NEVER use kiwi.com. I booked a flight early 2020 and the flights were cancelled. Understandable with everything going on this year. There were several options to get a refund, a few of which were paid options to get them to "expedite" your refund process. I chose the assisted option, which said it would take up to 3 months to get a refund. I figured I wasn't in a hurry, 3 months is no bid deal. I didn't want to pay extra for a service that should be free. It's now been over 7 months and all I get from them is "we are working on it" reply. This year has been full of extenuating circumstances, I understand that things can be complicated. But over 7 months waiting for my refund is entirely unacceptable. So if there is any risk that flights might get moved or cancelled, DO NOT use Kiwi.com.

Kiwi.com is a scam
December 9, 2020

Kiwi.com is a total scam and they will not refund your money for guaranteed cancelations well in advance of the trip. Their responses are crazy, poorly written (like grade schoolers) and merely delay tactics to wear you down; none of their explanations make any sense at all. I was duped! Never book from them regardless of the discount. You will lose your money!

I want to denounce KIWI and KISS & FLY companies. I purchased a ticket with Kiwi and they seemed to be reliable at the beginning. After I purchased my ticket, they changed the schedule of the flight and sent me an email. Then I just wanted my refund and I have been waiting since August 10th and now it's December and NOTHING! I wrote them emails and tried to contact them through phone but the operator asks you to put the booking #, then it picks up that it's an old booking # and automatically says bye and hangs you up. It's totally a scam AND THIEVES! Unfortunately, I called after 60 days to my bank to get a chargeback but they told me that VISA gives you a period of 60 days only. Now it's too late and I'm worried about my $300 that I paid to this fake company. Kiss&Fly are even worse! Be careful, if you go to skyscanner and they give you a cheap price, some prices might come from these websites and they show up in Skyscanner. If someone knows how I recover my refund, please help! May God bless

Worst experience
December 8, 2020

We bought 6 tickets with them for different dates, going to Colombia. All 6 tickets were affected for changes that the airlines made ( copa, spirit, viva air), When we tried to call them several times, finally they answered and they said that they can give us a refund for only $ 100 and we pay more than $ 300, if we want a full refund we have to summited an application and wait 3 months to see the results.
They buckets the tickets in different reservations, so went I was at the airport I have to take out the suites cases for all destinations, go back to the ticket counter again and pay again the fee for the bags. At the end is more expensive with them because you have to pay your bags for every airport you go. And when you need to make a change in your fly because the airline change the reservation, it is a problem because the reservation is not connected and they asked you to pay a fee, plus the difference for the new ticket.

Do not buy with them. It is better to pay a little more at the beginning, because with them is going to be more expensive.

WORST company EVER!
December 7, 2020

Kiwi are the WORST operator I have ever booked a flight with!
First they cancelled my flights, then they said they will fully refund me, then they delay THEIR refund policy (!) by two months and finally they refund $200 less without explanation.
Last but not least, they do not answer the phone calls and they do not respond to the emails!

I am extremely furious with Kiwi. The WORST company I have ever dealt with, not only in terms of flights, but generally.

OMG!

I have been trying to contact them for a query on a refund asked months ago and neither their website works or no one has been in touch. They gave no news on how things are moving forward and keep you in total darkness, and yet they are still booking flights - is a duty to ensure people know to NEVER USE them as they are not transparent or trustworthy

Kiwi is purposely sticky
December 5, 2020

So we've received 2 Kiwi boxes for approx. 8 months during this pandemic. The arrival of the boxes has been punctual and the kids have found the crafts a great help in breaking up the monotony. That being said, Kiwi is exceptionally "sitcky" when it comes to discontinuing the subscription. Initially, I signed up for their 3 month plan - the boxes just kept kept on coming without any notification from the company. Not a single - is this okay? The girls really enjoyed the boxes but after 8 months I felt that the experience had been played out and I went onto their website and followed the directions for ending the subscription but learned today that they once again charged my bank account. So, yes, pretty good product but ending the relationship is like a prolonged breakup - good luck!

This company illegally withholds refunds from its customers if it feels like it. It tries to hide behind "well you didn't pay enough for your ticket for me to try to get you a refund".

They refunded me 16% of a flight back in April that had to be cancelled due to COVID travel restrictions. They promised me timeline after timeline but as of September, 5 months later, they could only give me 16% of it back.

Chat is unhelpful, rude, abrasive, and clearly untrained as they just say the same thing in response to every inquiry. Requests to escalate lead nowhere. Some people have had some success in getting their refund by harassing their CEO on linkedin, so if you want them to behave like a legal business with a conscience who gives a damn at all about their customers, I guess.

RIP off for refund
December 2, 2020

I booked 2 flights for my son for a total of £232 and paid an extra £10 if flights were cancelled and the Ts & Cs agreed on an 80% refund. We had to write to them on various occasions to obtain the refund, even including proof from my bank statement to see that I had paid. Absolute crooks. We received a refund of £71. That is not 80% of £232. Avoid at all costs. They will rip you off.

Scamers!
December 2, 2020

They are just brazen. They are laughing in our face. When I once again wrote to ask for my money back and I indicated that I do not want to hear again that my case has been directed to the financial department, here's what answer I got. Ticketing department this time. I've been waiting 9 months already!

I agree with all these reviewers. KIWI is a SCAM. Never ever book from this site! My ticket to China was purchased last year in December. Due to Covid all the flights got cancelled, yet Kiwi didn't refund my money. Why? I don't know. This $#*!ty site should be banned to exist!

I recently purchased flights to Lisbon from Faro and discovered immediately after booking that this was some sort of a "cheat" flight to Luxembourg so there would be no checked baggage possible. This alone is odd and I haven't encountered before. They also wouldn't process a full refund, offering me 5% of the payment I made in a refund so apparently no 24 hour cancellation/peace of mind guarantee either.

SCAM DO NOT BUY
November 25, 2020

My case: I bought 4 tickets from Copenhagen to Madrid flights. We are a Danish family.

These tickets were for July and for us to go to an event.
Of course, COVID happened and the event was canceled.

We did not go and requested Kiwi to get a refund. Kiwi said they would get us a refund.

Then after months of waiting Kiwi now gave me the refund for ONLY ONE ticket. They did not even request a refund for the three other tickets.

How do I know this? I asked Iberia and they told me!

Then Kiwi says the flight was not canceled, but I have an official certificate from Iberia that says it was canceled.

Iberia also told me that three tickets were bought in Mexican Pesos and one ticket in EUROS. I am so confused but Kiwi does not seem legit to me.

We are talking about over 200€ here so it is not a small amount.

When I ask Kiwi to investigate they give the same copy paste answers:

"We hope this message finds you well. We understand that your time is valuable, and we know how important it is for you to get your concern sorted out. Please be informed that as per checking on our system tracker we have already refunded base on the airlines refund policy."

Which is complete nonsense and does not address what I am saying.

They are really hard to actually talk to...

Really low level of customer support and they are not returning my money.

Don't buy any ticket or make a reservation via KIWI.COM
Since more than 6 months I couldn't get my refund for a flight ticket that was cancelled due to Coronavirus.
I was guaranteed to be given a full refund for my money.
They only answer to postpone or misinform me about my request.
It is horrible to be disgraced with your own money!
I received an email from the transporter which informed me very clearly that I received a refund for the 2 tickets on 20.08.2020 and 27.08.2020 respectively.
KIWI number booking is: ******* and *******

They are a scam. They book cancelled flights, take your money then never refund you. I booked a flight from Spain to Australia on a crazy route through the pandemic. I had 5 legs on my route. Then they claimed that the 1st leg got cancelled, which usually causes the whole trip to be cancelled too (how can you get from port B to port C if your ticket from port A to port B does not exist anymore?). I requested my money back and they offered me $200 bucks, out of the $2,500 i had paid. 90 days in, and still not a word from them..
