The owner of Kiki La'Rue, Becka Clark, told all KiKi La'Rue Insider's that a particular, highly coveted, pink sweater would only be available in limited quantities and on in the Boxed by Becka released in february for $75. Many wanted this sweater and were willing to pay for the Box. Yes, this box contained other items such as a crappy chapstick (seriously Burt's Bees is so much better) and an ugly pleather baseball cap. I did not want or need these items but I was willing to pay for them just to get the sweater. On Tuesday, the exact sweater, or so claimed by her staff, was released via her website for purchase by anyone at $42. This bastardizing the idea of the box and the idea that this sweater would be exclusive. Had I and many others known this we wouldn't have paid $75 for the box. As soon as I stated the disappointment, I was blocked from the Insider's And BST Facebook page.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened to me or one of my friends or family! Recently, I drove over an hour out of my way to visit the store front, after verifying hours with a staff member for the day, to find they were closed.

Not to mention, some of their clothes are of poor quality! I bought a black dress that faded terribly after the first wash and other things that have either been destroyed or shrink terribly after washing. After tags are removed, the rule is no returns for ANY REASON.

This company is disorganized and the acts as if she is the most popupar girl in high school and expects everyone to follow her mindlessly! Anyone who expresses a contrary opinion is immediately black balled!

Please don't spend your money here!

Buyers beware! Do not shop here if you expect credit in the original form of payment, do not shop here if you expect any credit on an order placed using a discount code, do not shop here if you expect any customer service at all. I called the online customer service number and got an automated message that the voicemailbox was full, called the store front number and was told to text the number because it was just an iPhone. I texted and asked for a call back, two days later received a text back. I was told that my store credit is no longer valid since they transitioned to a new system in April. They have no record of my previous orders, and when I produced old email order confirmations was told I should not have received store credit since I had used a coupon code! Wow! Well, I did have store credit and all I can say is the person texting was very rude and unhelpful, and quite unprofessional. I will NEVER shop here again!

I've purchased several items from this company and finally learned my lesson. Way overpriced clothing that is mass produced and can be found for half the cost on other sites. Owner flaunts her money and becomes furious when anyone voices concern over the quality or prices. Website will host "sales" but all of the good items mysteriously leave the site during these times. Don't shop here.

I went into Kiki La Rue in Roanoke recently with a little apprehension after reading some of the reviews on this site. My wife and daughter had both mentioned the place was having a special sale where you could get up to 4 items, whatever would fit in a small shopping bag for a fixed price. They had mentioned some things they liked there, so I saw an opportunity with birthdays coming up to score points with my girls. The first thing I noticed was it was crowded! Next, the friendly greeting from the girl at their coffee bar. So, I went over and ordered one of their very unique offerings. Basically a coconut latte. Good stuff! Then as I began to look around at all the items, wondering how I would ever find anything, a giant of a young man with a beard who was helping out sorting and folding clothes, greeted me and asked if I was finding everything okay. Well, I wasn't so he asked me if he could help me find anything in particular and I told him about a couple of things that my wife had mentioned for herself and my daughter. He knew what I was talking about and told me that those were very popular items, so there was a chance they might be gone in those sizes. But he said, give me a moment and I'll see what I can do. In a matter of moments, he came back with exactly what I had described, and told me that these were indeed the last ones. Needless to say, I was extremely happy. He said he would be working nearby if I needed anything else. I then decided on two more items to fill my bag and went to check out. The young lady behind the counter was very calm even though it was a madhouse and checked me out while telling me of upcoming sales events. I left there with 2 gifts each for my wife and daughter (which they loved!) and plenty of money left. I can't speak to some of the other reviewers here, but if anyone encounters the 3 employees I did, I can't imagine a bad experience.

So many things I could say
September 11, 2016

First and foremost, the owner of Kiki la Crap is a complete $#*!. Tried and true. She will be oh so nice to your face, then turn around to her little minions and talk trash. She treats her staff like $#*!, so there is a constant turn over rate. None of the models stick around because she's so awful. Seriously. If you don't benefit the owner in some way, watch out. She loves her "fans" but as soon as you make a single complaint or bring something to her attention she will jump down your throat and sick her little minions on you. She caters to women with low self esteem by telling them how beautiful they are and that the size 16 girls can fit in a small. HAH. No. Don't kid yourself. The clothing quality is AWFUL. Cheap China made crap at a ridiculous mark up. Jane.com has some of the EXACT same items that she claims are Kiki la crap exclusives. Many items I've bought have literally fallen apart at the seems after 1 wash! Ridiculous! Save your money and your time and check out any other "boutique" but this one.

I bought a couple of things from this store, and I had mixed emotions about my experience with the owner Becka. Then, I talked to not one but two different vendors and they both basically said the same thing... she's a huge fraud and fakes nice to people then talks about everyone behind their back. The quality of the clothing just is decent too.

I came here for the first time a couple of months ago, and every time I would come into the store there were boxes all over the ground full of clothes that I suspect were going to be put out. You couldn't even get to at least 5 racks because of all of the boxes, and no apologies, the store clerk just sat on her phone. The description "mean girls club" fits very well with this business, as the owner and her little minions do not take criticism well. Customer relations are lacking strongly with this boutique. If you are a member of the insiders club on Facebook (I'm sorry for you) but it is chaos, and full of brainwashed women who think they are paying $40 for a quality item that truly probably cost the owner about $6. But don't you dare go on the Facebook page to leave a review or a question because if it isn't 100% positive you will get an army of Regina George wannabe's plus the god awful owner attempting to put you in your place. Stay away unless you want to kiss the ground that they all walk on.

KLR sets the bar for boutique and online shopping experiences! I'm an online customer as I don't live locally. Prior to my introduction to KLR, I had poor luck shopping online. I have a very hard time sizing myself accurately for clothes I have not tried on (and buying jeans online sight unseen... forget it). Then came Kiki! The owner of KLR, Becka, is very engaged with customers through the brand's social media. Her staff is like a family and it shows. Their customer service is truly unmatched. Staff are very interactive and available to offer real-time sizing and styling suggestions. Sizing/measurement information is listed in great detail for each item and each model so it is much easier to determine your size. The models are KLR employees... read: real people with real bodies. It is very helpful to see the clothing on various body types - short, tall, athletic, curvy... the flexibility of these pieces means these clothes work for all types. The clothes are quality material and very well made. Any issues with ordering are easily resolved by calling or texting the responsive and friendly warehouse staff (how many places can you contact and get an actual person who can solve your issue immediately?!). I love every piece of clothing I own from KLR and the confidence that comes from feeling good in my clothes is really what keeps me coming back. The customer experience + community + high quality clothing are the perfect recipe that creates such a huge base of loyal customers.

The BEST
July 15, 2016

Kiki LaRue is AMAZING! Everything about their brand is quality: online boutique, storefront, clothing, staff, and owner! One of my friends added me to their "Insiders" page on facebook and I just stalked for a little while trying to figure out what this whole Kiki LaRue thing was all about (ps I love boutiques and I love shopping). After a couple of months I started asking questions about sizing and SOOO many of the people in the group were helping me understand that this boutique does its ABSOLUTE best to sell clothes for EVERY shape and size. So, after bothering the sweet girls that model/work for KLR and all the insiders, I made my first purchase from their online boutique. I ordered my normal size that I would wear at any other place and it came too big -- I was so shocked that I could size down (it made me feel so amazing!). So I quickly returned my item (for online credit -- which is basically like giving yourself a present to go buy more stuff!) and ordered the same item in a smaller size. MAGIC! Needless to say, after that I was hooked. The storefront is a physical piece of the magic that is online :) The first time I visited the storefront was perfect. I was able to try on items that I had been stalking online and the layout of the store is great -- plus they have a coffee shop with a seating area upstairs and on the porch. I browsed the store for over an hour and wasn't pestered by annoying salespeople trying to make a sale; instead, I was greeted by a sweet girl that told me if I needed anything to come find her. So, I enjoyed trying on clothes and not feeling pressured to buy something -- but of course I did because I love KLR. I could go on for days about the people that work here or the quality of the clothing or the atmosphere they create or the genuine kindness and attention I get from everyone related to Kiki LaRue but I think the best way for you to understand the way I feel is to give them a try :) Kiki LaRue has an amazing social media presence so it isn't hard to find them. Just search Kiki LaRue on Facebook and be a fly on the wall -- you'll see how truly amazing this group really is online and in person!

Shop till you drop
July 12, 2016

As I shop more and more online, I have found that there are few and far between companies you can trust to give you the right measurements for you to find the right fit so that you are not stuck with running back to the post office to return an item you fell in love with! With Kiki Larue the make it near impossible for you to get it wrong... they have multiple models with all different shapes and sizes for you to match up to your size. There social media is on point with using every way to connect with there customers and helping you see whats new and what size would be great for you. The owner Becka Clark, well that name says it all... she is HANDS DOWN the most dedicated owner of a company I have ever seen to be so hands on and involved with being truly sincere with the feelings of her customer base and following! If you are in that surrounding areas of Dallas and can make your way to the store go check it out in Roanoke Tx. If you are an online shopper like me then do yourself the favor of indulging your self fulling in following this company on facebook, instagram or snapchat! You will not be disappointed, and will be doing your body justice by wrapping your body with Kiki Larue Style!

This is by far one of the best clothing stores I have ever shopped at! The clothes literally make me feel beautiful, and what more could a girl really want? I live in Fort Worth, TX which is only about 15-20 minutes away from the Boutique and Warehouse, but sometimes I don't always get to make it to the store so I do a lot of my purchases online, and I have NEVER had a problem with them shipping my items to me. They are always fast and in great packaging. The store is an amazing experience as well though, The Brew Junkie, has some of the BEST coffee, and who doesn't love having a nice cup of coffee while shopping for new clothes?! LOVE THIS PLACE! Please check out the Kiki LaRue Insiders Club! On Facebook for any sizing questions as well!

Perfection!
June 3, 2016

I've been shopping at Kiki LaRue for over 3 years! I have always received nothing but top notch customer service, whether it be from Becka or another member of the staff. I even traveled from MN to TX to visit the store in person for my birthday! I have had to return only a couple things in that amount of time and by reading and following the return policy, I have never had an issue! Kiki LaRue will always be my first stop when I need (or want!) new clothes!

Amazing boutique
May 16, 2016

Love this site and the store so much! I love how they actually provide detailed measurements and show all body types for each of their products. They are all quick to answer your questions and help you find the size that works best for you. If the owner tells you what size you can do with your body type, believe her. I normally wear XL in every other store but I can wear a medium in some of klrs stuff!

I do not live in Texas, rather, up north in New Hampshire. I was introduced to kiki La rue by a friend. Their website is very easy to navigate. The owner Becca is very active not only on the store but online also. I have never bought. Clothes online before because I need to try it on. I don't look like the models on most websites. KLR uses "real" models they list their measurements and stats then I can see whom I relate to the most and buy accordingly. The staff responds to inquiries in a very timely manner, sometimes within minutes.

I have never found a boutique I love as much as this one. I am planning a girls weekend trip with friends to Texas so we can go to their stores. I'm bringing an empty suitcase bc I know it will be full by the time I come home.

Look no further if you want great, stylish, comfortable clothing for all body types. You will. It be disappointed.

Oh last thing, the prices are amazing. When people hear the word boutique they automatically think $$$$. That is not the case with KLR. Everything is very reasonable.

One of my favs!
May 15, 2016

I could write a book on such an amazing place and owner. One of my most favorite boutiques EVER! Great prices, service & clothes period. They go above and beyond any boutique I've seen and answer questions 24/7 specifically to you personally. Hands down customer service is by far the best. Product selection whether shopping in the store or online is always top notch! Shipping is always FREE, and quick!

The person who runs this boutique is a horrible person and runs a horrible business. Anytime someone has any kind of issue they are verbally attacked. The clothes are cheaply made yet sell for twice as much as the same exact clothes at other online boutiques. They thrive on finding women with low self esteem, telling them they are beautiful, and then selling them ridiculously sized clothes. To all you women with low self esteem: you are beautiful, but please find that validation somewhere other than Kiki La'rue. If you don't believe me, just google them and you will find a site with literally hundreds of pages of people complaining about the quality of clothes, the unethical business practices, and the horrible owner of the company.

What can I say? This by far is my favorite store/boutique! As a plus size woman I have hard time finding clothes that are stylish and don't make me look older than I am or bigger. Well with Kiki La'Rue that has changed! I am slowly relaxing everything in my closet :). The customer service is amazing! They truly know all their items and what will work and not work for you. Every staff member I have spoken with are so sweet and don't come off salesy! Their goal is not for you to spend money or to make money. They truly want you happy. Whenever I have done a return, I have gotten store credit within a timely manner. I will say this again... If you want to feel like your family or cared for, shop at Kiki LaRue! I cannot wait to visit the store one day!
