I have given several sets of these as gifts and I personally have most of what they sell. Their shipping is slow and what they consider "razor sharp" falls below expectations. They must be sharpened to perform and be functionally sharp advertised. They do look nice and are a great gift but they are a little overpriced even with their discount.
Don't touch mine. Buy your own. These are great knives.
Once again the crafters at Kamikoto have presented a superb blade in the Yanagiba. It is a blade to look at and handle with wonder, and great respect, and is the epitome of their craft. From attracting my attention with another unique blade, to ordering, delivery, and opening the presentation box, simple and focused in its own way, Kamikoto has done so with ease, attention to detail, and a fast and friendly response. We are thoroughly pleased with all of the blades we have acquired with Kamikoto, but none so much as with the Yanagiba.
Looks sharp and cuts sharp. The weight, balance and feel in hand is outstanding. Wish I could afford other models of this wonderful utensil.
I'm left handed and they made me left handed knives for no charge. They do care about their customers.

I must say they are the sharpest and most ergonomic (user friendly) steak knives I've used.
It's a joy slicing and dicing steaks when the knife is comfortable to hold, easy to use, and extremely sharp. Fit for purpose!

I have been a Kamikoto client for some year now. My recent order, a Chuka Bocho Cleaver, arrived quickly and it is a great knife. However, the parcel service asked for an additional delivery fee while Kamikoto promised free delivery. I paid. Then I forwarded the invoice to Kamikoto and asked if they would refund - they did within 24 hours. THIS is amazing customer service - and therefore I will also order in the future from Kamikoto. They truly honor their promise and exceed expectations. Thank you!

A really high end knife at a fraction of the price. You are getting a Bugatti for the price of a Cadalac easily. I give these Knives to my Executives and they tell me that is their first ever "real" knife. I just bought the 17" Chef's knife and it is awesome. But I am a real Chef and a connoisseur of fine knives. I love it. It will slice sashimi or steak beautifully. It will thin slice smoked salmon effortlessly. I am a huge fan.
I ordered a set of knives weeks ago and havent even received tracking information. If l knew it wouldve been this difficult to get a set of knives online l would never had bought them.
