During COVid, LabCorp sent a threat to turn us into collections due to having a "seriously" overdue account. The fact is we made payments on the HUGE bills during COVID to make sure we were in good standing. Without any income coming in, the minimum amount we paid was $100. All other payments were more. They would rather get the money in one payment than to let us spread it out. It is my opinion, that they don't care about people, and by looking at there website, they are only on a big sales push to sell their COVID tests. We have spent thousands at this lab over the years and have always paid. I would not recommend never using them. I'm not surprised by the low overall rating.

Mask
May 15, 2020

At the office at Recker rd and Brown Rd in Mesa One nurse at the front desk was not wearing a mask! Who does that now? Come on people, you should be showing some common sense, after all you are the professionals!

Susan at the front desk horrible customer service completely rude and disrespectful act like we're disturbing her to ask question just because we're under a pandemic does not mean it gives you the opportunity to be horrible to the patients when they come in for routine blood work go home if you can't be nice to clients

I need to take a drug test for a job. Knowing how everything is right now with the Covid-19 I called to ask about scheduling an appointment and procedures/requirements. There is a voicemail system that provides answers to basic questions. It said to go to their website to schedule an appointment. I read over the directions to schedule an appointment, chose "Employment Drug Screen" and then was given time options. I chose 8:45am. I printed out my appointment and arrived ten minutes early. As soon as I signed in, the system notified the lady at the desk I was here for drug testing. I was then told drug screening starts at 10am. I asked why when I selected "Employment Drug Screen" did it give me the option to select an earlier time. She told me that it was a glitch in their system and that it says the times for drug testing on the website. After I wasted 30 minutes driving back home, I went back to the website and read over it again. Even though it does say it after you select the drop down option on your desired location, there is no clearly written area or explaining the "glitch" in the system nor does it specify any differences in scheduled appointments or walk ins (for example, the 10am start time only applies to walk ins) It was clear when talking to the receptionist that this is a common issue she has to excuse often. I wasted 30 minutes driving there and 30 minutes back because of a glitch that clearly is not expected to be fixed anytime soon.

Dangerous place
May 8, 2020

Regulars at Lab Corp used to be those on immune suppressants and those taking drug screening for job applications. Now they are doing Covid testing at the same place with those who have compromised immune systems! How crazy is that! Online they say the first hour is for those with compromised immune systems but at the testing site they admit Covid folks all the time. Anything for a buck. And they treat their employees terribly.
We need a competitor to rival them.

Corrupt
April 27, 2020

Very expensive tests showed no problem. Got antibiotics anyway, and my digestive infection went away. The tests were done poorly, and I never personally received a report, only the PA's interpretation.

There has been some mix up between by Lab and my Physician, and Insurance regarding my payment for routine bloodwork. This should have been a free service provided by the physician, but somehow I ended up getting billed. Then, Labcorp sent my bill with personal information to my family member when they failed to deliver it to my current address. When I called them to correct this, the customer service was completely unhelpful in helping my resolve the address issue, and tried to harass me on bill pay when I had in fact already paid the bill, when I shouldnt have gotten one in the first place! It's clear that this is a company and culture that has no accountability for its staff or release of patient information, and doesn't care about anything as long as they get paid. I wish there was a worse review than 0 stars. Rude, hostile, and uncooperative.

Today is 3/25/20 The Front desk receptionist was unprofessional and rude. I walked in at 1:00 pm, I was the 1st person in when they opened after lunch. They have an automated machine to check-in that scans DL and Insurance card taking all your info digitally. Before using the machine I very polity asked "are you still using it for check-in" ( I asked because the virus Covid-19 can last 42-72hrs on plastic surfaces) The response I received was "That's what it's there for" and it was said with an attitude implying I was stupid. After using the machine I went to give the clerk the Doctor's paperwork she then asks me for my insurance card which I just placed back in my wallet after the machine scanned and copied both sides. I polity said, "the machine just scan and copied my card doesn't asking for insurance my card again kind of defeat the purpose of the automated check-in". Her response was "you're just full of questions today" with the same tonality & attitude. Well, excuse me for being logical. I noticed other negative reviews prior to mine obviously, they have a systemic personnel problem that management hasn't addressed. So if others read this, I encourage you to call LabCorp Corporate HQ. And ask to speak to a supervisor don't just give the info to the representative. *******677. This is the 1st negative review I have ever written in my life so that's saying something. I was Director of Sale & Marking for a very large corporation and we all know receptionists are usually the 1st point of contact and represent how clients view the image of the company. All I can say is I wouldn't want this person representing my company.

Labcorp-Fairfax-Fair Oaks PSC. Gaslighted me for an hour about a test my Doctor ordered. They insisted that I had already taken the test at my Doctor's office. Why would my Doctor prescribe a test that I had already taken at their office? I finally had to call my Doctor and get my Doctor to insist that I hadn't taken the test and that is why he ordered it. Only then did the Labcorp front desk admit that they just didn't offer the test, and couldn't provide it for me. I then asked them why didn't they just say that in the first place, instead of belittling my intelligence and lying to my face?! Labcorp charged me for a test that they don't even offer! What the hell is wrong with you vultures?

Cheap in every way
March 12, 2020

They cut costs by having as much as possible computerized, but the computer interface is not human-friendly. They have more than once failed to provide the tests which the doctor ordered on the script. It took 3 tries to download the test results, and when I attempted to print them out, the print was so tiny and the format so in-human that i gave up and did a "print screen" and used 3 times the amount of paper and ink it should have required just because they are looking to cut costs so insurance companies (Humana in my case) will use them rather than to serve people. And if you want to communicate a question or concern, you have to spend 10 minutes filling out a form to email to them. And you can imagine the sort of response you get. They really, really stink as a corporation.

I haven't even gone to this lab yet because it is impossible to reach a live human. I am all game to schedule appointments online or phone. I actually prefer it. But in some cases a person has a specific question that isn't addressed anywhere on the website. This is one of those cases. I have never had these kinds of issues with Quest. What a disappointment right out of the gate! I'll be discussing this with my insurance company. I would avoid this company if you possibly can. (I guess unless you know you will never need to have any customer service as there is none with LabCorp. Hope this helps and take care.

Last November attempted to renew my Merchant credentials. The required drug test was to be forwarded directly to the Coast Guard. I recently received notice that the test results were never received and the grace period for renewal had lapsed. I now must re-submit over 20 pages of documents, update my sea time and have a new druig test done and pay a new renewal fee. I am notifying the Coast Guard of LabCorps' incompetence and suggest they reconsider accepting any documents from this company.

There is no reason that the charges for these tests are so high other than to gouge patients out of their money. No benefit from this company at all. I will no longer go to the doctor because I cannot afford surprise bills. Our medical community is insane with greed.

Labcorp.com
February 21, 2020

I spoke to lab core today about a bill that was wrongly sent to me, as my insurance company states they paid the bill. I spoke to a woman named Brenda in billing who was absolutely rude to me. I had just informed her that I got off the phone with insurance who said I shouldn't be billed. Yet, this woman is adamant that the bill hasn't been paid. She spoke to me with a tone, and I could tell she didn't want to give her name when I asked for it. Labcore needs to hire more customer service friendly people, because I was nothing but kind to her.

Tech with an attitude!
February 14, 2020

This Technician should be fired. I watched her play on her phone while patients were waiting to be seen. When she finally called me in, because Heaven forbid she would get off her butt to call the next patient, she asked for my insurance card, which I had just scanned into their stoneage machine. When I laid it on the counter, she sat there with her hand out and forced me to place it in her hand! Talk about controlling! Then she told me there was no appt. In the system. I am livid and will find another location.
