This was the first time I bought anything from Keh and it was a very good experience from buying my lens to the delivery. I love this lens and I saved myself money. I will definitely buy from them again.
I took a chance by ordering a UG Promaster 70-300 lens sight unseen. Upon arrival, I opened it to find that some of the front lens coating had worn off and also some dust was present in the lens barrel. Not a problem since I have already had experience taking apart and cleaning my other lenses. I can see why it was labeled as ugly and priced as such. I proceeded to mount it on my Sony A3000 along with a Fotodiox lens adapter. Once I had the lens focused on a distant mountain range, I took a few photos and then reviewed them.
I was simply touched that these photos were absolutely crystal clear without any signs of dirt, dust or anything out of the ordinary. Amazingly, the front optics looks ugly, but the end results are pictures that are just immaculate. I am just thrilled with the end results. From now on, I will just take my chances and purchase lenses that are either BGN or UGL since they can be rather jewels in the rough.
Only gripe with website is that looking by brand doesn't show all items by that brand. E.g. Not all Hasselblad lenses show up when searching by brand, but they do show up with a text search for 'hasselblad'.

As with many older lenses, they are sometimes hard to grade. I got a Canon fd 28-85mm zoom. The actual case and physical appearance is one of Excellent. But the zoom is a bit sloppy and their is quite a bit of focus barrel play. I have now sent this to your repair department to get this worked on. Maybe items listed as excellent should be better evaluated, or evaluated excellent but XX or YY. I know there are rubber and copper guides used in many of these older FDs that fall apart over time, and I have high praise for your repair department in doing the best they can with 35-40 year old lenses!
I was nervous to buy a film camera on a eBay or Amazon and trusting what the seller thought was the quality with no guarantee. Having KEH's eating system and warranty was amazing and reassuring. Received my Canon AE-1 Program and feels like it's new.
