I recently received my second order of Kamikoto knives - my first purchase was the kanpeki set, and this one was the kensai set.

The customer service could not have been better - on my first order, I submitted an inquiry and received a response with 12 hours, and on the second order I received my purchase roughly 2 weeks before I had anticipated receiving them.

The knives themselves are truly first rate, although using a single bevel knife does require a learning curve. Absolutely gorgeous workmanship, as well as nearly indestructible. Having had my first set for a year, home use, I have only sharpened them twice in that time.

I could not recommend Kamikoto and their knives any more highly, and their customer service is something you simply do no encounter in terms of quality - an absolutely A+ experience and products.

After my first purchase of the cleaver, I fell in love with the design and the quality of Kakimoto knives. With my second order, the package was unfortunately lost during the delivery. The customer service took care of the issue and sent the replacement right away. I never write product reviews but I'm compelled to let the world know Kamikoto is committed to deliver the best knife quality as well as impeccable customer service.

I received my Senshi knife set recently. The packaging, wooden box and display stand were a pleasure to behold. The knives are works of art - precision made, well balanced, sharp as a razor, sleek hygienic design, and branded with quality text and graphics. I would have paid twice the price if I knew how well received they were going to be. It is a joy to use these knives for food preparation. Do not be fooled by cheaper products which certainly will not carry the Japanese standard of perfection or instill such a feeling of respect for the makers. They are my katana and wakizashi of the kitchen! Very happy.

My order arrived yesterday, just as forecasted. I had just enough time to unpack and use them to prepare supper. They are most amazing. Perfect weight and balance, and they are sharper out of the box than many knives that I've carefully honed. I could not be more pleased.

This is my third purchase I liked my cleaver so much, I gave my son one for his birthday. Both him and his wife are giddy with the knife.

I have the 7 knife set coming in a couple of days I am excited to put them to work The Black is next.

We ordered the Compete Collection from Kamikoto! The knife set is by far the best knife set I've ever owned! However, on delivery the 7" Santoku Knife had the last 1.5" of the blade flattened out and lost the natural curvature of the blade. A minor defect and still razor sharp. We contacted Kamikoto concerning the defect and they scheduled a replacement to be sent out within 12 hrs! Plus they're letting us keep the first knife for our troubles!

All in all AMAZING customer service and beautiful knifes! I can't wait to start using them!

Excellent set of knives. Each of them have perfectly balanced weight in hand; not too heavy or too light. The handle feels nice with a good grip and quality material. I've only used the utility and vegetable knife to cut tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, lettuce, onions and potatoes I have to say it makes me enjoy my time in the kitchen even more than the usual. You can slice vegetables to be a thin as paper and there's absolutely no need to press down on the knife to do so. The Kanpeki set is amongst the best knives I've ever used hands down.
What also makes Kamikoto great is the exceptional level of customer service that I've experienced. Every time I've been in contact with the customer service regarding my shipment and an issue that came up later, they were very professional and courteous in handling the situation and gave me a sense of satisfaction at the end of the conversation. Thank you Kamikoto for the excellent knives and for the exceptional experience!
