Please, even if the fare is cheaper, you are really taking your chances booking through Kiwi. It is booked through separate tickets, which means you have to check in at each airport. If you miss your connection they say its not their fault. After almost 24 hours in Taipei airport and money down the drain, I will NEVER book with them again. Learn from my lesson!
I booked two tickets in Brazil. Received email with booking number, booking in progress, email with ticket number to follow. When nothing happened for about 10 hrs, I called them and received an answer it's in progress (after 10 hrs still in progress?) Next morning received an email I have to pay 149 euros more if I want this ticket. Found a cheaper ticket with the same airline on Kiwi.com, but when I called, was informed they can't switch it, i have to cancel the previous one (and loose $ in exchange on credit card) and than book a new one. For sure I didn't take a chance of this happening again, but went directly to airline. This was my first and last experience with Kiwi.com!
Do not book a flight through Kiwi. I added the additional $25 for the insurance. I had to cancel my flight do to work. They did not give me a refund. I am out $200. Do not book through kiwi. Scam do not give them your money!
I've booked a flight from bali to thailand, They sent me an conformation email with "FAKE" reservation number... I entered that number on airline's website and it doesn't even exist!
This is a complete scam... Don't know why it still appear in skyscanner...
I bought 2 tickets in kiwi.com but they didn't gave me 2. Ticket information. I bought new ticket for my second flight. I wrote them and they told me we will refund you. After one month and 2 days they told me we can not refund you. That's not fair. I don't trust them anymore. Be careful when you choose that liars.
I missed a connecting flight which was covered by the Kiwi.com-Guarantee, which meant: if the connection is not working, they will refund me the ticket costs. I thought, well, that's fair enough and booked the flights. In Frankfurt I was without any chance to reach my connecting flight with all the bus shuttles and terminal transfers I had to take. Kiwi.com acknowledged this and refunded me the costs - BUT: My alternative flight, which I had to book, cost CHF 170 and they refunded me CHF 25.88 which is absolutely ridiculous. My conclusion: the Kiwi.com-Guarantee is not worth a penny and you have to check for yourself if a connection is working or not.
Never book with this agency. Absolutely terrible. I have dealt with them once and my daughter just seriously and both times they let us done. In my situation I booked a an internal Cambodian flight online and I am a frequent traveller. I booked a certain flight and paid but when I saw the details they were all wrong. It was a night flight on a day when we had already left the country and my boyfriend was written down as British when he is French. I complained and they said they had to see with the airline? They then said we had to pay 10 euros to change his nationality. We lost the money on the flight and we booked for the one we originally wanted nd when we showed up at the airport the flight did not exist!
My daughter recently booked a flight to return home from Mexico after a gap year. She booked with kiwi.com. When she tried to add her baggage to the booking she was unable to manage her booking. She tried over 30 times. In the end she showed up at the airport and they charged her £162 for her 11kg luggage. We have complained with the airline as well, but Kiwi.com have a terrible website obviously and they do not inform passengers about their rights. Stay away at all costs.
Spend a little more if needed as I have spent hours on the phone to them, the airline changed the flight and I had to do everything through Kiwi.com (they screwed this up 3 times) I then had to pay additional costs for the changes (even though I had all insurances) and they use their own email so when you want to contact the airline at all they cannot identify you as it is Kiwi.com's 'secret' email that they will not share.
Refusing a refund on a flight that was apparently cancelled and we were never notified about it! They REFUSE to take responsibility and REFUSE refunds because of their "policy" which none of them seem to keep straight. Currently driving from north Caroline to Massachusetts in a rental for 13 hours because we "assumed " from 10+ confirmation emails, one being the day of that our flight was still on time. Terrible customer service! Do not use this company!
They cancelled my booking and offered me an absolutely horrible alternative that required an overnight stay and took 23 hours (instead of the original 4)! Otherwise, apparently I would have to buy a new ticket on myself, no refund offered. You can't even contact them because they use PAID lines, and if you want to speak with someone, they say "we will contact you", which never happens. AWFUL service!
Never book flights with Kiwi.com. They lack professionalism. We bought five tickets form them and they did not purchase them from the airlines. My family went to the airport and could not travel. They are a scam!
I booked a flight on kiwi that stated in few minutes ur ticket will be issued (they charged my card) and 4 hrs later in the middle of the night they sent me a statement:
If i dont pay 600 more dollars for this flight then they have to cancel my booking... i slept thinking i have a booed flight woke up with no flight at all... i had to buy a twice expensive flight... customer service hardly replied to my email... honestly never again
Booked an international flight from Europe to United States and back. Missed all connecting flights both ways. Would not help me rebook or refund money. Spend the extra money and go to a site that does not have the high volume of one star reviews. I would give you no stars if I could. You made experience pure hell and we spent five times the money correcting your mistakes on top of what was paid to you.
Should have read all the bad reviews before I booked with them. They booked me an international flight and failed to tell me that CARRY ON Luggage was not allowed. How is anyone supposed to travel with nothing but the clothes on your back. They were unable to assist me and this travel has already been more of a headache then I needed.
I am an EU citizen residing in an EU country other than my home country. While on a trip to my home country I applied for a new passport since my old one was expiring 2 months later. I tried to update my travel douments on kiwi.com because they require travel documents beforehand. They asked for a copy of the new travel document and I sent them a copy of my ID card which has some of my details in English as required from the EU. In the meantime I have already received a reply from the airline that they do not require copies of my travel documents beforehand. I had over 7 back and forth messages with kiwi.com staff that my documents need to be in English even after I have pointed out the details written in English. Looks like the staff could not read in English. Then I attached a link from Europa.eu explaining that EU citizens can travel using their national IDs as official travel documents in the EU. They said they could not open the link. I copied part of the information on the link, told them I lost my patience and we have been writing back and forth for something I had an official answer from the airline and I would be charged from 10 euro from them. Then they dropped it. They asked me why I said I was traveling from Greece to Finland when I had tickets from Athens to Helsinki.
My husband and I booked flights through Kiwi for our honeymoon. We showed up at 5am for our flight and were told that my husband couldn't get on the flight because he didn't have a visa for the 2 hour layover in London.
I've been to nearly 40 countries, and with the exception of the US, never before have I had to enter a country, get my bags, and recheck them while in transit.
Had we gotten on the flight, we would have never made the 2 hour connection, and the next flights were on a totally different carrier.
Needless to say, we had to pay $1800 to re-buy a one-way ticket for 2 so we could get home to our 10 month old.
Moral of the story: if it seems too good to be true, it IS too good to be true.
DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM KIWI THEY ARE A SCAM! YOU WILL NEVER GET A REFUND FROM THEM, NOR CREDIT. I thought they were comparable to Expedia, Orbitz, Cheap-o-air. They dont even have a number to call anywhere on the site or online when you try to look it up.
They do not clearly state restrictions on the tickets. I purchased 2 one way tickets to Bari, Italy which had a connecting flight. On the purchasing page. There was a little picture emoji of a luggage that had a slash over it. I presumed that meant no purchasing checked in baggage online when buying the ticket. I assumed you could purchase baggage at the airport. I have never heard of International flights being sold where you were strictly not allowed to purchase check in baggage. After paying, only then on my confirmation of payment, was the statement spelled out "YOU CANNOT PURCHASE CHECKED IN BAGGAGE AT AIRPORT." I immediately applied for cancellation because you cannot apply for refund unless you cancel. I would say i applied with in 10 minutes of purchase.
The refund process takes up to 40 days. So i filed a claim with my bank. After 1 month of "processing and investigation" and emails showing them they were falsely advertising their restrictions. Kiwi is not giving a refund to me, nor credit, nor can i use the tickets. I lost 1000 plus dollars. And they literally gave nothing in return.
DO NOT buy at kiwi.com under any circumstances. They are a complete SCAM.
I bought tickets 6 months before a trip at a reasonable price. Then two months before the trip both flights were changed and not getting me to my destination on time.
Kiwi offered alternative of even worse schedule adding an extra layover to an already long flight.
I requested a refund and they only refunded 1/3 of the flight telling me it is not up to them and there is nothing they can do.
Now I am not given a real option to reach my destination, not refunded the money and have to buy other tickets shortly before the flight at a much higher cost.
This is a complete ripoff.
Do NOT buy at kiwi.com under any circumstances! EVER!
If you are traveling and using an online site, I encourage you to stay away from Kiwi.com as they do not fulfill their 'money-back guarantee'. Our flight on May 10th from Cyprus to Luton was delayed 1.5 hours which caused us to: miss a connecting flight, miss our scheduled night at an AirBnB, have to go to a hotel, reschedule our connecting flight, and miss a scheduled non-refundable tour. All together, the delayed flight cost us $876.46. So, do NOT use Kiwi.com or Wizz Air.
They scammed me out of my new years travel to Thailand. 2019 was supposed to be a wonderful year with a beautiful start in Thailand. As soon as I got to the check-in at the airport, they saw my tickets as separate itineraries so they thought I was staying to vietnam (my connecting flight to thailand) by which you need a visa. Flight attendants said i would have been allowed on if they could verify with a simple confirmation number for the last connecting flight from Vietnam to Thailand. Kiwi could not provide that so I spent my New Years alone. I quit my job for this trip, I have been a state of depression for 6 months now. That was supposed to be my "new beginning." I am jobless, alone, and terribly depressed in 2019... all thanks to Kiwi.com
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
Answer: I am sorry you are going through this, I checked but can't seem to find a record of it either
Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.
Answer: There is no doubt that Kiwi.com is a scam. If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.
Answer: Because people don't know and they offer cheap flights.
Answer: Kiwi.com are crooks and charlatans. Avoid them. Dispute the charges with your bank if you can, and then spend 30 minutes online piling bad reviews till they are out of business.
Answer: Booking service... and a bad one on the market. Outrageous and not responsable to their customers
Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
