NOT USE LABCORP.
I arrived to the LabCorp office in Mount Vernon WA at 0730 as instructed by LabCorp. I walked in and the employee came out and looked at me with total disgust. I advised my name and appointment time. The person stared at a computer screen, saying nothing. I thought I might be in the wrong office and I asked if i was on the screen she was staring at. She snarled I was. Then demanded my orders. It was clear to me that this LabCorp employee viewed me as the worse thing to walk in and she wanted noting to do with me and made it clear from the moment she looked at me. I am 60 years old and this person was one of the rudest, full with contempt for a customer, that I have ever met.
Contacted the regional supervisor by phone. After having to explain my complaint three times, the supervisor said she would check into it and call me back. That never happened. Horrible experience.
Since I called to set up my appointment the receptionist was being rude.
When I show up for my appointment they cannot find me on the list, the guy at the desk on Jamaica tells me to go to tlc to make a new appointment like I'm some kind of idiot he is trying to give me the runaround so he doesn't have to do his job.
They were very unprofessional me and my kids were waiting there starving for about 1 hour and they said that I couldn't take the drug test because my kids were here
Lab is very unprofessional. There was only two people in the office one behind the desk and one drawing blood. The person drawing blood was wearing street clothes with no lab coat which appeared unprofessional as well as not a sterile place to want your blood drawn. Since there was only one person to draw blood the waiting room was packed. After an hour wait etc I went to Sonora Quest Labs and was very pleased.
Phlebotomist's attitude started when I had asked her to give me a few minutes to finish nursing my 7 month old. Mind you, we were the only ones there and it was a problem she had to come back to the door to her us. When asked for a warm compress she stated they don't do that. Denying a warm compress for a 7 MONTH OLD with tiny veins should have been a red flag right there!
When the second tech came in they put a tourniquet for the 3rd time and then she told her to use the warm compress. Why? I asked for it and was denied, then my kid had to had tourniquet put on for 4 times in total and on BARE SKIN, you don't even do that to adults! At least she should have used the sleeve that was right there. After a third vial of blood I had asked her to loosen the turniquet already and she raised her voice telling me that she knows what she is doing. I loosend the tourniquet myself and told her he is getting hematoma and the blood will not flow since it's occluded. I'm a nurse myself and used to drawing blood.
The phlebotomist got upset that I loosend the tourniquet, we only for a little bit of blood for our 4th vial but I'm ok with that (the other 3 vials were good for the main tests). What I'm not ok with is her telling me, at the end, that I'm gonna have to go somewhere else as she doesn't have enough blood... what!? It sounded like she is going to sabotage my son's specimen and I hope I'm wrong.
I've never had issues with labcorp before, always use it. But PLEASE EDUCATE YOUR STAFF ON BASICS and the attitude, listening to the parents as we know our kids better than you. This is not rocket sience.
I checked in, due to me having my lab work I tried to ask Mrs. Lynn a question. Not even looking up from the computer, w/a wave of her hand stated, Check in over there, i tried to let her know that i had my lab orders and again she cut me off and said, I'll get to you when your name is called. Appt time 8:30- this was at 8:15.@8:35 I tried again, did you check in? Yes. Then sit down. Now 8:45 i approached again she asked again and this time I advised her not to discard me, she checked i was not checked in due to a balance I owed. However the system showed me as checked in on my side but didn't show her. If she had just taken the 2 minutes to give me customer service then i wouldn't have waited 30 min passed my appt time. I paid the balance and was seen. Techs 5 stars they have always been great but the reception area needs a major attitude improvement.
First, you have to do their job on the reception. I guess they expect everyone to be computer literate. Secondly, if they have to assist anyone? Well, now they are more rude. And then, they discuss your financial business in front of everyone and even though you have insurance they will not do the test unless you pay some up front. I never heard of anything like this.
Answer: I have same question here, no training, but still get paid. Why? Because people allow them
Answer: Its sent out, they are just a profesional AQUIRE BUSSINESS FOR ALL THAT THEY GIVE SERVICE FOR
