Kong's reputation reflects a mix of loyalty and disappointment among customers. Many long-time users praise the durability and quality of older products, expressing satisfaction with their dogs' enjoyment. However, recent feedback highlights significant concerns about the decreasing reliability of newer items, with numerous reports of toys failing to withstand even moderate chewing. Customer service experiences vary; while some customers appreciate prompt refunds or replacements, others report inadequate support and difficulty in communication. Overall, the brand faces a critical challenge in restoring trust and ensuring product consistency to meet the expectations of its dedicated customer base.

Kong used to be the best. Now they are terrible. My dog destroys their toys in minutes and their "Guarantee" is a joke. Avoid at all costs.
I purchased two Kong Octopus toys last year. I was very satisfied with the XL size. Unfortunately, when I ordered one today, the XL shrunk to small. My dog was disappointed. I, as a consumer, do not understand. Where can I purchase an XL Octopus? Why did you replace it with a small? This is so unfortunate.
Purchase a $25 stuffed toy from Pet Supermarket. Kong has always been a brand that I trusted because they were well made obviously that is not the case anymore. After 3 months the toy came apart and all the stuffing inside was all over the house which may I add the stuffing was a definite choking hazard luckily I never let my dog play with it while I was not home. When I contacted Kong they could care less could not be bothered no apologies oh and by the way you can only email them it's really easy to blow people off via email I guess that's why they do it this is a company I will never trust again
Bought this toy in less than 10min this is what I seen. Inside is plastic and foam. If I wasn't paying attention and he ate either I'd be in emergency room! Won't let me add photos!
I just bought my doberman a kong ball and the first one lasted 1 month and the second the squeak stopped squeaking in 15 mins. Any recommendations
My dog got one of your balls stuck over her lower jaw in her mouth she couldn't get the ball out it was covering all of her teeth and the ball was new I had to rush her to the vet will never buy a kong ball again and will tell all my friends and family not to either I already posted on social media and then u can't even talk to a representative about there product
I bought a kong toy, the bone...thought it would be indestructable. The other one is. My dogs destroyed this one. I am amazed. A pup and an old dog.
I have been a Kong Toy buyer for many years and have always been happy with the product, but I recently bought Kong Tennis balls and was so excited to give them the balls, it took maybe 10 mins max for them to totally destroy them. Then I had to quickly pick up the pieces, because they started eating the pieces.
I tried to connect Kong Company but since I had no receipt I would not get no help. I have trusted this company for years, but I have lost all trust in them now and will never buy another product from this company again!
I have purchased Kong toys for years due to their durability, but never tried the Knots type of Kong before. Don't bother! I purchased 2 of the ones with ropes at each end since they are obviously meant for tug of war, and both were destroyed in less than 1 hour! Just playing tug of war! What a waste. I mended both twice and then they were totally destroyed and in the trash after 24 hours! Never again. Thinking of completely switching to another brand of toy like Tuffy. In this economy, who can waste money like that. My dogs are my family but I don't have money to waste on a bad product!
I do not know how this company stays in business. Their costumer help is joke and their toys are crappy. The tennis ball toys comes with a squeaker in them that easily falls out after one to two uses. Therefore making these a hazard for dogs.
I bought a toy for my dog, she destroyed it in a matter of minutes. It was labeled aggressive chewer. I notified company and they immediately offered a refund or replacement. Not only did they replace it with a better toy, it arrived in less than a week. I am so impressed with their customer service. I definitely recommend them to everyone.
I purchased XL Kong dog mat before 3 months. At the beginning it used for 10-15 days when my puppy was 4 weeks old. Unfortunately it smelled so bad so we remove it from the cage as some dog owner's adviced that puppies could have a smell when they are young. After removing the mat from the puppy cage, the smell disappeared.
Before two days i bring the mat back to the cage. Now i can see an opening and my dog is eating the inside parts of the mat.
I can't believe that i paid all this amount of money to use it for less than month and it ripped now.
When I bought it, i saw that it is waterproof and not able to be ripped.
I recently bought my dog a Kong dog collar and while it's well made (like other Kong products) I was surprised to find that the price for a small dog collar was the same as a large. The Kong leashes were priced the same way.
I bought the dog collar at PetSmart and questioned the cashier about the pricing of the product I was buying and the prices of the larger sizes. I was told the Kong company regulates the prices.
The smaller sizes use less materials and logically it should cost less.
Be weary of the prices and shop around.
I don't know if the cashier was correct but I really don't like paying for something that apparently doesn't make sense.
Dog toy's do not hod up to what the company says. Went to pet co. And other stores bought over $200.00 dollars worth of kong toys and leashes. Nothing lasts for ten minutes have to throw away right away.pet co says to bring back, but already in garbage. They do not hold up. I have putbull mix. Feels like I wasted my money.
The majority of their toys are reliable, but the newer, squeaky ones are easy to disassemble. Nice experience
This is a very poorly designed product. I have several advanced degrees and I find this cage (crate) to be almost impossible to figure out how to assemble and take apart. Unless you're a glutton for punishment, and enjoy mashed fingers, you should consider a different manufacturer.
The pet store told us our 30lb Terrier cross wouldn't be able to get through this bear made by the indestructible Kong dog toys... 1 he later she had it completely pulled apart! Maybe only for small dogs, but she is only a puppy lol
High-quality goods. Good choice. Democrat prices, so you can buy more then you really need. I liked everything.
You offer quality products that are optimal for your pets, and I can sincerely advise your company to others.
I bought a small "durable" ball for my pit bull 10 years ago. He chewed it for hours on a regular basis.
AND IT'S STILL IN ONE PIECE!
Sadly I lost my lovely dog to throat cancer last year.
I highly recommend this company the products are brilliant
Answer: Rubber toys last forever with exception of the puppy kongs, once the adult teeth come in you should put these away and purchase a larger one. My aussie ate the small end off at the age of 2 months. The ballistic material toys I wouldnt recommend if your dog is a chewer. They wont last minutes! My golden retrievers never tore up any toys (soft mouth) but the aussies my god they shred everything
