The Ballin MO location is the most ridiculous operation I've ever come in contact with. The people who work there are rude and impersonal. The billing procedure is a joke. You have to supply a credit card to get service. They simply charge your credit card instead of working with the insurance company. It becomes the patient's problem to get their money back. I had a blood test done in August and in November LabCorp sent it to a collection agency, even though it was settled with Blue Cross Blue Shield in October. Just absurd. STAY AWAY!
August 2,2019, I went to LabCorp located in the George Washington Medical Faculty Associates building at 2300 M Street, NW, Suite 110-16, Washington, DC. I had blood drawn and felt faint. I asked to lie down and was told that was not possible. I fainted and was sat in a chair, the absolute WORST thing to do. I started to sweat like it was raining and vomit. They called 911 and I was taken to the hospital. This ended up costing me almost $2000, all because they were medically negligent. I complained and nothing happened. No response from Rebecca Varley MD listed as in charge of Safety.
My husband went to his heart doctor in Jan. Of this year. This is Oct. Now and a billing problem still going on. Labcorp did his labwork at the doctor's office. Recently at the time Labcorp purchased another company called Dynacorp, I believe, and they filed the insurance claim under Dynacorp and not Labcorp. My ins. Co. Paid as an out of network claim because they had never heard of Dynacorp. I continually called Labcorp and even spoke on a three way with myself, Labcorp and my ins. Co. To get this straightened out. And, I was under the impression that it would be. Well, turns out it still is not. Now Labcorp tells me they can't change their paperwork and I owe the bill. My copay of $15 is all my insurance co. Tells me I owe because that is what they contracted with Labcorp. So, I refuse to pay a bill I don't owe and Labcorp refuses to correct their mistake. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I am giving a heads up to other people to be prepared to GET YOUR MONEY READY if you use this company for your lab work regardless if you have insurance.
I went to the Sedona location several times for blood tests. The staff is always changing but equally unfriendly. Last time I went, in typical fashion ( staff name Carie?) I got barked at: She was alone in the office, no patient around: Bark 1: Check in over there ( points finger). I check in: Labcorp wants my drivers license and my insurance card just to get to wait for an appointment! Wow, unsolicited data mining anyone? Then the next bark: papers? My doctor had sent the request electronically which she did not bother to check. Bark 3: papers? I took my paper work with me, asked my doctor to send the tequests to Quest and will not visit labcorp again until they understand that they are in the service industry. 3 times in a row is enough. The people at Quest? Yes, they say good morning even when they are busy and they are not in the data mining business.
I went to labcorp today so my Son could get his bloodwork after an hour of sitting they looked at his paperwork and told me they did not have the equipment to do his bloodwork? It was a basic bloodtest 15 peope when I arrived 14 when I left do the math. ******* university cove pl tampa fl I will be posting this event everywhere I can so peope can be aware I was not the only one sent home they sent a poor elderly women home then to come back and sent her home a second time what a mess!
Lab corp in Winchester Va. Does not look like a medical facility. They all have long dirty nails. Just scream at everyone in there. No bedside manners. Lost my 1yr old sons blood specimen. This facility needs to be shut down! The workers need to not work in medical and belong somewhere in the streets picking up trash.
Had a simple blood test done in april 2019. Medicare and secondary insurance company asked for some codes. They sent a letter to that effect to LabCorp with a copy to me. Labcorp did not submit the codes, did not ask the requesting physician or me, but just billed me $400+ for each service; I went for blood tests twice). They have been sending reminders on the bills. I have never seen this happen with any health care service. In my life.
I would give Labcorp negative stars if I could.
I WOULD NEVER IN MY REMAINING LIFE WILL GO EVEN NEAR A LABCORP LAB> SHAME ON THEM.
After being ignored for 15 minutes, while receptionist and a coworker talked about personal issues, I was called to the desk by the rude receptionist. The blood draw was not much better. This is the worst lab and customer service ever. My insurance will only cover this lab. Ridiculous
I stopped in to get a 24 hr jug so my husband can do tat then return for an appt- idk who trains Labcorp's employees ( I am aware I felt with supervisor/ coordinator of the newton nj location - I get they get busy but there should be someone at the window at all times for questions and concerns of the patient. I worked for them and ran 3 locations and never did I ever disrespect or be so unpleasant to a patient. Thanks again for nothing! I'll go elsewhere
Got my husbands blood work ( psa) mixed up with some else was in a panic because it was high. Redid it, normal, feel bad for the person that got my husband labs, he is probably walking around with prostate cancer and thinks he is just fine. That was last year. Just had blood done again, draw was at MD office. Values were abnormal, going to have a redraw. You cannot trust lab Corp to be 100 precent with results. Beware
Carol Elnaqqar, front desk and Luz lab technician are excellent! The receptionist was very helpful and very pleasant. Luz, who drew my blood, found a vein in my arm immediately. Normally, it has to be taken from my wrist with a "buttery" needle. I left feeling good about my visit.
I went to Labcorp in Wheat Ridge, CO today and the waiting room was packed, come to find out there was only 1 person working! His name is Rancis, he was awesome, he was patient, just kept plodding along, i ended up waiting for 2 hours before i got my blood drawn as he could only take 3 people back at a time. He stated he had went up the chain of command trying to get someone to answer their phone to come & help him or to send some help, NOBODY would answer his phone call. This guy is a keeper.
I had a 7:30am appointment for routine fasting lab work. I showed up on time and checked in only to be told by the check in clerk that she would need to call the doctor's office because the date on the lab order is a month in advance. Since the doctor's office does not open until 8am, I was turned away. I called the doctor's office and was told that the date actually means that I have one month to complete the lab work, not WHEN to schedule. I called Labcorp back and spoke to the same person. I was told that the doctor would still need to be called since the date is the date. Wow. I wasted precious time before work because someone is inflexible and cannot read a lab order.
The tech were loud ignorant and talking about personal business at the front desk. Yelled from the back u can come on back. Discussed how that hate it when patients come in with a several blood test orders. Just so stereotypical of them. We go to do better ppl.
If you can find a different Lab use them. These bozos have a new check in system that is junk the don't credit your payments, send undeserved Past Due notices and you can't get a live person no matter what you do when you call their posted number.
I would give them 0 if it was a choice.
Patricia the lab tech was slow. In the simple task of checking off the lab tests from my order to the computer it took her 20 minutes. It felt like she was going slow on purpose as her coworker was much faster. She would stare at the computer screen when there were only 4 choices. I could read and see which choice matched, why was she staring so long?
The other concerning issue with this lab is the chairs where the blood is drawn are INSIDE the area where testing and transferring of samples is taking place! Like 5 feet from where I'm sitting. This is wrong in so many ways.
1. what if something breaks or splatters, I'm sitting right there. I would be hit with any fluid.
2. What if I grabbed samples, grabbed pippettes, any patient coming after me has access to my blood too. 5 feet away someone could mix up samples.
Wrong wrong wrong. Bad set up, slow unproductive person, no confidence in this lab at all.
I just received a bill STATING my insurance company is not paying the fees due to being out network. Lap Corp still took my insurance and credit card and NEVER INFORMED ME I Was out of network!
Went in to have a Urinate test done and the woman that was doing the test said that you have a blood test that needed to be done. I knew nothing about that and that my dr did ask for one but that was scheduled for a different day and week. They did it anyway. They also forgot to tell me that I was supposed to be fasting for that. I asked the woman what the blood test was for and she said I don't know come on now you don't know and you work in a lab? She was also sick when she was working.
Refused to send the bill to me rather than my wife in assisted living. Said wife had to call to make the address change. Excuse me my wife had a stroke and is non verbal.
Charged her $160 for Keppra that I purchase for $3.89 from Caremark
Charged her $106 for Vitamin B12 that the Dr hadn't prescribed.
Planning on contacting the Texas Attorney General's Office on Monday about this firm's billing.
Used online appointment booking service. Received confirmation: QR code, email confirm, etc.
Arrived to find that the entire Lab had CLOSED DOWN closed down 10 days beforehand. So... they let me book at a non-existent site.
Previous visits also dreadful. Times on website do NOT match actual times at site: claimed opened at 7, did not open until 8.
Final annoyance: you are unable to speak to a human being at any physical site via telephone. Website directs you to 1800 # that tell you to do it all online. I suspect LabCorp is run by 5 IT guys and a handful of staff at the sites. Avoid!
Answer: I have same question here, no training, but still get paid. Why? Because people allow them
Answer: Its sent out, they are just a profesional AQUIRE BUSSINESS FOR ALL THAT THEY GIVE SERVICE FOR
