Kong's reputation reflects a mix of loyalty and disappointment among customers. Many long-time users praise the durability and quality of older products, expressing satisfaction with their dogs' enjoyment. However, recent feedback highlights significant concerns about the decreasing reliability of newer items, with numerous reports of toys failing to withstand even moderate chewing. Customer service experiences vary; while some customers appreciate prompt refunds or replacements, others report inadequate support and difficulty in communication. Overall, the brand faces a critical challenge in restoring trust and ensuring product consistency to meet the expectations of its dedicated customer base.

My wife has a KSDS Service dog. I sent in a couple of Kongs damaged by the dog and they replaced them. This all happened during the Covid crisis.
2 plays! With 6 month old border collie not brilliant value for money. But I'm sure my puppy enjoyed destroying it
Kong Corp dud NOTHING to help us when my dog was rushed into surgery with pieces of their ball got stuck in my doxies intestines. 2500. 00 later he's still here with us and ill buy nothing from them EVER again! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!
We have a VERY large female pitt of 64lbs, destroys EVERYTHING! I mean this dog eats tires like it's a candy cane! Bought her a black kong ball, it's been over 4 months and the ball is still going strong! Very satisfied. Money well spent.
I always thought Kong was the best brand for big dogs, but after this recent experience, I have changed my mind.
Kong is a horrible brand where their products fall apart with no responsibility from their owners.
They ignore consumer reviews and continue to sell crappy and inadequate products.
KONG stretch leash is deceiving. My Goldendoodle was able to attempt to run at an angle behind me causing me to have a bad fall AND a broken arm. KONG gave no apologies but rather told me to contact Petsmart. They took no ownership for actually producing the product. The KONG product at minimal, should have a warning.
I bought a kong core strength medium/large extreme, my dog had the toy for 2 hrs and it was destroyed. I will not purchase anymore nor will I recommend the to anyone else for their pet this is the second one that I have bought and he destroyed that one too. They are expensive and are not worth what you pay for them.
Tout est bon dans ce magasin. La qualité, le prix et les délais d'expédition sont au rendez-vous et tout fonctionne parfaitement, je le recommande à tous!
I purchased a Kong crate mat less than 1 month ago. The mat has 2 small holes from what I'm not totally sure. I feel it started with a thread issue and my dog found it. He now can take out the pad and eat it, so it's unsafe. I emailed Kong and they replied to contact the place I bought it. I feel they should have stood behind the product better as well as the customer. The mat advertised it is extremely durable which it is not. I will not buy Kong products any longer. I should have read reviews before I made this purchase.
As all of you GSD owners know-they are toy destroyers! My girl can rip through things in no time flat so we only buy Kong if we want it to last any time. Her bed is a Kong and we use it in her crate and in the car for travel. It is easy to clean and transport-perfect for the Dog on the Go.
My pit loves to chew on toys and cardboard. But we like to try and keep it to the toys. There are several types of toys that she can chew and they are from Kong. Because they are the only ones that hold up to her jaw power. I just wish there was more that could hold up to her chewing.
Used this service once and I liked it. Try it if you want to find anything new for your dog.
The service is truly great.
My dog loves is red ball from long so much. It has lasted him ages. Usually he chews toys up in five seconds but his kong has lasted him months. He gets such a thrill out of playing with it. Thank you for that!
They have great toys for dogs that are large breeds with strong teeth. I have a Kong toy for my dog that is 7 yrs old. My babies (Dogs) just love the toy. Try it I bet your dogs will like it.
Kong toys are advertised as indestructible. However in my experience the stuffed toys and especially the treat balls are pretty fragile with bigger stronger dogs. The stuffed toys have at max two hours play with my dogs... an AmStaff and AmBull. The exception is the Ballistics line. The material is tougher than typical stuffed toys. But even the seams on those are easily nibbled through. I would tell people with strong chewers to only purchase Kong toys in store and keep those receipts. If you have the receipt you can return if need be. Returning online products can be a hassle.
My 7 month old Pit Bull pup has broken, riped, and bit off pieces of every KONG toy we bought her. We tried every toy and even used the "black" extreme ones and she rips them apart within 45min.
We need something stronger.!
I have used the KongCompany for years from puppy stage to adult. Always reliable. I like it.
Our family has 5 dogs and each one has their own favorite toy. All of which happen to be from KONG. Most of their toys hold up pretty well, but I found that the newer, squeaky ones come apart pretty easily. My youngest and of course craziest managed to rip the bone shaped squeaky kong apart at the seams. It looks like the glue unstuck and I only had it for a week or so. I'll still be buying the kong brand, I'll just stick with their classic toys!
Answer: Rubber toys last forever with exception of the puppy kongs, once the adult teeth come in you should put these away and purchase a larger one. My aussie ate the small end off at the age of 2 months. The ballistic material toys I wouldnt recommend if your dog is a chewer. They wont last minutes! My golden retrievers never tore up any toys (soft mouth) but the aussies my god they shred everything
